我必使這地不再有淫行，所有的婦女都受警戒，不再效法你們的淫行。

這樣，我便制止了這地方的淫亂，所有的婦女都引以為戒，不敢效法她們。

這樣，我必使淫蕩從這地止息，好叫所有的婦人都受到警戒，不敢照著你們的淫蕩而行。

這樣、我就使淫蕩從這境內止息，好使一切婦人都受警告不敢效法你們的淫蕩而行。

如是、必止淫行於斯土、以訓眾女、不效爾之行淫、

使斯土之人不染淫風、俾眾女不效爾尤、

如是我於斯地除諸邪淫、使眾婦受警戒、不效爾曹行淫、

“ So I will put an end to lewdness in the land, that all women may take warning and not imitate you.

“ So I will put an end to impurity in the land. Then all its women will be warned. They will not want to be like the sisters.

Thus will I put an end to lewdness in the land, that all women may take warning and not commit lewdness as you have done.

In this way, I will put an end to lewdness and idolatry in the land, and my judgment will be a warning to all women not to follow your wicked example.

So I will put an end to depravity in the land, and all the women will be admonished not to imitate your depraved behavior.

So I will eliminate outrageous conduct from the land, so that all women will take warning and not commit outrageous sin as you have done.

Thus I will cause lewdness to cease from the land, that all women may be taught not to practice your lewdness.

Thus will I cause lewdness to cease out of the land, that all women may be taught not to do after your lewdness.

So I will put an end to indecency in the land, and all the women will be admonished not to imitate your indecent behavior.

Thus will I cause lewdness to cease out of the land, that all women may be taught not to do after your lewdness.

I will put an end to the obscene conduct in the land; all the women will learn a lesson from this and not engage in obscene conduct.

They will burn your houses with fire, and execute judgments on you in the sight of many women. I will cause you to cease from playing the prostitute, and you will also give no hire any more.

So it will be a reproach and a taunt, an instruction and an astonishment, to the nations that are around you, when I execute judgments on you in anger and in wrath, and in wrathful rebukes— I, Yahweh, have spoken it—

With my soul I have desired you in the night. Yes, with my spirit within me I will seek you earnestly; for when your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world learn righteousness.

I will sweep away man and animal. I will sweep away the birds of the sky, the fish of the sea, and the heaps of rubble with the wicked. I will cut off man from the surface of the earth, says Yahweh.

Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.Don’t be idolaters, as some of them were. As it is written,“ The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.”Let’s not commit sexual immorality, as some of them committed, and in one day twenty- three thousand fell.Let’s not test Christ, as some of them tested, and perished by the serpents.Don’t grumble, as some of them also grumbled, and perished by the destroyer.Now all these things happened to them by way of example, and they were written for our admonition, on whom the ends of the ages have come.

I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. I will cleanse you from all your filthiness, and from all your idols.

In all your dwelling places, the cities will be laid waste and the high places will be desolate; that your altars may be laid waste and made desolate, and your idols may be broken and cease, and your incense altars may be cut down, and your works may be abolished.

I will scatter you among the nations, and disperse you through the countries. I will consume your filthiness out of you.

I will cut off the cities of your land, and will tear down all your strongholds.I will destroy witchcraft from your hand; and you shall have no soothsayers.I will cut off your engraved images and your pillars out from among you; and you shall no more worship the work of your hands.I will uproot your Asherah poles out from among you; and I will destroy your cities.

All Israel shall hear, and fear, and shall not do any more wickedness like this among you.
