當為悖逆之家設譬曰、主耶和華云、置鼎於火、傾水於中、

當罕譬而喻、以示違逆之家、曰、主耶和華曰、置鼎於火、盛之於水、

當為此悖逆之族設譬喻、告之曰、主天主如是云、當置釜於火、置而傾水其中、

Tell this rebellious people a parable and say to them:‘ This is what the Sovereign Lord says:“‘ Put on the cooking pot; put it on and pour water into it.

Your people refuse to obey me. So tell them a story. Say to them,‘ The Lord and King told me,“‘ “Put a cooking pot on the fire. Pour water into it.

And utter a parable to the rebellious house and say to them, Thus says the Lord God:“ Set on the pot, set it on; pour in water also;

Then give these rebels an illustration with this message from the Sovereign Lord:“ Put a pot on the fire, and pour in some water.

Now speak a parable to the rebellious house. Tell them,‘ This is what the Lord GOD says: Put the pot on the fire— put it on, and then pour water into it!

Present a parable to the rebellious house and say to them,‘ This is what the Lord God says:“ Put on the pot, put it on and also pour water into it;

And utter a parable to the rebellious house, and say to them,‘ Thus says the Lord GOD:“ Put on a pot, set it on, And also pour water into it.

And utter a parable unto the rebellious house, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah, Set on the caldron, set it on, and also pour water into it:

Now speak a parable to the rebellious house. Tell them: This is what the Lord God says: Put the pot on the fire— put it on, and then pour water into it!

And utter a parable unto the rebellious house, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Set on a pot, set[ it] on, and also pour water into it:

Recite a proverb to this rebellious house and say to them,‘ This is what the sovereign LORD says:“‘ Set on the pot, set it on, pour water in it too;

Utter a parable to the rebellious house, and tell them,‘ The Lord Yahweh says,“ Put the cauldron on the fire. Put it on, and also pour water into it.

「人子啊，你要向以色列人出謎語，講比喻，

於是我說：「唉，主耶和華啊，他們在議論我說，『這人豈不是在說比喻嗎？』」

他們說，『建造房屋的時候不是到了嗎？我們的城像鐵鍋一樣堅固，我們像在鍋裡的肉一樣得到保護。』

人子啊，不要怕他們和他們的話，雖然你周圍佈滿荊棘和毒蠍，也不要害怕。他們是一群叛逆的人，你不要怕他們的話，也不要因為他們的臉色而驚慌。

諸天啊，請聽！大地啊，要側耳聽！耶和華說：「我把孩子撫育成人，他們竟然背叛我。

「人子啊，我派你去那背叛我的以色列人那裡。他們和他們的祖先至今仍背叛我。

主耶和華說：「這像鏽鍋一樣充滿血腥的城有禍了！要把肉從這鏽跡斑斑的鍋中一塊塊地取出來。

我要開口講比喻，道出古時的奧秘，

耶和華說：「我悖逆的兒女有禍了！他們不遵行我的旨意，按自己的計劃行事；未經我同意，擅自與人結盟，不斷犯罪。

「人子啊，你要聽我對你說的話，不要像他們那樣叛逆，要張開口吃我賜給你的。」

他們是悖逆的民族，是說謊的兒女，不肯聽從耶和華的教導。

「你要對這些悖逆的人說，『你們不明白這比喻的意思嗎？』要告訴他們，巴比倫王攻取了耶路撒冷，把其中的君王和大臣擄到巴比倫，

耶穌便說：「上帝國的奧祕只讓你們知道，對其他人，我就用比喻，使他們看卻看不見，聽卻聽不明白。

耶和華又對我說：「你看見什麼？」我回答說：「我看見一鍋煮沸的水，從北方傾倒下來。」

「你們這些頑固不化、耳不聽心不悔的人，經常抗拒聖靈，所作所為和你們的祖先如出一轍！

說，『你的母親像什麼？她就像獅群中的母獅，臥在雄壯的獅子中養育幼獅。她養大一隻幼獅，使牠成為雄壯的獅子。牠學會了捕食吃人。列國的人知道後，便設陷阱捉住牠，用鉤子拉到埃及。母獅盼著牠回來，眼見指望落空，便又養育一頭幼獅，使牠成為雄壯的獅子。牠出入獅群，學會了捕食和吃人。牠夷平列國的堡壘，使他們的城邑淪為廢墟，遍地都因牠的咆哮而震驚。於是，列國便從四面圍攻牠，設網羅捕捉牠。牠落入他們的陷阱。他們用鉤子鉤住牠，關進籠裡，解送到巴比倫王那裡囚禁起來。於是，在以色列的山嶺上再也聽不見他的吼聲。「『你母親像葡萄園中的一棵葡萄樹，栽在溪水旁，枝繁葉茂，碩果纍纍，因為水源充沛。它的枝子粗壯，可作王的杖。它的樹幹高大，直插雲霄，枝葉茂密，遠遠可見。但它被憤怒地連根拔起，拋在地上。東風吹乾了它的果實，粗壯的枝幹折斷枯乾，被火焚燒。現在，它被栽種在乾旱的曠野。但火從枝幹蔓延，燒毀了它的果實，沒有留下一根粗壯的枝幹可作王的杖。』「這是一首哀歌，也必用作哀歌。」

這城必不是你們的鍋，你們也必不是其中的肉，我必在全以色列施行審判。

我是耶和華，我的話都必實現，決不遲延。你們這叛逆的人啊，我說的話必在你們有生之年應驗！」這是主耶和華說的。

他們聽出這比喻是針對他們說的，就想逮捕耶穌，但又害怕百姓，只好先離開了。

「人子啊，你住在叛逆的人當中。他們有眼睛卻視而不見，有耳朵卻聽而不聞，因為他們是叛逆的人。

到那日，人們要唱哀歌譏諷你們說，『我們徹底完了，耶和華把我們的產業轉給別人。祂竟拿走我們的產業，把田地分給擄掠我們的人。』」

我要使你的額比火石更硬，如同金剛石。他們雖然是一群叛逆的人，你不要害怕，也不要因為他們的臉色而驚慌。」

所以，主耶和華說，你們在城中殺死的人就是肉，這城就是鍋，但我必把你們從鍋中拉出來。

他們卻叛逆，使祂的聖靈憂傷。於是，祂與他們為敵，親自攻擊他們。

由於耶和華的憤怒，巴比倫必無人居住，荒涼不堪。她滿目瘡痍，令路人驚懼、嗤笑。弓箭手啊，你們要列陣圍攻巴比倫，向她猛射，不要吝嗇箭枝，因為她得罪了耶和華。
