So He will be a priest on His throne, and the counsel of peace will be between the two offices.” ’

For there is a testing; and what if even the rod which despises will cease to be?” declares the Lord God.

For a Child will be born to us, a Son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.There will be no end to the increase of His government or of peace On the throne of David and over his kingdom, To establish it and to uphold it with justice and righteousness From then on and forevermore. The zeal of the Lord of armies will accomplish this.

“ On that day I will raise up the fallen shelter of David, And wall up its gaps; I will also raise up its ruins And rebuild it as in the days of old;So that they may possess the remnant of Edom And all the nations who are called by My name,” Declares the Lord who does this.

Their leader shall be one of them, And their ruler will come out from their midst; And I will bring him near and he shall approach Me; For who would dare to risk his life to approach Me?’ declares the Lord.

for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.

And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and He who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and wages war.His eyes are a flame of fire, and on His head are many crowns; and He has a name written on Him which no one knows except Himself.He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.And the armies which are in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, were following Him on white horses.From His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it He may strike down the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron; and He treads the wine press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty.And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written:“ KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.”

May the righteous flourish in his days, As well as an abundance of peace, until the moon is no more.May he also rule from sea to sea, And from the Euphrates River to the ends of the earth.May the nomads of the desert bow before him, And his enemies lick the dust.May the kings of Tarshish and of the islands bring gifts; May the kings of Sheba and Seba offer tributes.

For this reason also God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name,so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth,

then My covenant with David My servant may also be broken, so that he will not have a son to reign on his throne, and with the Levitical priests, My ministers.

And His voice shook the earth then, but now He has promised, saying,“ Yet once more I will shake not only the earth, but also the heaven.”This expression,“ Yet once more,” denotes the removing of those things which can be shaken, as of created things, so that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.

In those days and at that time I will make a righteous Branch of David sprout; and He shall execute justice and righteousness on the earth.In those days Judah will be saved and Jerusalem will live in safety; and this is the name by which it will be called: the Lord is our righteousness.’

“ Then I will appoint over them one shepherd, My servant David, and he will feed them; he will feed them himself and be their shepherd.

I will shake all the nations; and they will come with the wealth of all nations, and I will fill this house with glory,’ says the Lord of armies.
