当你们献上供物，使你们儿子经火的时候，你们仍用各样的偶像玷污自己，直到今日。以色列家啊，我岂能让你们求问呢？主耶和华说：我指着我的永生起誓，我必不让你们求问。

仇敌和寻索其命的人追逼他们，使他们落在围困窘迫之中，我必使他们各人吃自己儿女的肉和朋友的肉。’

那又怎么说呢？以色列人所寻求的，他们没有得着。但是蒙拣选的人得着了，其余的人却成了顽梗不化的。如经上所记：“上帝给他们昏沉的灵，眼睛看不见，耳朵听不到，直到今日。”大卫也说：“愿他们的宴席变为罗网，变为陷阱，变为绊脚石，作他们的报应。愿他们的眼睛昏花，看不见；愿你时常弯下他们的腰。”

正如主的律法上所记：“凡头生的男子必归主为圣”；
