我要在戰爭吶喊的日子，在旋風狂吹時，在拉巴城內放火，吞滅它的宮殿；

我必使拉巴成為牧放駱駝之地，使亞捫成為羊羣躺臥之處，你們就知道我是耶和華。

利乏音人所剩下的只有巴珊王噩。看哪，他的床是鐵床，按照人肘的度量，長九肘，寬四肘，現今不是在亞捫人的拉巴嗎？」

倚靠耶和華的人好像錫安山，安穩坐鎮，永不動搖。眾山怎樣圍繞耶路撒冷，耶和華也照樣圍繞他的百姓，從今時直到永遠。

你們當周遊錫安，四圍環繞，數點城樓，細看它的城郭，察看它的宮殿，為要傳揚給後代。

約押攻打亞捫人的拉巴，攻佔了京城。

你們數點耶路撒冷的房屋，拆毀房屋，用以修補城牆，

希西家奮勇自強，修築所有毀壞的城牆，升高城樓，又在城外築另一片城牆，堅固大衛城的米羅，製造許多兵器和盾牌。

此後，瑪拿西在大衛城外，從谷內基訓西邊直到魚門口，建築城牆，環繞俄斐勒；這牆建得很高。他又在猶大各堅固城內設立將領。

大衛住在堡壘裏，給它起名叫大衛城。大衛又從米羅往內，周圍建築。

烏西雅在耶路撒冷的角門和谷門，以及城牆轉角之處建築城樓，非常堅固。

地上的君王和世上的居民都不信敵人和仇敵竟能進入耶路撒冷的城門。
