“ Son of man, set your face against Jerusalem and preach against the sanctuary. Prophesy against the land of Israel

“ Son of man, turn and face Jerusalem and prophesy against Israel and her sanctuaries.

“ Son of man, face Jerusalem and preach against the sanctuaries. Prophesy against the land of Israel,

“ Son of man, set your face against Jerusalem, and speak prophetically against the sanctuaries and prophesy against the land of Israel;

“ Son of man, set your face toward Jerusalem, preach against the holy places, and prophesy against the land of Israel;

Son of man, set thy face toward Jerusalem, and drop thy word toward the sanctuaries, and prophesy against the land of Israel;

“ Son of man, turn your face toward Jerusalem and preach against the sanctuaries. Prophesy against the land of Israel,

“ Son of man, turn toward Jerusalem and speak out against the sanctuaries. Prophesy against the land of Israel

“ Son of man, set your face toward Jerusalem, and preach toward the sanctuaries, and prophesy against the land of Israel.

“ Son of man, turn your attention to Judah in the south. Preach against it. Prophesy against its forests.

Next, turn your face toward the model of Jerusalem under attack. Uncover your arm as if you were a soldier ready to fight. Prophesy against the city.

“ Son of man, turn your attention to the city of Sidon. Prophesy against it.

“ Son of man, turn your attention to the Ammonites. Prophesy against them.

Then get an iron pan. Put it between you and the city. Pretend it is an iron wall. Turn your face toward the city. It will be under attack when you begin to attack it. That will show the people of Israel what is going to happen to Jerusalem.

Pray also for me. Pray that whenever I speak, the right words will be given to me. Then I can be bold as I tell the mystery of the good news.

“ Son of man, prophesy to the mountains of Israel. Tell them,‘ Mountains of Israel, listen to the Lord’ s message.

Now then, listen to the Lord’ s message. You say,“‘ Don’t prophesy against Israel. Stop preaching against the people of Isaac.’

Then the priests and prophets spoke to the officials and all the people. They said,“ This man should be sentenced to death. He has prophesied against this city. You have heard it with your own ears!”Then Jeremiah spoke to all the officials and people. He said,“ The Lord sent me to prophesy against this house and this city. He told me to say everything you have heard.

They found witnesses who were willing to tell lies. These liars said,“ This fellow never stops speaking against this holy place. He also speaks against the law.We have heard him say that this Jesus of Nazareth will destroy this place. He says Jesus will change the practices that Moses handed down to us.”

“ Son of man, turn your attention to Pharaoh Hophra. He is king of Egypt. Prophesy against him and the whole land of Egypt.

“ Don’t prophesy,” the people’s prophets say.“ Don’t prophesy about bad things. Nothing shameful is going to happen to us.”

“ Son of man, turn your attention to the mountains of Israel. Prophesy against them.

“ Son of man, turn your attention to Gog. He is from the land of Magog. He is the chief prince of Meshek and Tubal. Prophesy against him.

Suppose a prophet goes around telling lies. And he prophesies that you will have plenty of wine and beer. Then that kind of prophet would be just right for this nation!

Let my teaching fall like rain. Let my words come down like dew. Let them be like raindrops on new grass. Let them be like rain on tender plants.
