“ Son of man, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon made his army labor strenuously against Tyre. Every head was made bald and every shoulder chafed, but he and his army received no compensation from Tyre for the labor he expended against it.

『人子啊，巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒使他的軍隊賣了好大力氣來攻打推羅，以致頭都光禿了，肩膀都磨平了；然而他和他的軍隊之攻打推羅、並沒有從推羅得到甚麼酬勞來報他所賣的力氣呀。

人子歟、巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒、遣師以攻推羅、乃為大役、故皆髠首破肩、而王及軍旅、未得攻推羅之犒勞、

人子、巴比倫王、尼布甲尼撒勞師興眾、以攻推羅、負載辛勤、故首為去髮、肩為去皮、無一人不若是、王與軍旅攻城、未得犒勞、

人子、巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒、使其軍旅環攻推羅、勞苦已極、首各除髮、肩各裂皮、彼與軍旅、攻推羅辛勤、未得犒勞、

“ Son of man, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon drove his army in a hard campaign against Tyre; every head was rubbed bare and every shoulder made raw. Yet he and his army got no reward from the campaign he led against Tyre.

“ Son of man, King Nebuchadnezzar drove his army in a hard military campaign. The campaign was against Tyre. Their helmets rubbed their heads bare. The heavy loads they carried made their shoulders raw. But he and his army did not gain anything from the campaign he led against Tyre.

“ Son of man, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon made his army labor hard against Tyre. Every head was made bald, and every shoulder was rubbed bare, yet neither he nor his army got anything from Tyre to pay for the labor that he had performed against her.

“ Son of man, the army of King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon fought so hard against Tyre that the warriors’ heads were rubbed bare and their shoulders were raw and blistered. Yet Nebuchadnezzar and his army won no plunder to compensate them for all their work.

“ Son of man, King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon made his army labor strenuously against Tyre. Every head was made bald and every shoulder chafed, but he and his army received no compensation from Tyre for the labor he expended against it.

“ Son of man, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon made his army labor hard against Tyre; every head had a bald spot and every shoulder was rubbed raw. But he and his army acquired no wages from Tyre for the labor that he had performed against it.”

Son of man, Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon caused his army to serve a great service against Tyrus: every head[ was] made bald, and every shoulder[ was] peeled: yet had he no wages, nor his army, for Tyrus, for the service that he had served against it:

“ Son of man, King Nebuchadrezzar of Babylon made his army labor hard against Tyre. Every head was rubbed bald and every shoulder rubbed bare; yet he and his army received no wages from Tyre for the work he carried out against it.

“ Son of man, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon caused his army to serve a great service against Tyre. Every head was made bald, and every shoulder was worn; yet he had no wages, nor did his army, from Tyre, for the service that he had served against it.

So now I have placed all these lands under the authority of My servant Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon. I have even given him the wild animals to serve him.

I am going to send for all the families of the north’— this is the Lord’s declaration—‘ and send for My servant Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and I will bring them against this land, against its residents, and against all these surrounding nations, and I will completely destroy them and make them a desolation, a derision, and ruins forever.

For this is what the Lord God says:“ See, I am about to bring King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon, king of kings, against Tyre from the north with horses, chariots, cavalry, and a vast company of troops.He will slaughter your villages on the mainland with the sword. He will set up siege works against you, and will build a ramp and raise a wall of shields against you.He will direct the blows of his battering rams against your walls and tear down your towers with his iron tools.His horses will be so numerous that their dust will cover you. When he enters your gates as an army entering a breached city, your walls will shake from the noise of cavalry, wagons, and chariots.He will trample all your streets with the hooves of his horses. He will slaughter your people with the sword, and your mighty pillars will fall to the ground.They will take your wealth as spoil and plunder your merchandise. They will also demolish your walls and tear down your beautiful homes. Then they will throw your stones, timber, and soil into the water.

Indeed, every head is bald and every beard clipped; on every hand is a gash and sackcloth around the waist.
