Slanderous men have been among you for the purpose of shedding blood, and among you they have eaten at the mountain shrines. In your midst they have committed outrageous sin.

在你中间有谗谤人、流人血的；有在山上吃过祭偶像之物的，有行淫乱的。

你那里有为流人血而毁谤人的，你那里有在山上吃祭物的，在你当中也有行淫乱的，

在你这城中，有人好诽谤、杀人流血，有人在山上吃祭物，有人淫乱，

在你里面有好谗谤的人，他们要流人的血；在你的山上吃祭肉；又在你中间行淫乱的事。

在你中間有讒謗人、流人血的；有在山上吃過祭偶像之物的，有行淫亂的。

你那裏有為流人血而毀謗人的，你那裏有在山上吃祭物的，在你當中也有行淫亂的，

你那裏有為流人血而毀謗人的，你那裏有在山上吃祭物的，在你當中也有行淫亂的，

在你這城中，有人好誹謗、殺人流血，有人在山上吃祭物，有人淫亂，

在你裡面有好讒謗的人，他們要流人的血；在你的山上吃祭肉；又在你中間行淫亂的事。

在你裏面有搬弄是非的人以流人血的；在你裏面有在山上喫祭偶像之物的；在你中間有行罪大惡極之事的。

爾中有毀謗者、流人之血、有人食於山、行淫亂、

揚虛誕以殺人、食岡巒之祭品、行諸淫亂、

爾中有人行讒毀為殺人流血、爾中有人食於山上獻偶像之祭物、爾中有人行諸邪淫、

In you are slanderers who are bent on shedding blood; in you are those who eat at the mountain shrines and commit lewd acts.

You have spread lies about others so you can spill someone’s blood. You eat at the mountain temples. You commit impure acts.

There are men in you who slander to shed blood, and people in you who eat on the mountains; they commit lewdness in your midst.

People accuse others falsely and send them to their death. You are filled with idol worshipers and people who do obscene things.

There are men within you who slander in order to shed blood. People who live in you eat at the mountain shrines; they commit depraved acts within you.

In you are men who slander to cause bloodshed; in you are those who eat on the mountains; in your midst they commit lewdness.

Slanderous men have been in thee to shed blood; and in thee they have eaten upon the mountains: in the midst of thee they have committed lewdness.

There are men within you who slander in order to shed blood. People who live in you eat at the mountain shrines; they commit immoral acts within you.

In thee are men that carry tales to shed blood: and in thee they eat upon the mountains: in the midst of thee they commit lewdness.

Slanderous men shed blood within you. Those who live within you eat pagan sacrifices on the mountains; they commit obscene acts among you.

Slanderous men have been in you to shed blood. In you they have eaten on the mountains. They have committed lewdness among you.

I will not punish your daughters when they play the prostitute, Or your brides when they commit adultery, Because the men themselves slip away with the prostitutes And offer sacrifices with temple prostitutes; So the people without understanding are ruined.

They will eat, but not have enough; They will play the prostitute, but not increase, Because they gave up devoting themselves to the Lord.

You shall not go about as a slanderer among your people; and you are not to jeopardize the life of your neighbor. I am the Lord.

Since you have not remembered the days of your youth but have caused Me unrest by all these things, behold, I in turn will bring your conduct down on your own head,” declares the Lord God,“ so that you will not commit this outrageous sin in addition to all your other abominations.

( though he himself did not do any of these things), that is, he even eats at the mountain shrines, and defiles his neighbor’s wife,

if he does not eat at the mountain shrines or raise his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, or defile his neighbor’s wife or approach a woman during her menstrual period—

There is oath taking, denial, murder, stealing, and adultery. They employ violence, so that bloodshed follows bloodshed.

All of them are stubbornly rebellious, Going about as a slanderer; They are bronze and iron. They are, all of them, corrupt.

For we have found this man a public menace and one who stirs up dissensions among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes.

They also followed Baal peor, And ate sacrifices offered to the dead.

“ Let everyone be on guard against his neighbor, And do not trust any brother; Because every brother utterly betrays, And every neighbor goes about as a slanderer.

In your filthiness is outrageous sin. Because I would have cleansed you, Yet you are not clean, You will not be cleansed from your filthiness again Until I have expended My wrath on you.

And as a band of robbers lie in wait for a person, So a band of priests murder on the way to Shechem; Certainly they have committed an act of infamy.

“ You shall not give a false report; do not join your hand with a wicked person to be a malicious witness.

Then the officials said to the king,“ Please have this man put to death, since he is discouraging the men of war who are left in this city and all the people, by speaking words like these to them; for this man is not seeking the well being of this people, but rather their harm.”And King Zedekiah said,“ Behold, he is in your hands; for the king can do nothing against you.”So they took Jeremiah and threw him into the cistern of Malchijah the king’s son, which was in the courtyard of the guardhouse; and they let Jeremiah down with ropes. Now in the cistern there was no water but only mud, and Jeremiah sank into the mud.

“ You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.

They are all adulterers, Like an oven heated by the baker, Who stops stoking the fire From the time the dough is kneaded until it is leavened.

And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying,“ Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers and sisters has been thrown down, the one who accuses them before our God day and night.

Nor can they prove to you the things of which they now accuse me.

He does not eat at the mountain shrines or raise his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel; he has not defiled his neighbor’s wife,

The words of a gossiper are like dainty morsels, And they go down into the innermost parts of the body.

While he was at the Gate of Benjamin, a captain of the guard whose name was Irijah, the son of Shelemiah the son of Hananiah was there; and he arrested Jeremiah the prophet, saying,“ You are deserting to the Chaldeans!”But Jeremiah said,“ A lie! I am not deserting to the Chaldeans”; yet he would not listen to him. So Irijah arrested Jeremiah and brought him to the officials.Then the officials were angry at Jeremiah and they beat him, and put him in prison in the house of Jonathan the scribe, for they had made it into the prison.

Then they secretly induced men to say,“ We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses and God.”And they stirred up the people, the elders, and the scribes, and they came up to him and dragged him away, and brought him before the Council.They put forward false witnesses who said,“ This man does not stop speaking against this holy place and the Law;

Look at the people of Israel; are those who eat the sacrifices not partners in the altar?What do I mean then? That food sacrificed to idols is anything, or that an idol is anything?No, but I say that things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons and not to God; and I do not want you to become partners with demons.You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the table of the Lord and the table of demons.

The words of a gossiper are like dainty morsels, And they go down into the innermost parts of the body.

One who conceals hatred has lying lips, And one who spreads slander is a fool.

Now the chief priests and the entire Council kept trying to obtain false testimony against Jesus, so that they might put Him to death.

Whoever secretly slanders his neighbor, him I will destroy; I will not endure one who has a haughty look and an arrogant heart.

and seat two worthless men opposite him, and have them testify against him, saying,‘ You cursed God and the king.’ Then take him out and stone him to death.”So the men of his city, the elders and the nobles who lived in his city, did just as Jezebel had sent word to them, just as it was written in the letters which she had sent them.They proclaimed a fast, and seated Naboth at the head of the people.Then the two worthless men came in and sat opposite him; and the worthless men testified against him, against Naboth, before the people, saying,“ Naboth cursed God and the king.” So they took him outside the city and stoned him to death with stones.

And I took hold of my concubine and cut her in pieces, and sent her throughout the land of Israel’s inheritance; for they have committed an outrageous sin and vile act in Israel.

You sit and speak against your brother; You slander your own mother’s son.
