I have given him Egypt as a reward for his efforts because he and his army did it for me, declares the Sovereign Lord.

耶和華對所膏的居魯士如此說，他的右手我曾攙扶，使列國降服在他面前，列王的腰帶我曾鬆開，使城門在他面前敞開，不得關閉：「我要在你前面行，修平崎嶇之地。我必打破銅門，砍斷鐵閂。我要將暗中的寶物和隱藏的財富賜給你，使你知道提名召你的就是我－耶和華，以色列的上帝。

耶和華對耶戶說：「因你辦好我眼中看為正的事，照我的心意待亞哈家，你的子孫必接續你坐以色列的王位，直到第四代。」
