我要藉我子民以色列的手報復以東；他們必照我的怒氣，按我的憤怒對待以東，以東人就知道施報的是我。這是主耶和華說的。」

我必將我報復以東的事交於我人民以色列手中；以色列民必照我的怒氣我的烈怒去向以東施行；以東人就認識我的報復的作為：這是主永恆主發神諭說的。

假我民以色列之手、依我烈怒大忿、行報復於以東、使知我之報復、主耶和華言之矣、○

我震怒以東、必使我民以色列族、侵伐其土地、以雪我忿、使知我實降是災、我耶和華已言之矣。

我必藉我民以色列之手、復報以東人、彼必循我之盛忿烈怒、行刑在以東、使以東人知我如何加報、此乃主天主所言、○

I will take vengeance on Edom by the hand of my people Israel, and they will deal with Edom in accordance with my anger and my wrath; they will know my vengeance, declares the Sovereign Lord.’”

I will use my people Israel to pay Edom back. They will punish Edom because my anger against it is great. They will know how I pay back my enemies,” announces the Lord and King.

And I will lay my vengeance upon Edom by the hand of my people Israel, and they shall do in Edom according to my anger and according to my wrath, and they shall know my vengeance, declares the Lord God.

I will accomplish this by the hand of my people of Israel. They will carry out my vengeance with anger, and Edom will know that this vengeance is from me. I, the Sovereign Lord, have spoken!

I will take my vengeance on Edom through my people Israel, and they will deal with Edom according to my anger and wrath. So they will know my vengeance. This is the declaration of the Lord GOD.

And I will inflict My vengeance on Edom by the hand of My people Israel. Therefore, they will act in Edom in accordance with My anger and My wrath; so they will know My vengeance,” declares the Lord God.

願萬民事奉你，萬族向你下拜。願你作你弟兄的主，你母親的兒子向你下拜。詛咒你的，願他受詛咒；祝福你的，願他蒙祝福。」

他們要飛向西方，撲在非利士人的肩頭上，他們要一同擄掠東方人，他們的手伸到以東和摩押；亞捫人也必順服他們。

耶和華是忌邪、報應的上帝。耶和華施報應，大有憤怒；耶和華向他的敵人報應，向他的仇敵懷怒。耶和華不輕易發怒，大有能力，但耶和華萬不以有罪的為無罪。他的道路在旋風和暴風之中，雲彩為他腳下的塵土。他斥責海，使海枯乾，使一切江河乾涸。巴珊和迦密衰殘，黎巴嫩的花草也衰殘了。

看哪，日子將到，我必使人聽見打仗的喊聲，攻擊亞捫人所住的拉巴的喊聲。拉巴要成為廢墟，屬它的鄉鎮要被火焚燒。這是耶和華說的。先前承受以色列為業的，此時以色列倒要承受他們為業。這是耶和華說的。

伸冤報應在我，到了時候他們會失腳。因為他們遭難的日子近了，他們的厄運快要臨到。耶和華見他的百姓毫無能力，無論是為奴的、自由的，都沒有存留，就必為他們伸冤，為自己的僕人發憐憫。

向山和巖石說：「倒在我們身上吧！把我們藏起來，躲避坐寶座者的臉面和羔羊的憤怒；因為他們遭憤怒的大日子到了，誰能站得住呢？」

這從以東的波斯拉來，穿紅衣服，裝扮華美，能力廣大，大步向前邁進的是誰呢？就是我，憑公義說話，以大能施行拯救的。你為何以紅色裝扮？你的衣服為何像踹醡酒池的人呢？我獨自踹醡酒池，萬民中並無一人與我同在。我發怒，將他們踹下，發烈怒將他們踐踏。他們的血濺在我的衣服上，玷污了我一切的衣裳。因為報仇之日在我心中，救贖我民之年已經來到。我仰望，見無人幫助；我詫異，竟無人扶持。因此，我的膀臂為我施行拯救；我的烈怒將我扶持。我發怒，踹下眾民；發烈怒，使他們喝醉，又將他們的血倒在地上。

所以主耶和華說：我指着我的永生起誓，我必照你因仇恨向他們發的怒氣和嫉妒對待你；我審判你的時候，要在他們中間顯明自己。

義人見仇敵遭報就歡喜，他要在惡人的血中洗腳。因此，人必說：「義人誠然有善報，在地上果然有施行審判的上帝！」

因為我們知道誰說：「伸冤在我，我必報應。」又說：「主要審判他的百姓。」落在永生上帝的手裏真是可怕呀！
