“ You therefore, son of man, prophesy and clap your hands; and let the sword be doubled the third time, the sword for the slain. It is the sword for the great one slain, which surrounds them,

“人子啊，你要拍掌预言。我耶和华要使这刀，就是致死伤的刀，一连三次加倍刺人，进入他们的内屋，使大人受死伤的就是这刀。

“人子啊，你要拍掌预言，使这刀三番两次临到；这是致人死伤的刀，就是包围人，使人大受死伤的刀。

“人子啊，你要拍掌对他们说预言，你要拿刀挥舞两三次，预示这刀要从四面八方大肆杀戮，

“人子啊！至于你，你要拍手说预言，要接二连三地使用这杀人的刀，就是导致极大死伤的刀，把它们围困，

「人子啊，你要拍掌預言。我－耶和華要使這刀，就是致死傷的刀，一連三次加倍刺人，進入他們的內屋，使大人受死傷的就是這刀。

「人子啊，你要拍掌對他們說預言，你要拿刀揮舞兩三次，預示這刀要從四面八方大肆殺戮，

“人子啊！至於你，你要拍手說預言，要接二連三地使用這殺人的刀，就是導致極大死傷的刀，把它們圍困，

『因此人子啊，你要傳神言；拍掌講話：要再次再三地使這刀，就是刺人致死的刀，刺死大人物的刀，就是在他們四圍的，

人子歟、爾其預言而鼓掌、使刃再三行戮、此刃即重傷大人、入諸密室者、

惟爾人子、當鼓爾掌、言未來事、使刃三至、殺戮人民、入諸密室、誅滅大人。

惟爾人子、當鼓掌言未來事、言未來事或作述預言下同使刃至再至三、此刃殺戮多民、入其密室、誅滅大人、使刃至再至三此刃殺戮多民入其密室誅滅大人或作此刃必再三行殺戮此乃殺戮多人之刃此乃殺戮大人之刃必入其密室

“ So then, son of man, prophesy and strike your hands together. Let the sword strike twice, even three times. It is a sword for slaughter— a sword for great slaughter, closing in on them from every side.

“ Son of man, prophesy. Clap your hands. Let the sword strike twice. Let it strike even three times. It is a sword to kill people. It is a sword to kill many people. It is closing in on them from every side.

“ As for you, son of man, prophesy. Clap your hands and let the sword come down twice, yes, three times, the sword for those to be slain. It is the sword for the great slaughter, which surrounds them,

“ Son of man, prophesy to them and clap your hands. Then take the sword and brandish it twice, even three times, to symbolize the great massacre, the great massacre facing them on every side.

“ So you, son of man, prophesy and clap your hands together: Let the sword strike two times, even three. It is a sword for massacre, a sword for great massacre— it surrounds them!

“ You therefore, son of man, prophesy, And strike your hands together. The third time let the sword do double damage. It is the sword that slays, The sword that slays the great men, That enters their private chambers.

Thou therefore, son of man, prophesy, and smite thy hands together; and let the sword be doubled the third time, the sword of the deadly wounded: it is the sword of the great one that is deadly wounded, which entereth into their chambers.

In his days Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up, and Jehoiakim became his servant for three years; then he turned and revolted against him.

At that time the servants of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon went up to Jerusalem, and the city came under siege.And Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon came to the city, while his servants were besieging it.Then Jehoiachin the king of Judah went out to the king of Babylon, he, his mother, his servants, his commanders, and his officials. And the king of Babylon took him prisoner in the eighth year of his reign.He also brought out from there all the treasures of the house of the Lord, and the treasures of the king’s house, and he smashed all the articles of gold that Solomon king of Israel had made in the temple of the Lord, just as the Lord had said.Then he led into exile all the people of Jerusalem and all the commanders and all the valiant warriors, ten thousand exiles, and all the craftsmen and the smiths. None were left except the poorest people of the land.So he led Jehoiachin into exile to Babylon; also the king’s mother, the king’s wives, and his officials and the leading men of the land, he led into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon.And all the valiant men, seven thousand, and the craftsmen and the smiths, a thousand, all strong and fit for war, these too the king of Babylon brought into exile to Babylon.

“ This is what the Lord God says:‘ Clap your hands, stamp your foot and say,“ Woe, because of all the evil abominations of the house of Israel, which will fall by the sword, famine, and plague!

then I in turn will show hostility toward you; and I, even I, will strike you seven times for your sins.

‘ Yet if you show hostility toward Me and are unwilling to obey Me, I will increase the plague on you seven times according to your sins.

And Micaiah said,“ Behold, you are going to see how on that day when you go from one inner room to another trying to hide yourself.”

I will also clap My hands, and I will satisfy My wrath; I, the Lord, have spoken.”

Then He said to me,“ Do you see, son of man, what the elders of the house of Israel are doing in the dark, each man in the rooms of his carved images? For they say,‘ The Lord does not see us; the Lord has abandoned the land.’ ”

Though they dig into Sheol, From there My hand will take them; And though they ascend to heaven, From there I will bring them down.

Then Nebuchadnezzar was filled with wrath, and his facial expression was changed toward Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed nego. He answered by giving orders to heat the furnace seven times more than it was usually heated.

Now in the ninth year of his reign, on the tenth day of the tenth month, Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon came, he and all his army, against Jerusalem, camped against it, and built a siege wall all around it.So the city was under siege until the eleventh year of King Zedekiah.On the ninth day of the fourth month the famine was so severe in the city that there was no food for the people of the land.Then the city was broken into, and all the men of war fled by night by way of the gate between the two walls that were beside the king’s garden, though the Chaldeans were all around the city. And they went by way of the Arabah.But the army of the Chaldeans pursued the king and overtook him in the plains of Jericho, and all his army was scattered from him.Then they captured the king and brought him up to the king of Babylon at Riblah, and he passed sentence on him.And they slaughtered the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes, then put out Zedekiah’s eyes and bound him with bronze shackles, and brought him to Babylon.

But the rest fled to Aphek into the city, and the wall fell on twenty seven thousand men who were left. And Ben hadad fled and came into the city, going from one inner room to another.
