I said to their children in the wilderness,“ Do not follow the statutes of your parents or keep their laws or defile yourselves with their idols.

I spoke to their children there. I said,‘ Do not follow the rules your parents gave you. Do not obey their laws. Do not make yourselves“ unclean” by worshiping their gods.

“ And I said to their children in the wilderness,‘ Do not walk in the statutes of your fathers, nor keep their rules, nor defile yourselves with their idols.

“ Then I warned their children not to follow in their parents’ footsteps, defiling themselves with their idols.

“‘ Then I said to their children in the wilderness,“ Don’t follow the statutes of your fathers, defile yourselves with their idols, or keep their ordinances.

“ Instead, I said to their children in the wilderness,‘ Do not walk in the statutes of your fathers or keep their ordinances or defile yourselves with their idols.

“ But I said to their children in the wilderness,‘ Do not walk in the statutes of your fathers, nor observe their judgments, nor defile yourselves with their idols.

And I said unto their children in the wilderness, Walk ye not in the statutes of your fathers, neither observe their ordinances, nor defile yourselves with their idols.

“ Then I said to their children in the wilderness: Don’t follow the statutes of your fathers, defile yourselves with their idols, or keep their ordinances.

But I said unto their children in the wilderness, Walk ye not in the statutes of your fathers, neither observe their judgments, nor defile yourselves with their idols:

“‘ But I said to their children in the wilderness,“ Do not follow the practices of your fathers; do not observe their regulations, nor defile yourselves with their idols.

I said to their children in the wilderness,‘ Don’t walk in the statutes of your fathers. Don’t observe their ordinances or defile yourselves with their idols.

我告诉他们要除掉他们祭拜的可憎之物，不可让埃及的偶像玷污自己，因为我是他们的上帝耶和华。

你们亲眼看见耶和华在巴力·毗珥事件中的作为，你们的上帝耶和华毁灭了你们中间所有拜巴力·毗珥的人，但你们这些信靠你们的上帝耶和华的人至今还活着。看啊，遵照我的上帝耶和华的吩咐，我把律例和典章传授给你们，好让你们在将要占领的土地上遵守。你们要谨遵这些律例和典章，因为这样就会让外族人看见你们的智慧和聪明。他们听见这些律法后，必说，‘这伟大的民族真有智慧和聪明！’

要知道，你们从传统的、没有意义的生活中被救赎出来，不是靠金银等会朽坏的东西，

“耶和华曾对你们的祖先大发怒气。因此，你要告诉百姓，万军之耶和华说，‘你们要归向我，我就回到你们那里。这是万军之耶和华说的。不要像你们的祖先一样。以前的先知曾呼唤他们要听从万军之耶和华的话，改邪归正，停止作恶，他们却置若罔闻，不予理会。这是耶和华说的。

我带领你们进入肥沃之地，享受那里富饶的物产。但你们一进来，就玷污我的地，使我的产业成为可憎之地。

好让他们也照样教导自己的子孙后代，世代相传。这样，他们就会信靠上帝，遵行祂的命令，不忘记祂的作为；也不会像自己的祖先那样顽梗叛逆，对上帝不忠，心怀二意。

而你们必死在这旷野。你们的儿女要在旷野飘泊四十年，为你们的不忠而受苦，直到你们都死在旷野。

“你们这些顽固不化、耳不听心不悔的人，经常抗拒圣灵，所作所为和你们的祖先如出一辙！

以色列肆意淫乱，拜石头木头，玷污了土地。

“你们有祸了，你们为先知修造坟墓，而他们正是被你们祖先杀害的！所以你们是见证人，你们赞同祖先的行为，因为他们杀了先知，你们为先知造坟墓。

耶和华向以色列人发怒，使他们在旷野漂泊了四十年，直到在耶和华面前作恶的那一代都死了。“现在，你们这群罪人的后代竟然重蹈前人的覆辙，加剧耶和华的怒气。如果你们离弃祂，祂必再次把以色列人丢弃在旷野，这样你们就毁了整个民族。”
