“人子啊，我要突然夺去你心爱的人，你不可悲伤，也不可流泪哭泣。

“人子啊！我要打击你，把你眼中所喜爱的夺去，你却不可悲哀，不可哭泣，也不可流泪。

「人子啊，我要將你眼目所喜愛的忽然取去，你卻不可悲哀哭泣，也不可流淚，

「人子啊，我要突然奪去你心愛的人，你不可悲傷，也不可流淚哭泣。

“人子啊！我要打擊你，把你眼中所喜愛的奪去，你卻不可悲哀，不可哭泣，也不可流淚。

『人子啊，你看吧，我要用暴卒病將你眼目所喜愛的取去；你卻不可號咷哭泣，也不可流淚。

人子歟、爾目所慕者、我必猝然去之、爾勿悲、勿哭、勿下淚、

人子、我必使爾所愛之妻、忽焉而亡、爾勿哀哭、勿下淚、

人子、我必使爾目之所悅者、忽染疫癘而死、爾勿悲哀、勿號哭、勿下淚、

“ Son of man, with one blow I am about to take away from you the delight of your eyes. Yet do not lament or weep or shed any tears.

“ Son of man, I will take away from you the wife you delight in. It will happen very soon. But do not sing songs of sadness. Do not let any tears flow from your eyes.

“ Son of man, behold, I am about to take the delight of your eyes away from you at a stroke; yet you shall not mourn or weep, nor shall your tears run down.

不要為已死的人哀哭，也不要為他悲傷，卻要為離家外出的人大大哀哭；因為他不再回來見自己的出生地。

你們若不聽這話，我的心必因你們的驕傲暗自哭泣；我的眼必痛哭流淚，因為耶和華的羊羣被擄去了。

到了早晨我把這事告訴百姓，晚上我的妻子就死了。次日早晨我就遵命而行。

我屬我的良人，他也戀慕我。

她如可愛的母鹿，如優美的母羊，願她的胸懷使你時時滿足，願你常常迷戀她的愛情。

有火從耶和華面前出來，把他們吞滅，他們就死在耶和華面前。於是，摩西對亞倫說：「這就是耶和華所吩咐的，說：『我在那親近我的人中要顯為聖；在全體百姓面前，我要得着榮耀。』」亞倫就默默不言。

「耶和華如此說：不要進入喪家，不要去哀哭，也不要為他們悲傷，因我已使我的平安、慈愛、憐憫離開這百姓。這是耶和華說的。

他們的心哀求主。錫安的城牆啊，願你日夜淚流如河，不讓自己休息，你眼中的瞳人也不歇息。

不可讓憤怒觸動你，使你破口謾罵；也不可因贖價大而偏行。

弟兄們，至於已睡了的人，我們不願意你們不知道，恐怕你們憂傷，像那些沒有指望的人一樣。

叫她們速速為我們舉哀，使我們淚眼汪汪，使我們的眼皮湧出淚水。

但願我的頭為水，我的眼為淚水的泉源，我好為我百姓中被殺的人晝夜哭泣。

『你告訴以色列家，主耶和華如此說：我要使我的聖所被褻瀆，就是你們憑勢力所誇耀、眼裏所喜愛、心中所愛惜的；並且你們所遺留的兒女必倒在刀下。那時，你們要照我所做的去做。你們不可摀着鬍鬚，也不可吃一般人的食物。你們頭要裹上頭巾，腳要穿上鞋；不可悲哀哭泣。你們必因自己的罪孽衰殘，相對嘆息。以西結必這樣成為你們的預兆；凡他所做的，你們也必照樣做。那事來到，你們就知道我是主耶和華。』」「你，人子啊，那日當我除掉他們所倚靠的保障、所歡喜的榮耀，並眼中所喜愛的，心裏所重看的兒女時，

所以，耶和華論到約西亞的兒子猶大王約雅敬如此說：人必不為他舉哀：「哀哉，我的哥哥！哀哉，我的姊姊！」也不為他舉哀：「哀哉，我的主！哀哉，我主的榮華！」
