爾奉禮物、使子經火、崇拜偶像、自染污衊、迄於今日乎、以色列家歟、我豈聽爾之諮諏乎、主耶和華曰、我指己生而誓、不聽爾之諮諏、

以色列族乎、爾獻子女、焚之以火、崇事偶像、自沾污衊、今日乃來問我、我耶和華、指己而誓、不許爾與我言。

When you offer your gifts— the sacrifice of your children in the fire— you continue to defile yourselves with all your idols to this day. Am I to let you inquire of me, you Israelites? As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, I will not let you inquire of me.

You make yourselves‘ unclean’ by offering sacrifices to other gods. You even sacrifice your children in the fire. You continue to do these things to this day. People of Israel, should I let you ask me for advice? I will not let you do that,” announces the Lord and King.“ And that is just as sure as I am alive.

When you present your gifts and offer up your children in fire, you defile yourselves with all your idols to this day. And shall I be inquired of by you, O house of Israel? As I live, declares the Lord God, I will not be inquired of by you.

For when you offer gifts to them and give your little children to be burned as sacrifices, you continue to pollute yourselves with idols to this day. Should I allow you to ask for a message from me, O people of Israel? As surely as I live, says the Sovereign Lord, I will tell you nothing.

因他們使一切首開母胎的孩子經過火而獻為祭，我就用他們這些祭獻來玷污他們，使他們驚駭；為要使他們知道我乃是永恆主。

他們築了陀斐特的邱壇、就是那在欣嫩子平谷中的，去用火焚燒自己的兒女：這並不是我所吩咐的，也不是我心裏所起意過的。

他們宰獻了自己的兒子和女兒給魔鬼，流了無辜人的血，他們兒女的血，他們所宰獻給迦南之偶像的；那地就因血而被沾污了。這樣他們就因所作的而蒙不潔，也以惡行為而變節事奉別的神了。

轉耳不聽指教的、他的祈禱也可厭惡。

『人子啊，你要告訴以色列的長老，說：主永恆主這麼說：你們來是求問我麼？主永恆主發神諭說：我指着永活的我來起誓，我是不讓你們求問的。

築了巴力的邱壇，去在火中焚燒自己的兒女，做燻祭獻給巴力：這不是我所吩咐的，不是我所提說的，也不是我心裏所想起的啊。

『我呼喚，他們既怎樣不聽，那麼他們呼求，我也就照樣不聞了』：這是萬軍之永恆主說的。

儘管他們禁食，我也不聽他們的喊求；儘管他們獻上燔祭和素祭，我也不悅納；我卻要用刀劍、饑荒、和瘟疫去滅盡他們。』

『人子啊，這些人將他們的偶像接上心頭，把陷於他們罪孽中的因由放在自己面前，我哪能讓他們求問甚麼呢？故此你要告訴他們說：主永恆主這麼說：以色列家的人中間、每一個將他的偶像接上心頭、把陷於他罪孽中的因由放在自己面前、又前來見神言人的，我必按他眾多的偶像親自應付他，

不拜上帝之人被剪掉，上帝要取他的性命時，他還有甚麼指望呢？

其餘的童女隨後也來了，說：「主啊，主啊，給我們開吧！」他卻回答說：「我實在告訴你們，我不認識你們。」

你們中間爭戰從哪兒來，鬥毆從哪兒來呢？豈不是從那在你們肢體中交戰的宴樂慾而來的麼？你們貪慾而無所有，你們就殺人；你們切求而不能得，你們就鬥毆爭戰。你們得不着，因為你們不求。你們求而無所得，因為你們妄求，要浪費在你們的宴樂中。

你並且把你的兒女，你所給我生的，祭獻給它們、去被燒滅。你的淫亂哪裏是小事呢？

以利沙對以色列王說：『你和我有甚麼關係？你去找你父親的神言人、和你母親的神言人吧。』以色列王對他說：『不；是永恆主召集了這三個王、要把他們交在摩押人手中的。』以利沙說：『我指着我侍立在他面前的永活萬軍永恆主來起誓，我若不是看猶大王約沙法的情面，我就不理你、不看你。

我若心裏看重罪孽，主必不聽我。

恐懼臨到你們、好像狂風，災難來到、如同風暴；艱難困苦臨到你們身上：那時他們必呼求我，我卻不應；他們必尋找我，卻尋不見；

他哪是對全能者有絕妙樂趣，時刻呼求上帝呢？

在你中間不可有人將兒子或女兒用火燒獻為祭，也不可有占卜的、算命的、觀兆頭的、行邪術的、用迷術的、問交鬼的、行巫術的、過陰的。因為凡行這些事的、都是永恆主所憎惡的；也正是因了這些可厭惡之事的緣故，永恆主你的上帝才把他們從你面前趕出。

掃羅看見非利士人的軍兵，就懼怕，心裏顫抖得很。掃羅求問永恆主，永恆主卻沒有藉着夢，沒有藉着烏陵，也沒有藉着神言人而回答他。

你們伸開雙手來禱告，我必掩目不看你們；就使你們多多禱告，我也不聽；你們的手都滿了血，你們的指頭滿了罪孽。
