“ You therefore, son of man, prophesy, And strike your hands together. The third time let the sword do double damage. It is the sword that slays, The sword that slays the great men, That enters their private chambers.

“人子啊，你要拍掌对他们说预言，你要拿刀挥舞两三次，预示这刀要从四面八方大肆杀戮，

“人子啊！至于你，你要拍手说预言，要接二连三地使用这杀人的刀，就是导致极大死伤的刀，把它们围困，

「人子啊，你要拍掌預言。我－耶和華要使這刀，就是致死傷的刀，一連三次加倍刺人，進入他們的內屋，使大人受死傷的就是這刀。

「人子啊，你要拍掌預言，使這刀三番兩次臨到；這是致人死傷的刀，就是包圍人，使人大受死傷的刀。

「人子啊，你要拍掌對他們說預言，你要拿刀揮舞兩三次，預示這刀要從四面八方大肆殺戮，

“人子啊！至於你，你要拍手說預言，要接二連三地使用這殺人的刀，就是導致極大死傷的刀，把它們圍困，

『因此人子啊，你要傳神言；拍掌講話：要再次再三地使這刀，就是刺人致死的刀，刺死大人物的刀，就是在他們四圍的，

人子歟、爾其預言而鼓掌、使刃再三行戮、此刃即重傷大人、入諸密室者、

惟爾人子、當鼓爾掌、言未來事、使刃三至、殺戮人民、入諸密室、誅滅大人。

惟爾人子、當鼓掌言未來事、言未來事或作述預言下同使刃至再至三、此刃殺戮多民、入其密室、誅滅大人、使刃至再至三此刃殺戮多民入其密室誅滅大人或作此刃必再三行殺戮此乃殺戮多人之刃此乃殺戮大人之刃必入其密室

“ So then, son of man, prophesy and strike your hands together. Let the sword strike twice, even three times. It is a sword for slaughter— a sword for great slaughter, closing in on them from every side.

“ Son of man, prophesy. Clap your hands. Let the sword strike twice. Let it strike even three times. It is a sword to kill people. It is a sword to kill many people. It is closing in on them from every side.

“ As for you, son of man, prophesy. Clap your hands and let the sword come down twice, yes, three times, the sword for those to be slain. It is the sword for the great slaughter, which surrounds them,

“ Son of man, prophesy to them and clap your hands. Then take the sword and brandish it twice, even three times, to symbolize the great massacre, the great massacre facing them on every side.

“ So you, son of man, prophesy and clap your hands together: Let the sword strike two times, even three. It is a sword for massacre, a sword for great massacre— it surrounds them!

“ You therefore, son of man, prophesy and clap your hands; and let the sword be doubled the third time, the sword for the slain. It is the sword for the great one slain, which surrounds them,

In his days Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up, and Jehoiakim became his vassal for three years. Then he turned and rebelled against him.

At that time the servants of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up against Jerusalem, and the city was besieged.And Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came against the city, as his servants were besieging it.Then Jehoiachin king of Judah, his mother, his servants, his princes, and his officers went out to the king of Babylon; and the king of Babylon, in the eighth year of his reign, took him prisoner.And he carried out from there all the treasures of the house of the Lord and the treasures of the king’s house, and he cut in pieces all the articles of gold which Solomon king of Israel had made in the temple of the Lord, as the Lord had said.Also he carried into captivity all Jerusalem: all the captains and all the mighty men of valor, ten thousand captives, and all the craftsmen and smiths. None remained except the poorest people of the land.And he carried Jehoiachin captive to Babylon. The king’s mother, the king’s wives, his officers, and the mighty of the land he carried into captivity from Jerusalem to Babylon.All the valiant men, seven thousand, and craftsmen and smiths, one thousand, all who were strong and fit for war, these the king of Babylon brought captive to Babylon.

‘ Thus says the Lord GOD:“ Pound your fists and stamp your feet, and say,‘ Alas, for all the evil abominations of the house of Israel! For they shall fall by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence.

then I also will walk contrary to you, and I will punish you yet seven times for your sins.

‘ Then, if you walk contrary to Me, and are not willing to obey Me, I will bring on you seven times more plagues, according to your sins.

And Micaiah said,“ Indeed, you shall see on that day when you go into an inner chamber to hide!”

“ I also will beat My fists together, And I will cause My fury to rest; I, the Lord, have spoken.”

Then He said to me,“ Son of man, have you seen what the elders of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in the room of his idols? For they say,‘ The Lord does not see us, the Lord has forsaken the land.’”

“ Though they dig into hell, From there my hand shall take them; Though they climb up to heaven, From there I will bring them down;

Then Nebuchadnezzar was full of fury, and the expression on his face changed toward Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego. He spoke and commanded that they heat the furnace seven times more than it was usually heated.

Now it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, on the tenth day of the month, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and all his army came against Jerusalem and encamped against it; and they built a siege wall against it all around.So the city was besieged until the eleventh year of King Zedekiah.By the ninth day of the fourth month the famine had become so severe in the city that there was no food for the people of the land.Then the city wall was broken through, and all the men of war fled at night by way of the gate between two walls, which was by the king’s garden, even though the Chaldeans were still encamped all around against the city. And the king went by way of the plain.But the army of the Chaldeans pursued the king, and they overtook him in the plains of Jericho. All his army was scattered from him.So they took the king and brought him up to the king of Babylon at Riblah, and they pronounced judgment on him.Then they killed the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes, put out the eyes of Zedekiah, bound him with bronze fetters, and took him to Babylon.

But the rest fled to Aphek, into the city; then a wall fell on twenty-seven thousand of the men who were left. And Ben-Hadad fled and went into the city, into an inner chamber.
