So I threw you to the ground and exposed you to the curious gaze of kings.You defiled your sanctuaries with your many sins and your dishonest trade. So I brought fire out from within you, and it consumed you. I reduced you to ashes on the ground in the sight of all who were watching.

For God did not spare even the angels who sinned. He threw them into hell, in gloomy pits of darkness, where they are being held until the day of judgment.

“ How you are fallen from heaven, O shining star, son of the morning! You have been thrown down to the earth, you who destroyed the nations of the world.

Godliness makes a nation great, but sin is a disgrace to any people.

The garlands have fallen from our heads. Weep for us because we have sinned.

But I did find this: God created people to be virtuous, but they have each turned to follow their own downward path.”

The Lord observed the extent of human wickedness on the earth, and he saw that everything they thought or imagined was consistently and totally evil.So the Lord was sorry he had ever made them and put them on the earth. It broke his heart.

Then God looked over all he had made, and he saw that it was very good! And evening passed and morning came, marking the sixth day.
