What you have in your mind shall never be, when you say,‘ We will be like the Gentiles, like the families in other countries, serving wood and stone.’

“‘你们说要像外族人一样去供奉木头石头，你们的想法绝不能实现！’

你们说：我们要像列国的人，像列邦的各族一样去事奉木头和石头。你们心里所起的这意念，必不能成就。

「你們說：我們要像外邦人和列國的宗族一樣，去事奉木頭與石頭。你們所起的這心意萬不能成就。」

你們說：我們要像列國的人，像列邦的各族一樣去事奉木頭和石頭。你們心裡所起的這意念，必不能成就。

『你們說：「讓我們像列國人，像列邦的宗族一樣，去服事木頭石頭吧！」你們心裏起的這意念、是決不能成的。

爾意欲效異邦、同於列國之族、服事木石、此意必不得成、

爾欲效異邦人尤、崇拜木石、我必不姑容、

爾心曰、我欲似異邦、似列國之族、崇拜木石、爾此心意、必不得成、

“‘ You say,“ We want to be like the nations, like the peoples of the world, who serve wood and stone.” But what you have in mind will never happen.

“‘ “You say,‘ We want to be like the other nations. We want to be like all the other people in the world. They serve gods made out of wood and stone.’ But what you have in mind will never happen.

“ What is in your mind shall never happen— the thought,‘ Let us be like the nations, like the tribes of the countries, and worship wood and stone.’

“ You say,‘ We want to be like the nations all around us, who serve idols of wood and stone.’ But what you have in mind will never happen.

“‘ When you say,“ Let’s be like the nations, like the clans of other countries, serving wood and stone,” what you have in mind will never happen.

And whatever comes into your mind certainly will not come about, when you say:‘ We will be like the nations, like the families of the lands, serving wood and stone.’

and that which cometh into your mind shall not be at all, in that ye say, We will be as the nations, as the families of the countries, to serve wood and stone.

“ When you say,‘ Let us be like the nations, like the peoples of other countries, worshiping wood and stone,’ what you have in mind will never happen.

And that which cometh into your mind shall not be at all, that ye say, We will be as the heathen, as the families of the countries, to serve wood and stone.

“‘ What you plan will never happen. You say,“ We will be like the nations, like the clans of the lands, who serve gods of wood and stone.”

“‘“ That which comes into your mind will not be at all, in that you say,‘ We will be as the nations, as the families of the countries, to serve wood and stone.’

Then the Spirit of the Lord fell upon me, and said to me,“ Speak!‘ Thus says the Lord:“ Thus you have said, O house of Israel; for I know the things that come into your mind.

But we will certainly do whatever has gone out of our own mouth, to burn incense to the queen of heaven and pour out drink offerings to her, as we have done, we and our fathers, our kings and our princes, in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem. For then we had plenty of food, were well-off, and saw no trouble.

But the rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, that they should not worship demons, and idols of gold, silver, brass, stone, and wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk.

And there you will serve gods, the work of men’s hands, wood and stone, which neither see nor hear nor eat nor smell.

They drank wine, and praised the gods of gold and silver, bronze and iron, wood and stone.

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off.

And this shall be a sign to you,’ says the Lord,‘ that I will punish you in this place, that you may know that My words will surely stand against you for adversity.’

There are many plans in a man’s heart, Nevertheless the LORD’s counsel— that will stand.

“ The Lord will bring you and the king whom you set over you to a nation which neither you nor your fathers have known, and there you shall serve other gods— wood and stone.

and said to him,“ Look, you are old, and your sons do not walk in your ways. Now make us a king to judge us like all the nations.”

“ Then the Lord will scatter you among all peoples, from one end of the earth to the other, and there you shall serve other gods, which neither you nor your fathers have known— wood and stone.

‘ Thus says the Lord GOD:“ On that day it shall come to pass that thoughts will arise in your mind, and you will make an evil plan:

and you saw their abominations and their idols which were among them— wood and stone and silver and gold);

Who is he who speaks and it comes to pass, When the Lord has not commanded it?

and have cast their gods into the fire; for they were not gods, but the work of men’s hands— wood and stone. Therefore they destroyed them.
