As silver, copper, iron, lead and tin are gathered into a furnace to be melted with a fiery blast, so will I gather you in my anger and my wrath and put you inside the city and melt you.

At that time it will be said to this people and to Jerusalem,“ A scorching wind from the bare heights in the wilderness, in the direction of the daughter of My people— not to winnow and not to cleanse,a wind too strong for this— will come at My command; now I will also pronounce judgments against them.”

And I will gather you and blow on you with the fire of My wrath, and you will be melted in the midst of it.

Behold, I Myself have created the smith who blows on the fire of coals And produces a weapon for its work; And I have created the destroyer to inflict ruin.

I will pour out My indignation on you; I will blow on you with the fire of My wrath, and I will hand you over to brutal men, craftsmen of destruction.You will be fuel for the fire; your blood will be in the midst of the land. You will not be remembered, for I, the Lord, have spoken.’ ”
