‘ Therefore, this is what the Lord God says:“ Woe to the bloody city, To the pot in which there is rust And whose rust has not gone out of it! Take out of it piece after piece, Without making a choice.

主耶和華曰、禍哉血邑、生銹之鼎、厥誘未去、其中之肉、逐一取出、毋庸掣籤得之、

主耶和華曰、斯邑之民、殺人無度、禍必不遠、可比沸鼎、其銹常在、不為洗滌、鼎中數方之肉、取之以出、毋庸遴選。

主天主如是云、斯邑有殺人流血之事、禍必臨之、可比有銹之釜、銹未除於其中、當以肉塊、一一取於其中、不庸掣籤以選、

“‘ For this is what the Sovereign Lord says:“‘ Woe to the city of bloodshed, to the pot now encrusted, whose deposit will not go away! Take the meat out piece by piece in whatever order it comes.

The Lord and King says,“ How terrible it will be for this city! It has so many murderers in it. How terrible for the pot that is coated with scum! The scum on it will not go away. Take the meat out of the pot piece by piece. Take it out in whatever order it comes.

“ Therefore thus says the Lord God: Woe to the bloody city, to the pot whose corrosion is in it, and whose corrosion has not gone out of it! Take out of it piece after piece, without making any choice.

“ Now this is what the Sovereign Lord says: What sorrow awaits Jerusalem, the city of murderers! She is a cooking pot whose corruption can’t be cleaned out. Take the meat out in random order, for no piece is better than another.

“‘ Therefore, this is what the Lord GOD says: Woe to the city of bloodshed, the pot that has corrosion inside it, and its corrosion has not come out of it! Empty it piece by piece; lots should not be cast for its contents.

‘ Therefore thus says the Lord GOD:“ Woe to the bloody city, To the pot whose scum is in it, And whose scum is not gone from it! Bring it out piece by piece, On which no lot has fallen.

Wherefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Woe to the bloody city, to the caldron whose rust is therein, and whose rust is not gone out of it! take out of it piece after piece; No lot is fallen upon it.

Therefore, this is what the Lord God says: Woe to the city of bloodshed, the pot that has rust inside it, and whose rust will not come off! Empty it piece by piece; lots should not be cast for its contents.

Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the bloody city, to the pot whose scum[ is] therein, and whose scum is not gone out of it! bring it out piece by piece; let no lot fall upon it.

“‘ Therefore this is what the sovereign LORD says: Woe to the city of bloodshed, the pot whose rot is in it, whose rot has not been removed from it! Empty it piece by piece. No lot has fallen on it.

“‘ Therefore the Lord Yahweh says:“ Woe to the bloody city, to the cauldron whose rust is in it, and whose rust hasn’t gone out of it! Take out of it piece after piece. No lot is fallen on it.

“ And you, son of man, will you judge, will you judge the bloody city? Then inform her of all her abominations.

Woe to the bloody city, completely full of lies and pillage; Her prey does not leave.

The godly person has perished from the land, And there is no upright person among mankind. All of them lie in wait for bloodshed; Each of them hunts the other with a net.

Yet she became an exile, She went into captivity; Also her small children were smashed to pieces At the head of every street; They cast lots for her honorable men, And all her great men were bound with shackles.

Her leaders within her are like wolves tearing the prey, by shedding blood and destroying lives in order to make dishonest profit.

and also for the innocent blood which he shed, for he filled Jerusalem with innocent blood; and the Lord was unwilling to forgive.

On the day that you stood aloof, On the day that strangers carried off his wealth, And foreigners entered his gate And cast lots for Jerusalem— You too were as one of them.

Then Joshua said,“ Open the mouth of the cave and bring these five kings out to me from the cave.”

And each man said to his mate,“ Come, let’s cast lots so that we may find out on whose account this catastrophe has struck us.” So they cast lots, and the lot fell on Jonah.

But to the others He said in my presence,“ Go through the city after him and strike; do not let your eye have pity and do not spare.Utterly kill old men, young men, female virgins, little children, and women, but do not touch any person on whom is the mark; and you shall start from My sanctuary.” So they started with the elders who were before the temple.

You have multiplied your slain in this city, and filled its streets with them.”Therefore, this is what the Lord God says:“ Your slain whom you have laid in the midst of the city are the meat and this city is the pot; but I will bring you out of it.You have feared a sword; so I will bring a sword upon you,” the Lord God declares.“ And I will bring you out of the midst of the city, and hand you over to strangers, and execute judgments against you.

This city will not be a pot for you, nor will you be meat in the midst of it; I will judge you to the border of Israel.

And I saw the woman drunk with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the witnesses of Jesus. When I saw her, I wondered greatly.

Then set it empty on its burning coals So that it may be hot And its bronze may glow, And its filthiness may be melted in it, Its rust eliminated.She has wearied Me with work, Yet her great rust has not gone from her; Let her rust be in the fire!In your filthiness is outrageous sin. Because I would have cleansed you, Yet you are not clean, You will not be cleansed from your filthiness again Until I have expended My wrath on you.

For they have committed adultery, and blood is on their hands. So they have committed adultery with their idols, and even made their sons, whom they bore to Me, pass through the fire to them as food.Again, they have done this to Me: they have defiled My sanctuary on the same day, and have profaned My Sabbaths.For when they slaughtered their children for their idols, they entered My sanctuary on the same day to profane it; and behold, this is what they did within My house.“ Furthermore, they have even sent for men who come from a great distance, to whom a messenger was sent; and behold, they came— for whom you bathed, put makeup on your eyes, and adorned yourselves with jewelry;and you sat on a splendid couch with a table arranged in front of it on which you had set My incense and My oil.And the sound of a carefree multitude was with her; and heavy drinkers were brought from the wilderness with people from the multitude of humanity. And they put bracelets on the wrists of the women and beautiful crowns on their heads.“ Then I said concerning her who was worn out by adulteries,‘ Will they now commit adultery with her when she is like this?’But they went in to her as they would go in to a prostitute. This is how they went in to Oholah and to Oholibah, the lewd women.But they, righteous people, will judge them with the judgment of adulteresses and with the judgment of women who shed blood, because they are adulteresses and blood is on their hands.

Among you they have taken bribes to shed blood; you have taken interest, you have injured your neighbors by oppression, and you have forgotten Me,” declares the Lord God.

so that upon you will fall the guilt of all the righteous blood shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar.

So Joshua got up early in the morning and brought Israel forward by tribes, and the tribe of Judah was selected.So he brought the family of Judah forward, and he selected the family of the Zerahites; then he brought the family of the Zerahites forward man by man, and Zabdi was selected.And he brought his household forward man by man; and Achan, son of Carmi, son of Zabdi, son of Zerah, from the tribe of Judah, was selected.

“ Behold, the rulers of Israel, each according to his power, have been among you for the purpose of shedding blood.They have treated father and mother with contempt among you. They have oppressed the stranger in your midst; they have oppressed the orphan and the widow among you.You have despised My holy things and profaned My Sabbaths.Slanderous men have been among you for the purpose of shedding blood, and among you they have eaten at the mountain shrines. In your midst they have committed outrageous sin.

And in her was found the blood of prophets and of saints, and of all who have been slaughtered on the earth.”

They have also cast lots for My people, Traded a boy for a prostitute, And sold a girl for wine so that they may drink.

Furthermore, Manasseh shed very much innocent blood until he had filled Jerusalem from one end to another, besides his sin into which he misled Judah, in doing evil in the sight of the Lord.

When they have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up out of the abyss will make war with them, and overcome them and kill them.And their dead bodies will lie on the street of the great city which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified.

Therefore, this is what the Lord God says:“ Woe to the bloody city! I also will make the wood pile great.

And He defeated Moab, and measured them with the line, making them lie down on the ground; and he measured two lines to put to death, and a full line to keep alive. And the Moabites became servants to David, bringing tribute.

The bellows blow fiercely, The lead is consumed by the fire; In vain the refining goes on, But the wicked are not separated.

Then he said to all Israel,“ You shall be on one side, and I and my son Jonathan will be on the other side.” And the people said to Saul,“ Do what seems good to you.”Therefore, Saul said to the Lord, the God of Israel,“ Give a perfect lot.” And Jonathan and Saul were selected by lot, but the people were exonerated.Then Saul said,“ Cast lots between me and my son Jonathan.” And Jonathan was selected by lot.
