But they, righteous people, will judge them with the judgment of adulteresses and with the judgment of women who shed blood, because they are adulteresses and blood is on their hands.

I searched for a man among them who would build up a wall and stand in the gap before Me for the land, so that I would not destroy it; but I found no one.So I have poured out My indignation on them; I have consumed them with the fire of My wrath; I have brought their way upon their heads,” declares the Lord God.

When I saw her, I wondered greatly.

‘ Then My anger will be spent and I will satisfy My wrath on them, and I will be appeased; then they will know that I, the Lord, have spoken in My zeal, when I have spent My wrath upon them.

Send them away from My presence and have them go!And it shall be that when they say to you,‘ Where should we go?’ then you are to tell them,‘ This is what the Lord says:“ Those destined for death, to death; And those destined for the sword, to the sword; And those destined for famine, to famine; And those destined for captivity, to captivity.” ’And I will appoint over them four kinds of doom,” declares the Lord:“ the sword to kill, the dogs to drag away, and the birds of the sky and the animals of the earth to devour and destroy.I will make them an object of terror among all the kingdoms of the earth because of Manasseh, the son of Hezekiah, the king of Judah, for what he did in Jerusalem.

The children gather wood, the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead dough to make sacrificial cakes for the queen of heaven; and they pour out drink offerings to other gods in order to provoke Me to anger.

therefore, behold, I am going to gather all your lovers whom you pleased, all those whom you loved as well as all those whom you hated. Why this great outburst of anger?’Then people will say,‘ It is because they abandoned the covenant of the Lord, the God of their fathers, which He made with them when He brought them out of the land of Egypt.And they went and served other gods and worshiped them, gods that they have not known and whom He had not assigned to them.Therefore, the anger of the Lord burned against that land, to bring upon it every curse which is written in this book;and the Lord uprooted them from their land in anger, fury, and in great wrath, and hurled them into another land, as it is this day.’

Therefore this is what the Lord God says:“ Behold, My anger and My wrath will be poured out on this place, on human and animal life, and on the trees of the field and the fruit of the ground; and it will burn and not be quenched.”

“ Many nations will pass by this city; and they will say to one another,‘ Why has the Lord done this to this great city?’Then they will answer,‘ Because they abandoned the covenant of the Lord their God and bowed down to other gods and served them.’ ”

Since they have abandoned Me and have burned incense to other gods, so that they may provoke Me to anger with all the works of their hands, My wrath will be poured out on this place and it will not be quenched.” ’

saying,‘ Woe, woe, the great city, she who was clothed in fine linen and purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold, precious stones, and pearls;

Therefore do not go on passing judgment before the time, but wait until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the things hidden in the darkness and disclose the motives of human hearts; and then praise will come to each person from God.

And He said to me,“ Do you see this, son of man? Is it a trivial thing for the house of Judah to commit the abominations which they have committed here, that they have filled the land with violence and provoked Me to anger repeatedly? Yet behold, they are putting the twig to their nose!Therefore, I indeed will deal in wrath. My eye will have no pity nor will I spare; and though they cry out in My ears with a loud voice, yet I will not listen to them.”

For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you.

Since they have abandoned Me and have burned incense to other gods so that they may provoke Me to anger with all the work of their hands, My wrath burns against this place, and it shall not be quenched.’ ”
