Her prophets whitewash these deeds for them by false visions and lying divinations. They say,‘ This is what the Sovereign Lord says’— when the Lord has not spoken.

The prophets cover up these acts for them. The visions of these prophets are false. They use magic to try to find out what is going to happen. But their magic tricks are lies. They say,‘ The Lord and King says.’ But I have not spoken to them.

蓋彼誘惑我民、謂曰平康、實無平康、人築垣墉、彼以不堅之泥塗之、爾當告塗者云、垣必傾圮、霪雨下、巨雹降、飄風裂之、垣既傾圮、人不語爾云、爾所塗之泥安在乎、故主耶和華曰、我必震怒以飄風裂之、發忿以霪雨巨雹毀之、如是、爾以不堅之泥所塗之垣、我必毀之、傾之於地、露其基址、傾時、爾亦亡於其中、則知我乃耶和華、我洩我忿於垣、及以不堅之泥而塗之者、告爾曰、垣與塗者、俱歸烏有、此即以色列之先知、彼指耶路撒冷預言、為之得平康之啟示、實無平康、主耶和華言之矣、○

惟彼先知、妄託我名宣預言曰、我得夢矣、我得夢矣、彼所言者、予聞之矣、惟彼先知、徇己心之詐而預言、其存此心、伊於胡底、彼互述所夢、欲使我民忘乎我名、若厥祖因巴力而忘我名然、耶和華曰、先知有夢、任其述之、有我之言、則實道之、糠與麥何與乎、耶和華曰、我言豈非若火、又若摧石之鎚乎、耶和華曰、凡先知互竊我言者、我必攻之、耶和華曰、凡先知信口曰、彼言之矣、我必攻之、耶和華曰、凡宣虛妄之夢、以為預言、且以誑言詡語惑我民者、我必攻之、我未遣之、亦未命之、彼不裨益斯民也、○

其先知輕佻詭詐、其祭司污玷聖所、干犯法律、
