Give them this message from the Sovereign Lord: When I chose Israel— when I revealed myself to the descendants of Jacob in Egypt— I took a solemn oath that I, the Lord, would be their God.

你要告诉他们，主耶和华这样说，‘我拣选以色列那日，曾向雅各家的后裔起誓，又在埃及向他们显现，告诉他们我是他们的上帝耶和华。

对他们说：‘主耶和华这样说：在我拣选以色列的日子，我向雅各家的后裔举手起誓，又在埃及地向他们显现。我向他们举手起誓说：我是耶和华你们的神。

對他們說，主耶和華如此說：當日我揀選以色列，向雅各家的後裔起誓，在埃及地將自己向他們顯現，說：我是耶和華－你們的神。

你要對他們說，主耶和華如此說：當日我揀選以色列，對雅各家的後裔起誓，在埃及地向他們顯現，起誓說：我是耶和華－你們的上帝；

你要對他們說，主耶和華如此說：當日我揀選以色列，對雅各家的後裔起誓，在埃及地向他們顯現，起誓說：我是耶和華－你們的神；

你要告訴他們，主耶和華這樣說，『我揀選以色列那日，曾向雅各家的後裔起誓，又在埃及向他們顯現，告訴他們我是他們的上帝耶和華。

對他們說：‘主耶和華這樣說：在我揀選以色列的日子，我向雅各家的後裔舉手起誓，又在埃及地向他們顯現。我向他們舉手起誓說：我是耶和華你們的神。

對他們說：主永恆主這麼說：當我揀選以色列的日子，我向雅各家的後裔舉手起誓，在埃及地使他們認識我；我向他們舉手起誓說：我乃是永恆主你們的上帝。

又告之曰、主耶和華云、我選以色列之日、誓於雅各家之裔、見於埃及地、曰、我乃爾之上帝耶和華、

爾當告之云、主耶和華曰、越在疇昔、我顯現於埃及、遴選以色列族雅各家、與之盟誓、曰、我耶和華、為爾之上帝、

告之曰、主天主如是云、昔我選以色列之日、為雅各家之苗裔發誓、在伊及地、向彼顯現、與之盟誓曰、我乃主爾之天主、

and say to them:‘ This is what the Sovereign Lord says: On the day I chose Israel, I swore with uplifted hand to the descendants of Jacob and revealed myself to them in Egypt. With uplifted hand I said to them,“ I am the Lord your God.”

Tell them,‘ The Lord and King says,“ I chose Israel. On that day I raised my hand and made a promise. I made a promise to the members of Jacob’s family line. I made myself known to them in Egypt. I raised my hand and told them,‘ I am the Lord your God.’

and say to them, Thus says the Lord God: On the day when I chose Israel, I swore to the offspring of the house of Jacob, making myself known to them in the land of Egypt; I swore to them, saying, I am the Lord your God.

Say to them,‘ This is what the Lord GOD says: On the day I chose Israel, I swore an oath to the descendants of Jacob’s house and made myself known to them in the land of Egypt. I swore to them, saying,“ I am the LORD your God.”

and say to them,‘ This is what the Lord God says:“ On the day when I chose Israel and swore to the descendants of the house of Jacob and made Myself known to them in the land of Egypt, when I swore to them, saying, I am the Lord your God,

“ Say to them,‘ Thus says the Lord God:“ On the day when I chose Israel and raised My hand in an oath to the descendants of the house of Jacob, and made Myself known to them in the land of Egypt, I raised My hand in an oath to them, saying,‘ I am the Lord your God.’

and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: In the day when I chose Israel, and sware unto the seed of the house of Jacob, and made myself known unto them in the land of Egypt, when I sware unto them, saying, I am Jehovah your God;

Say to them: This is what the Lord God says: On the day I chose Israel, I swore an oath to the descendants of Jacob’s house and made Myself known to them in the land of Egypt. I swore to them, saying: I am Yahweh your God.

And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; In the day when I chose Israel, and lifted up mine hand unto the seed of the house of Jacob, and made myself known unto them in the land of Egypt, when I lifted up mine hand unto them, saying, I[ am] the LORD your God;

and say to them:“‘ This is what the sovereign LORD says: On the day I chose Israel I swore to the descendants of the house of Jacob and made myself known to them in the land of Egypt. I swore to them,“ I am the LORD your God.”

Tell them,‘ The Lord Yahweh says:“ In the day when I chose Israel, and swore to the offspring of the house of Jacob, and made myself known to them in the land of Egypt, when I swore to them, saying,‘ I am Yahweh your God;’

But I took a solemn oath against them in the wilderness. I swore I would scatter them among all the nations

Abram replied to the king of Sodom,“ I solemnly swear to the Lord, God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth,

“ Therefore, say to the people of Israel:‘ I am the Lord. I will free you from your oppression and will rescue you from your slavery in Egypt. I will redeem you with a powerful arm and great acts of judgment.I will claim you as my own people, and I will be your God. Then you will know that I am the Lord your God who has freed you from your oppression in Egypt.

For you are a holy people, who belong to the Lord your God. Of all the people on earth, the Lord your God has chosen you to be his own special treasure.

Otherwise each tribe will receive an equal share. I took a solemn oath and swore that I would give this land to your ancestors, and it will now come to you as your possession.

So I have come down to rescue them from the power of the Egyptians and lead them out of Egypt into their own fertile and spacious land. It is a land flowing with milk and honey— the land where the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites now live.

But I took a solemn oath against them in the wilderness. I swore I would not bring them into the land I had given them, a land flowing with milk and honey, the most beautiful place on earth.

Then the people of Israel were convinced that the Lord had sent Moses and Aaron. When they heard that the Lord was concerned about them and had seen their misery, they bowed down and worshiped.

I am the God of your father— the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” When Moses heard this, he covered his face because he was afraid to look at God.

And God said to Moses,“ I am Yahweh—‘ the Lord.’

“ But as for you, Israel my servant, Jacob my chosen one, descended from Abraham my friend,I have called you back from the ends of the earth, saying,‘ You are my servant.’ For I have chosen you and will not throw you away.

He revealed his character to Moses and his deeds to the people of Israel.

“ But now, listen to me, Jacob my servant, Israel my chosen one.The Lord who made you and helps you says: Do not be afraid, O Jacob, my servant, O dear Israel, my chosen one.

Has any other god dared to take a nation for himself out of another nation by means of trials, miraculous signs, wonders, war, a strong hand, a powerful arm, and terrifying acts? Yet that is what the Lord your God did for you in Egypt, right before your eyes.

“ I am the Lord your God, who rescued you from the land of Egypt, the place of your slavery.“ You must not have any other god but me.

Then the angel I saw standing on the sea and on the land raised his right hand toward heaven.

‘ You have seen what I did to the Egyptians. You know how I carried you on eagles’ wings and brought you to myself.Now if you will obey me and keep my covenant, you will be my own special treasure from among all the peoples on earth; for all the earth belongs to me.And you will be my kingdom of priests, my holy nation.’ This is the message you must give to the people of Israel.”

You have been set apart as holy to the Lord your God, and he has chosen you from all the nations of the earth to be his own special treasure.

In fact, unless the Lord shortens that time of calamity, not a single person will survive. But for the sake of his chosen ones he has shortened those days.

Because he loved your ancestors, he chose to bless their descendants, and he personally brought you out of Egypt with a great display of power.

“ Now go and call together all the elders of Israel. Tell them,‘ Yahweh, the God of your ancestors— the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob— has appeared to me. He told me,“ I have been watching closely, and I see how the Egyptians are treating you.

Keep in mind that I am not talking now to your children, who have never experienced the discipline of the Lord your God or seen his greatness and his strong hand and powerful arm.They didn’t see the miraculous signs and wonders he performed in Egypt against Pharaoh and all his land.They didn’t see what the Lord did to the armies of Egypt and to their horses and chariots— how he drowned them in the Red Sea as they were chasing you. He destroyed them, and they have not recovered to this very day!“ Your children didn’t see how the Lord cared for you in the wilderness until you arrived here.They didn’t see what he did to Dathan and Abiram( the sons of Eliab, a descendant of Reuben) when the earth opened its mouth in the Israelite camp and swallowed them, along with their households and tents and every living thing that belonged to them.But you have seen the Lord perform all these mighty deeds with your own eyes!

Now I raise my hand to heaven and declare,“ As surely as I live,

What joy for the nation whose God is the Lord, whose people he has chosen as his inheritance.

“ But you are my witnesses, O Israel!” says the Lord.“ You are my servant. You have been chosen to know me, believe in me, and understand that I alone am God. There is no other God— there never has been, and there never will be.

Therefore, as surely as I live, says the Sovereign Lord, I will pay back your angry deeds with my own. I will punish you for all your acts of anger, envy, and hatred. And I will make myself known to Israel by what I do to you.

“ Have you noticed what people are saying?—‘ The Lord chose Judah and Israel and then abandoned them!’ They are sneering and saying that Israel is not worthy to be counted as a nation.
