Then set the empty pot on the coals till it becomes hot and its copper glows, so that its impurities may be melted and its deposit burned away.

主曰、我震怒斯邑、降禍不降福、必付於巴比倫王手、必以火焚燬、

萬有之主曰、其日將至、勢若爇爐、凡驕傲者、作惡者、有如草芥、其日盡燬、根本枝條、無所存留、

迦勒底人、以火焚王宮及民室、毀耶路撒冷城垣、

其手執箕、簸其禾場之麥、斂麥入倉、而焚糠以不滅之火、○

攻邑之迦勒底人、必來以火焚斯邑、斯邑之民、曾在屋頂、焚香於巴力、奠酒於他神、干我震怒、故此屋俱必焚燬、

當是日必有泉源、為大衛家及耶路撒冷居民而開、或作當是日必為大衛家與耶路撒冷居民湧出一泉得以滌罪去污、萬有之主曰、當是日我必絕偶像之名於斯地、使人不復記憶、偽先知及諸污穢之鬼魔、鬼魔或作神亦必除於斯地、

敵又褫爾衣裳、攘爾華飾、如是我必除爾邪慝、除爾自伊及之淫行、使爾不復戀慕彼眾、彼眾即亞述人與巴比倫人不復憶伊及、

若有人以金銀寶石、草木禾稿、建於此基上、各人之工必顯、彼日必彰之、蓋以火而顯、火必試各人之工如何、

攻爾之迦勒底人、假使爾擊其全軍、其中惟遺受傷之人、亦各於幕中起、以火焚燬斯邑、○

凡悖逆我、獲罪於我者、我必除於爾中、使出所旅之異邦、亦不得入以色列地、其時爾則知我乃主、

如爾不出邑見巴比倫王之將帥、斯邑必付於迦勒底人之手、必焚之以火、爾亦不能脫於其手、

眾必擊之以石、戮之以刃、殺其子女、以火焚其宅第、如是我於斯地除諸邪淫、使眾婦受警戒、不效爾曹行淫、

故雅各之愆尤、以此得蒙赦免、斯災所結之果、即除其罪惡、因其毀祭壇之石、使如已碎之灰石、而亞舍拉亞舍拉或作木偶與日像不復立焉、

蓋主震怒、嚴行審鞫、加以除滅、洗滌郇女之污、除淨耶路撒冷民殺人流血之罪、

以火焚主殿與王宮、及耶路撒冷之一切屋宇、並諸大宅、諸大宅或作諸顯者之室

滅爾國之邑、拆爾諸鞏固之城、諸鞏固之城或作一切保障去爾中之巫術、不復有為爾占卜者、於爾國中、除爾雕刻之偶像、石柱、使爾不復拜己手所作者、於爾中、拔爾諸亞舍拉、亞舍拉或作木偶並毀爾城邑、

主曰、於斯全地、三分之二必滅絕死亡、三分之一猶可生存、我將使三分之一、若投於火中、若投於火中或作如由火中而經鍊之如銀、試之如金、彼籲我名、我必應允、我必曰、彼乃我民、彼必曰、耶和華乃我之天主、
