“人子啊，你要对这地说：你是未得洁净之地，在恼恨的日子也没有雨下在你以上。

“ Son of man, say to the land,‘ You are a land that has not been cleansed or rained on in the day of wrath.’

“ Son of man, speak to the land. Tell it,‘ You have not been washed clean with rain. That’s because I am angry with you.’

“ Son of man, say to her, You are a land that is not cleansed or rained upon in the day of indignation.

“ Son of man, give the people of Israel this message: In the day of my indignation, you will be like a polluted land, a land without rain.

这百姓还没有归向击打他们的主，也没有寻求万军之耶和华。

她不听从命令，不领受训诲，不倚靠耶和华，不亲近她的神。

我责打你们的儿女是徒然的，他们不受惩治。你们自己的刀吞灭你们的先知，好像残害的狮子。

这亚哈斯王在急难的时候，越发得罪耶和华。

风箱吹火，铅被烧毁；他们炼而又炼，终是徒然；因为恶劣的还未除掉。

众祭司长和百姓也大大犯罪，效法外邦人一切可憎的事，污秽耶和华在耶路撒冷分别为圣的殿。耶和华他们列祖的神因为爱惜自己的民和他的居所，从早起来差遣使者去警戒他们。他们却嘻笑神的使者，藐视他的言语，讥诮他的先知，以致耶和华的忿怒向他的百姓发作，无法可救。

耶和华啊，你的眼目不是看顾诚实吗？你击打他们，他们却不伤恸；你毁灭他们，他们仍不受惩治。他们使脸刚硬过于磐石，不肯回头。

在你污秽中有淫行，我洁净你，你却不洁净。你的污秽再不能洁净，直等我向你发的忿怒止息。

你们为什么屡次悖逆，还要受责打吗？你们已经满头疼痛，全心发昏。

“论到你奉耶和华的名向我们所说的话，我们必不听从。我们定要成就我们口中所出的一切话，向天后烧香、浇奠祭，按着我们与我们列祖、君王、首领在犹大的城邑中和耶路撒冷的街市上素常所行的一样；因为那时我们吃饱饭、享福乐，并不见灾祸。自从我们停止向天后烧香、浇奠祭，我们倒缺乏一切，又因刀剑饥荒灭绝。”妇女说：“我们向天后烧香、浇奠祭，做天后像的饼供奉她，向她浇奠祭，是外乎我们的丈夫吗？”
