“人子啊，你要拍掌预言，使这刀三番两次临到；这是致人死伤的刀，就是包围人，使人大受死伤的刀。

“人子啊，你要拍掌预言。我耶和华要使这刀，就是致死伤的刀，一连三次加倍刺人，进入他们的内屋，使大人受死伤的就是这刀。

“人子啊，你要拍掌预言，使这刀三番两次临到；这是致人死伤的刀，就是包围人，使人大受死伤的刀。

“人子啊，你要拍掌对他们说预言，你要拿刀挥舞两三次，预示这刀要从四面八方大肆杀戮，

“人子啊！至于你，你要拍手说预言，要接二连三地使用这杀人的刀，就是导致极大死伤的刀，把它们围困，

「人子啊，你要拍掌預言。我－耶和華要使這刀，就是致死傷的刀，一連三次加倍刺人，進入他們的內屋，使大人受死傷的就是這刀。

「人子啊，你要拍掌對他們說預言，你要拿刀揮舞兩三次，預示這刀要從四面八方大肆殺戮，

“人子啊！至於你，你要拍手說預言，要接二連三地使用這殺人的刀，就是導致極大死傷的刀，把它們圍困，

『因此人子啊，你要傳神言；拍掌講話：要再次再三地使這刀，就是刺人致死的刀，刺死大人物的刀，就是在他們四圍的，

人子歟、爾其預言而鼓掌、使刃再三行戮、此刃即重傷大人、入諸密室者、

惟爾人子、當鼓爾掌、言未來事、使刃三至、殺戮人民、入諸密室、誅滅大人。

惟爾人子、當鼓掌言未來事、言未來事或作述預言下同使刃至再至三、此刃殺戮多民、入其密室、誅滅大人、使刃至再至三此刃殺戮多民入其密室誅滅大人或作此刃必再三行殺戮此乃殺戮多人之刃此乃殺戮大人之刃必入其密室

“ So then, son of man, prophesy and strike your hands together. Let the sword strike twice, even three times. It is a sword for slaughter— a sword for great slaughter, closing in on them from every side.

“ Son of man, prophesy. Clap your hands. Let the sword strike twice. Let it strike even three times. It is a sword to kill people. It is a sword to kill many people. It is closing in on them from every side.

“ As for you, son of man, prophesy. Clap your hands and let the sword come down twice, yes, three times, the sword for those to be slain. It is the sword for the great slaughter, which surrounds them,

“ Son of man, prophesy to them and clap your hands. Then take the sword and brandish it twice, even three times, to symbolize the great massacre, the great massacre facing them on every side.

“ So you, son of man, prophesy and clap your hands together: Let the sword strike two times, even three. It is a sword for massacre, a sword for great massacre— it surrounds them!

“ You therefore, son of man, prophesy and clap your hands; and let the sword be doubled the third time, the sword for the slain. It is the sword for the great one slain, which surrounds them,

“ You therefore, son of man, prophesy, And strike your hands together. The third time let the sword do double damage. It is the sword that slays, The sword that slays the great men, That enters their private chambers.

Thou therefore, son of man, prophesy, and smite thy hands together; and let the sword be doubled the third time, the sword of the deadly wounded: it is the sword of the great one that is deadly wounded, which entereth into their chambers.

Therefore, son of man, prophesy and clap your hands together. Let the sword strike two times, even three. It is a sword for massacre, a sword for great massacre— it surrounds them!

巴勒向巴兰怒气发作，就紧握拳头。巴勒对巴兰说：“我召你来诅咒我的仇敌，看哪，你竟然这三次为他们祝福。

约雅敬的日子，巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒上来；约雅敬服事他三年，以后又背叛他。

那时，巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒的军兵上到耶路撒冷，城被围困。当他的军兵围困城的时候，巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒亲自来到耶路撒冷。犹大王约雅斤和他母亲、臣仆、王子、官员一同出来，向巴比伦王投降。巴比伦王俘掳了他，那时是巴比伦王第八年。巴比伦王把耶和华殿里和王宫里一切的宝物从那里拿走，又把以色列王所罗门所造耶和华殿里一切的金器都毁坏了，正如耶和华所说的。他把全耶路撒冷众领袖和所有大能的勇士，共一万人，连同所有的木匠和铁匠都掳了去，只留下这地最贫穷的百姓。他把约雅斤和他的母亲、后妃、官员，以及这地的贵族，都从耶路撒冷掳到巴比伦去了，又把所有的勇士七千人，木匠和铁匠一千人，全是能上阵的勇士，都掳到巴比伦去了。

“主耶和华如此说：你当击掌顿足，说：哀哉！以色列家做了这一切可憎的恶事，必仆倒在刀剑、饥荒、瘟疫之下。

我就要行事与你们作对，因你们的罪，加重七倍击打你们。

“你们行事若与我作对，不肯听从我，我就要因你们的罪，加重七倍灾祸击打你们。

米该雅说：“看哪，你进入严密的内室躲藏的那日，就必看见。”

我也要拍掌，使我的愤怒平息。这是我—耶和华说的。”

他对我说：“人子啊，你看见以色列家的长老，暗中在自己偶像的房间里所做的吗？因为他们说：‘耶和华看不见我们；耶和华已经离弃这地。’”

“虽然他们挖透阴间，我的手必从那里拉出他们；虽然他们爬到天上，我必从那里拿下他们；

当时，尼布甲尼撒怒气填胸，向沙得拉、米煞、亚伯尼歌变了脸色，命令把窑烧热，比平常热七倍；

西底家作王第九年十月初十，巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒率领全军前来攻击耶路撒冷，对城安营，四围筑堡垒攻城。城被围困，直到西底家王十一年。四月初九，城里的饥荒非常严重，当地的百姓都没有粮食。城被攻破，士兵全都在夜间从靠近王的花园、两城墙中间的门逃跑。迦勒底人正在四围攻城，王就往亚拉巴逃去。迦勒底的军队追赶王，在耶利哥的平原追上他；他的全军都离开他溃散了。迦勒底人就拿住王，带他到利比拉的巴比伦王那里；他们就判他的罪。他们在西底家眼前杀了他的儿女，挖了西底家的眼睛，用铜链锁着他，带到巴比伦去。

其余的都逃向亚弗，到了城里，城墙倒塌，压死了剩下的二万七千人。便‧哈达也逃入城内，藏在严密的内室里。
