「人子啊，你要說預言，告訴他們，耶和華這樣說，『有一把刀，有一把刀磨快擦亮了，

“人子啊，你要预言。耶和华吩咐我如此说：有刀、有刀，是磨快擦亮的；

“人子啊，你要预言说，耶和华如此吩咐，你要说：有刀，刀已磨快，又擦亮了；

“人子啊，你要预言说，耶和华如此吩咐，你要说：有刀，刀已磨快，又擦亮了；

“人子啊，你要说预言，告诉他们，耶和华这样说，“‘有一把刀，有一把刀磨快擦亮了，

“人子啊！你要预言，说：‘主耶和华这样说：有一把刀，有一把磨利了的刀，是擦亮了的刀；

「人子啊，你要預言。耶和華吩咐我如此說：有刀、有刀，是磨快擦亮的；

「人子啊，你要預言說，耶和華如此吩咐，你要說：有刀，刀已磨快，又擦亮了；

「人子啊，你要預言說，耶和華如此吩咐，你要說：有刀，刀已磨快，又擦亮了；

“人子啊！你要預言，說：‘主耶和華這樣說：有一把刀，有一把磨利了的刀，是擦亮了的刀；

『人子啊，你要傳神言說：主這麼說：你要說：有刀，有刀，又磨快，又擦亮；

人子歟、當預言曰、耶和華云、有刃有刃、既利且光、

人子、當傳我命曰、磨礪鋒刃、光芒四射。

人子、爾述預言曰、主如是云、當曰、有刃也、即磨利之刃、又已磨光焉、

“ Son of man, prophesy: This is what the Lord says! You are to proclaim: A sword! A sword is sharpened and also polished.

告訴以色列，耶和華這樣說，『我要與你為敵，我要拔刀將你那裡的義人和惡人一同消滅，

利箭穿透他的後背，閃亮的箭頭刺破他的膽囊，恐怖籠罩著他。

「人子啊，你要說有關亞捫人及其恥辱的預言，告訴他們，主耶和華說，『有刀，有刀已出鞘，為要殺戮；它亮如閃電，要行毀滅。

使他們嚇得肝膽俱裂，許多人倒在家門口。我已賜下這亮如閃電的刀，用來殺戮。

我要磨快閃亮的劍，主持公道，報應仇敵，懲罰恨我的人。我要使我的箭飽飲鮮血，被殺被擄之人的血；我的劍要吞噬人肉，敵人將領的肉。』

耶和華的刀劍在天上飽飲了血後，必降下來懲罰以東——祂決意要毀滅的民族。祂的刀沾滿了血和脂肪，如同羊羔、公山羊的血和公綿羊腎臟上的脂肪。因為耶和華要在波斯拉獻祭，在以東大行殺戮。

殺戮者已來到曠野中光禿的山嶺，耶和華使刀劍橫掃全境，無人倖免。

即使他們被敵人擄去，我也要命刀劍追殺他們。我要定睛在他們身上，不是要賜福而是要降禍。」

如果他們問你，『我們該去哪裡，』你就告訴他們，耶和華這樣說，『該死的死，該被殺的被殺，該遭饑荒的遭饑荒，該被擄的被擄。』

到那日，耶和華必用祂無堅不摧的利劍懲罰巨龍——那飛快、曲行的蛇。祂必殺死那海中的怪物。

上帝是公義的審判官，天天向惡人發怒。他們若不悔改，祂必磨刀霍霍，彎弓搭箭，誅滅他們。祂準備好了奪命的兵器，火箭已在弦上。

因為耶和華要用火和劍審判世人，殺死許多人。
