爾當言、主耶和華曰、斯邑之民、殺人無度、作諸偶像、污衊其身、今降災之日已至矣。

爾當言、主天主如是云、斯邑中殺人流血、作偶像染污穢、受報之日至矣、

and say:‘ This is what the Sovereign Lord says: You city that brings on herself doom by shedding blood in her midst and defiles herself by making idols,

Tell them,‘ The Lord and King says,“ Your city brings death on itself. You spill blood inside its walls. You make yourselves‘ unclean’ by making statues of gods.

You shall say, Thus says the Lord God: A city that sheds blood in her midst, so that her time may come, and that makes idols to defile herself!

and give her this message from the Sovereign Lord: O city of murderers, doomed and damned— city of idols, filthy and foul—

You are to say,‘ This is what the Lord GOD says: A city that sheds blood within her walls so that her time of judgment has come and who makes idols for herself so that she is defiled!

And you shall say,‘ This is what the Lord God says:“ A city shedding blood in her midst, so that her time is coming; and a city that makes idols, contrary to her own good, for defilement!

Then say,‘ Thus says the Lord GOD:“ The city sheds blood in her own midst, that her time may come; and she makes idols within herself to defile herself.

And thou shalt say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: A city that sheddeth blood in the midst of her, that her time may come, and that maketh idols against herself to defile her!

You are to say: This is what the Lord God says: A city that sheds blood within her walls so that her time of judgment has come and who makes idols for herself so that she is defiled!

Then say thou, Thus saith the Lord GOD, The city sheddeth blood in the midst of it, that her time may come, and maketh idols against herself to defile herself.

Then say,‘ This is what the sovereign LORD says: O city, who spills blood within herself( which brings on her doom), and who makes herself idols( which results in impurity),

You shall say,‘ The Lord Yahweh says:“ A city that sheds blood within herself, that her time may come, and that makes idols against herself to defile her!

Her officials within her are like wolves tearing their prey; they shed blood and kill people to make unjust gain. (niv)

In their greed these teachers will exploit you with fabricated stories. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping. (niv)

But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed. (niv)

But righteous judges will sentence them to the punishment of women who commit adultery and shed blood, because they are adulterous and blood is on their hands. (niv)

But I the Lord will speak what I will, and it shall be fulfilled without delay. For in your days, you rebellious people, I will fulfill whatever I say, declares the Sovereign Lord.’” (niv)

you have become guilty because of the blood you have shed and have become defiled by the idols you have made. You have brought your days to a close, and the end of your years has come. Therefore I will make you an object of scorn to the nations and a laughingstock to all the countries. (niv)

He bowed down to all the starry hosts and worshiped them.He built altars in the temple of the Lord, of which the Lord had said,“ In Jerusalem I will put my Name.”In the two courts of the temple of the Lord, he built altars to all the starry hosts.He sacrificed his own son in the fire, practiced divination, sought omens, and consulted mediums and spiritists. He did much evil in the eyes of the Lord, arousing his anger.He took the carved Asherah pole he had made and put it in the temple, of which the Lord had said to David and to his son Solomon,“ In this temple and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I will put my Name forever.I will not again make the feet of the Israelites wander from the land I gave their ancestors, if only they will be careful to do everything I commanded them and will keep the whole Law that my servant Moses gave them.”But the people did not listen. Manasseh led them astray, so that they did more evil than the nations the Lord had destroyed before the Israelites. (niv)

“ Son of man, this is what the Sovereign Lord says to the land of Israel:“‘ The end! The end has come upon the four corners of the land!The end is now upon you, and I will unleash my anger against you. I will judge you according to your conduct and repay you for all your detestable practices.I will not look on you with pity; I will not spare you. I will surely repay you for your conduct and for the detestable practices among you.“‘ Then you will know that I am the Lord.’“ This is what the Sovereign Lord says:“‘ Disaster! Unheard- of disaster! See, it comes!The end has come! The end has come! It has roused itself against you. See, it comes!Doom has come upon you, upon you who dwell in the land. The time has come! The day is near! There is panic, not joy, on the mountains.I am about to pour out my wrath on you and spend my anger against you. I will judge you according to your conduct and repay you for all your detestable practices.I will not look on you with pity; I will not spare you. I will repay you for your conduct and for the detestable practices among you.“‘ Then you will know that it is I the Lord who strikes you.“‘ See, the day! See, it comes! Doom has burst forth, the rod has budded, arrogance has blossomed!Violence has arisen, a rod to punish the wicked. None of the people will be left, none of that crowd— none of their wealth, nothing of value.The time has come! The day has arrived! Let not the buyer rejoice nor the seller grieve, for my wrath is on the whole crowd. (niv)

Her officials within her are roaring lions; her rulers are evening wolves, who leave nothing for the morning. (niv)
