“在兄弟中作大祭司的，头上倒了膏油，又受了圣职，得以穿着圣衣，就不可披头散发，也不可撕裂衣服。

因为是你作了这事，我就静默不开口。

先见必抱愧，得默示的人要蒙羞；他们都必掩着上唇，因为没有神的答覆。

你要在耶和华面前静默无声，耐心地等候他；不要因那凡事顺利的，和那恶谋得逞的，心怀不平。

“身上患有痲风病的人，要撕裂自己的衣服，披头散发，遮盖上唇喊叫：‘不洁净！不洁净！’

“他们都必死于致命的疫症，没有人为他们哀哭，他们的尸体也没有人埋葬，必在地面上成为粪肥。他们必被刀剑和饥荒所灭，他们的尸体成了空中飞鸟和地上走兽的食物。”耶和华这样说：“你不可进入丧家，也不可去为他们哀哭悲伤；因为我已经从这人民身上收回我的平安、慈爱和怜悯。”这是耶和华的宣告。“尊大的和卑微的都必死在这地；没有人埋葬他们，没有人为他们哀哭，也没有人为他们割伤自己，剃光头发。没有人为哀悼的人擘饼，为死者安慰他们；丧父或丧母的人，都没有人给他们喝一杯安慰酒。

“到那日，圣殿的歌声必变为哀号；尸首众多，抛弃各处；你们要肃静。”这是主耶和华的宣告。

那时你们要照着我所行的去行；你们不可蒙着脸，也不可吃为丧家预备的食物。你们的头上仍要缠着头巾，脚上仍要穿着鞋子；你们不可悲哀，不可哭泣；但你们必因自己的罪孽相对叹息，衰弱而死。

你们要住手，要知道我是神；我要在列国中被尊崇，我要在全地上被尊崇。

然而耶和华在他的圣殿里，全地当在他面前肃静。
