我在旷野也曾经向他们举手起誓，要把他们分散在列国，四散在万邦；

彼尚在曠野、不守我法度、藐視我禮儀、犯我安息日、崇敬列祖所拜之偶像、我誓必散之於異邦族類中、

我亦在曠野為之發誓、必散之於異邦、播之於列國、

我要把你们分散在万国中，我又拔出刀来追赶你们；你们的地成为荒凉，你们的城市变成荒场。

我在旷野也曾经向他们举手起誓，必不领他们到我赐给他们的流奶与蜜之地，就是万邦中最荣美的地。

耶和华必使你分散在万民中，从地的这边到地的那边；在那里你要事奉你和你的列祖不认识的别的神，就是木头和石头做的神。在那些国中，你必不得安息，也没有脚掌歇息的地方；耶和华却必使你在那里心中发颤，眼目憔悴，精神颓废。你未来的生命必悬而不定；你必昼夜恐惧，生命难保。因你心里的惧怕惊恐和你眼中看见的景象，早晨你必说：‘但愿现在是晚上！’晚上你必说：‘但愿现在是早晨！’耶和华必用船把你送回埃及去，走我曾经告诉你，你不得再见的那条路；在那里你们必卖身给你的仇敌作奴仆和作婢女，却没有人买。”

我看见那站在海上和地上的天使，向天举起右手来，指着那活到永永远远，创造天和天上之物、地和地上之物、海和海中之物的神起誓，说：“必不再延迟了！

使他们的后裔四散在万国中，使他们分散在各地。

我向天举手说：我活到永永远远；

我原想：“我要把他们分散到各处，把他们的名号都从人间除灭。”但我惧怕仇人激动我，恐怕敌人误会了，又恐怕他们说：“是我们的手高举了，并不是耶和华作了这一切事。”’

“因犹大王希西家的儿子玛拿西在耶路撒冷的所作所为，我必使地上万国看见他们的遭遇就惊恐。”
