這風聲傳到埃及；埃及人為泰爾的風聲極其疼痛。泰爾人哪，你們當過到他施去；沿海的居民哪，你們都當哀號。這是你們歡樂的城，從上古而有的嗎？其中的居民往遠方寄居。

主耶和華對泰爾如此說：「在你中間行殺戮，受傷之人唉哼的時候，因你傾倒的響聲，海島豈不都震動嗎？

他施的民哪，可以流行你的地，好像尼羅河；不再有腰帶拘緊你。耶和華已經向海伸手，震動列國。至於迦南，他已經吩咐拆毀其中的保障。他又說：受欺壓西頓的居民哪，你必不得再歡樂。起來！過到基提去；就是在那裏也不得安歇。（

你掌舵的呼號之聲一發，郊野都必震動。凡盪槳的和水手，並一切泛海掌舵的，都必下船登岸。他們必為你放聲痛哭，把塵土撒在頭上，在灰中打滾；

海島的居民為你驚奇；他們的君王都甚恐慌，面帶愁容。

海島看見就都害怕；地極也都戰兢，就近前來。
