“你們要攻擊米拉大翁的地，上去攻擊她，又攻擊比割的居民，屠殺他們，把他們徹底消滅，照著我吩咐你們的一切執行。”這是耶和華的宣告。

後來，以賽亞先知來到希西家王那裡，對他說：“這些人說了些甚麼？他們是從哪裡來見你的呢？”希西家說：“他們是從遙遠的巴比倫來見我的。”以賽亞說：“他們在你宮中看到了甚麼呢？”希西家說：“我宮中的一切，他們都看見了。在我寶庫內的，我沒有一樣不給他們看的。”以賽亞對希西家說：“你要聽耶和華的話：‘看哪，日子快到，那時你宮中的一切和你的祖先所積存直到今日的一切，都要被掠到巴比倫去，沒有一樣留下。’這是耶和華說的。

耶和華差派迦勒底的軍隊、亞蘭的軍隊、摩押的軍隊和亞捫人的軍隊攻打他，他差他們攻擊猶大，毀滅它，就像耶和華藉著他的僕人眾先知預言的話。

看哪！使推羅成為曠野，走獸居住之處的，是來自迦勒底地的人，而不是亞述人；他們要築起攻城的高塔，拆毀推羅的城堡，使它成為廢墟。

第三道河名叫底格里斯河﹙“底格里斯河”原文作“希底結”﹚，就是流向亞述東邊的。第四道河就是幼發拉底河﹙“幼發拉底河”原文作“伯拉河”﹚。

她貪戀亞述人，就是作總督和省長，穿著華美衣服的戰士，騎著馬的騎兵，全都是英俊的年輕人。

他的子孫住在哈腓拉直到埃及東面的書珥，通往亞述的道上。以實瑪利卻住在自己眾兄弟的東面。

他就離開迦勒底人的地方，住在哈蘭。他父親死後，神又叫他從那裡遷到你們現在所住的地方。

西底家作王第九年十月十日，巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒率領他的全軍來攻打耶路撒冷；他們在城外安營，又在四圍築壘攻城。於是，城被圍困，直到西底家王第十一年。四月九日，城裡饑荒非常嚴重，甚至那地的人民都斷了糧食。

“人子啊！至於你，你要定出兩條路，給巴比倫王的刀前來；這兩條路都從同一個地方出來；你要在通往城去的路口上做一個路標。你要定出一條路，使刀臨到亞捫的拉巴，又要定出另一條路，使刀臨到猶大，攻擊堅固城耶路撒冷。因為巴比倫王站在分叉路口，在兩條路口上占卜、搖籤、求問神像，察看動物的肝。他右手中拿著耶路撒冷的籤，要在那裡架起攻城鎚，下令屠殺，揚聲吶喊；架起攻城鎚，攻打城門；築起土壘，建造圍城的高牆。在那些曾經向巴比倫起誓效忠的猶大人看來，這是虛假的占卜，但巴比倫王要使他們想起自己的罪孽，把他們擄去。因此，主耶和華這樣說：‘你們的過犯顯露，你們的罪在你們的一切行為上給人看見；以致你們的罪孽被想起。你們既被想起，就要被人用手擄去。你這該死、邪惡的以色列王啊！你的日子到了，最後懲罰的時刻到了。’主耶和華這樣說：‘你當除去頭巾，脫下冠冕！現在情形不同了，卑微的要升高，位高的要降卑！傾覆，傾覆，我要傾覆這國，這國不再存在，直等到那統治的人來到，我就把國賜給他。’
