『人子啊，你要傳神言說：主這麼說：你要說：有刀，有刀，又磨快，又擦亮；

“人子啊，你要预言。耶和华吩咐我如此说：有刀、有刀，是磨快擦亮的；

“人子啊，你要预言说，耶和华如此吩咐，你要说：有刀，刀已磨快，又擦亮了；

“人子啊，你要预言说，耶和华如此吩咐，你要说：有刀，刀已磨快，又擦亮了；

“人子啊，你要说预言，告诉他们，耶和华这样说，“‘有一把刀，有一把刀磨快擦亮了，

“人子啊！你要预言，说：‘主耶和华这样说：有一把刀，有一把磨利了的刀，是擦亮了的刀；

「人子啊，你要預言。耶和華吩咐我如此說：有刀、有刀，是磨快擦亮的；

「人子啊，你要預言說，耶和華如此吩咐，你要說：有刀，刀已磨快，又擦亮了；

「人子啊，你要預言說，耶和華如此吩咐，你要說：有刀，刀已磨快，又擦亮了；

「人子啊，你要說預言，告訴他們，耶和華這樣說，『有一把刀，有一把刀磨快擦亮了，

“人子啊！你要預言，說：‘主耶和華這樣說：有一把刀，有一把磨利了的刀，是擦亮了的刀；

人子歟、當預言曰、耶和華云、有刃有刃、既利且光、

人子、當傳我命曰、磨礪鋒刃、光芒四射。

人子、爾述預言曰、主如是云、當曰、有刃也、即磨利之刃、又已磨光焉、

“ Son of man, prophesy and say,‘ This is what the Lord says:“‘ A sword, a sword, sharpened and polished—

“ Son of man, prophesy and say,‘ Thus says the Lord!’ Say:‘ A sword, a sword is sharpened And also polished!

Son of man, prophesy, and say, Thus saith Jehovah: Say, A sword, a sword, it is sharpened, and also furbished;

“ Son of man, prophesy: This is what the Lord says! You are to proclaim: A sword! A sword is sharpened and also polished.

“ Son of man, prophesy and say:‘ This is what the Lord says:“‘ A sword, a sword is sharpened, and also polished.

“ Son of man, prophesy, and say,‘ Yahweh says:“ A sword! A sword! It is sharpened, and also polished.

對以色列地說：永恆主這麼說：看吧！我跟你為敵；我要拔刀出鞘，將義人和惡人都從你那裏剪除掉。

一抽，箭就從背後出來；閃亮閃亮由膽中而出，他身上來了一陣恐怖。

『人子啊，你要傳神言說：關於亞捫人和他們的辱罵、主永恆主是這麼說的：你要說：有刀劍，有拔出來的刀劍要屠殺，是已擦亮，要燦爛發光、像閃電的——

好使他們都膽戰心驚，許多人在他們各城裏都跌傷了。我已經把殺戮刀發出了；啊哈！這刀造得像閃電；磨得亮亮、以便屠殺。

我若磨快了我閃亮的刀，我的手若掌握着審判權，我就必將伸冤報復我的敵人，我必報應恨我的人。我必讓我的箭醉飲鮮血、就是被刺死者和俘虜的血；我的刀必喫肉，喫仇敵的長毛頭目。」

因為我的刀已喝足於天上了；看吧，這刀就要下到以東身上、到我所命定毁滅歸神的族民上，以施判罰了。永恆主有刀，漬滿了血，由脂肪而肥潤的，由小綿羊和公山羊的血，公綿羊腰子的脂肪而滋肥的因為永恆主在波斯拉有宰祭的事，在以東地有大屠殺。

在野地裏一切無草木的高處上有毁滅者來到；因為永恆主的刀從地這邊到地那邊進行着吞滅之事呢；凡有血肉的沒有一個得平安。

即使他們被仇敵擄去、流亡外國，就是從那裏、我也必吩咐刀劍去殺戮他們；我必拿眼瞪着他們，是要降禍，不是降福。』

他們若問你說：「我們要出去到哪裏呢？」你便對他們說：「永恆主這麼說：『那該遭疫癘的，就遭疫癘；該被刀殺的、就被刀殺；該受饑荒的，就受饑荒；該被擄的，就被擄。』」』

當那日子、永恆主必用他剛硬巨大有力的刀來察罰飛奔蛇鱷魚，察罰曲行蛇鱷魚，並殺那在海中的大獸。

上帝是公義的審判者，是天天向惡人發義怒的上帝。人若不回轉，上帝必將他的刀磨快，將他的弓拉緊，準備好好。他為惡人豫備了致死的器械，使他所射的、成為燒𤏲的箭。

因為永恆主必用火施審判，用刀向凡有血肉的行判罰；而永恆主刺死的人一定很多。
