“人子啊，你要拍掌预言。我耶和华要使这刀，就是致死伤的刀，一连三次加倍刺人，进入他们的内屋，使大人受死伤的就是这刀。

“人子啊！至于你，你要拍手说预言，要接二连三地使用这杀人的刀，就是导致极大死伤的刀，把它们围困，

“人子啊！至於你，你要拍手說預言，要接二連三地使用這殺人的刀，就是導致極大死傷的刀，把它們圍困，

『因此人子啊，你要傳神言；拍掌講話：要再次再三地使這刀，就是刺人致死的刀，刺死大人物的刀，就是在他們四圍的，

人子歟、爾其預言而鼓掌、使刃再三行戮、此刃即重傷大人、入諸密室者、

惟爾人子、當鼓爾掌、言未來事、使刃三至、殺戮人民、入諸密室、誅滅大人。

惟爾人子、當鼓掌言未來事、言未來事或作述預言下同使刃至再至三、此刃殺戮多民、入其密室、誅滅大人、使刃至再至三此刃殺戮多民入其密室誅滅大人或作此刃必再三行殺戮此乃殺戮多人之刃此乃殺戮大人之刃必入其密室

“ So then, son of man, prophesy and strike your hands together. Let the sword strike twice, even three times. It is a sword for slaughter— a sword for great slaughter, closing in on them from every side.

“ Son of man, prophesy. Clap your hands. Let the sword strike twice. Let it strike even three times. It is a sword to kill people. It is a sword to kill many people. It is closing in on them from every side.

“ As for you, son of man, prophesy. Clap your hands and let the sword come down twice, yes, three times, the sword for those to be slain. It is the sword for the great slaughter, which surrounds them,

“ Son of man, prophesy to them and clap your hands. Then take the sword and brandish it twice, even three times, to symbolize the great massacre, the great massacre facing them on every side.

“ So you, son of man, prophesy and clap your hands together: Let the sword strike two times, even three. It is a sword for massacre, a sword for great massacre— it surrounds them!

“ You therefore, son of man, prophesy and clap your hands; and let the sword be doubled the third time, the sword for the slain. It is the sword for the great one slain, which surrounds them,

“ You therefore, son of man, prophesy, And strike your hands together. The third time let the sword do double damage. It is the sword that slays, The sword that slays the great men, That enters their private chambers.

Thou therefore, son of man, prophesy, and smite thy hands together; and let the sword be doubled the third time, the sword of the deadly wounded: it is the sword of the great one that is deadly wounded, which entereth into their chambers.

Therefore, son of man, prophesy and clap your hands together. Let the sword strike two times, even three. It is a sword for massacre, a sword for great massacre— it surrounds them!

巴勒向巴兰生气，就拍起手来，对巴兰说：“我召你来为我咒诅仇敌，不料，你这三次竟为他们祝福。

约雅敬年间，巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒上到犹大；约雅敬服侍他三年，然后背叛他。

那时，巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒的军兵上到耶路撒冷，围困城。当他军兵围困城的时候，巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒就亲自来了。犹大王约雅斤和他母亲、臣仆、首领、太监一同出城，投降巴比伦王；巴比伦王便拿住他。那时是巴比伦王第八年。巴比伦王将耶和华殿和王宫里的宝物都拿去了，将以色列王所罗门所造耶和华殿里的金器都毁坏了，正如耶和华所说的；又将耶路撒冷的众民和众首领，并所有大能的勇士，共一万人，连一切木匠、铁匠都掳了去；除了国中极贫穷的人以外，没有剩下的；并将约雅斤和王母、后妃、太监，与国中的大官，都从耶路撒冷掳到巴比伦去了；又将一切勇士七千人和木匠、铁匠一千人，都是能上阵的勇士，全掳到巴比伦去了。

“主耶和华如此说：你当拍手顿足，说：哀哉！以色列家行这一切可憎的恶事，他们必倒在刀剑、饥荒、瘟疫之下。

我就要行事与你们反对，因你们的罪击打你们七次。

“你们行事若与我反对，不肯听从我，我就要按你们的罪加七倍降灾与你们。

米该雅说：“你进严密的屋子藏躲的那日，就必看见了。”

我也要拍掌，并要使我的忿怒止息。这是我耶和华说的。”

他对我说：“人子啊，以色列家的长老暗中在各人画像屋里所行的，你看见了吗？他们常说：‘耶和华看不见我们；耶和华已经离弃这地。’”

他们虽然挖透阴间，我的手必取出他们来；虽然爬上天去，我必拿下他们来；

当时，尼布甲尼撒怒气填胸，向沙得拉、米煞、亚伯尼歌变了脸色，吩咐人把窑烧热，比寻常更加七倍；

西底家背叛巴比伦王。他作王第九年十月初十日，巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒率领全军来攻击耶路撒冷，对城安营，四围筑垒攻城。于是城被围困，直到西底家王十一年。四月初九日，城里有大饥荒，甚至百姓都没有粮食。城被攻破，一切兵丁就在夜间从靠近王园两城中间的门逃跑。迦勒底人正在四围攻城，王就向亚拉巴逃走。迦勒底的军队追赶王，在耶利哥的平原追上他；他的全军都离开他四散了。迦勒底人就拿住王，带他到在利比拉的巴比伦王那里审判他。在西底家眼前杀了他的众子，并且剜了西底家的眼睛，用铜链锁着他，带到巴比伦去。

其余的逃入亚弗城；城墙塌倒，压死剩下的二万七千人。便哈达也逃入城，藏在严密的屋子里。
