Nevertheless My eye spared them from destruction. I did not make an end of them in the wilderness.

然我目猶顧惜之、不加翦滅、不盡絕之於野、

然我猶加矜憫、不忍殲滅、不使殞沒於曠野、

然我目猶顧惜之、不忍殲滅、未使之盡亡於曠野、

Yet I looked on them with pity and did not destroy them or put an end to them in the wilderness.

Then I felt sorry for them. So I did not destroy them. I did not put an end to them in the desert.

Nevertheless, my eye spared them, and I did not destroy them or make a full end of them in the wilderness.

Nevertheless, I took pity on them and held back from destroying them in the wilderness.

Yet I spared them from destruction and did not bring them to an end in the wilderness.

Yet My eye spared them rather than destroying them, and I did not bring about their annihilation in the wilderness.

Nevertheless mine eye spared them, and I destroyed them not, neither did I make a full end of them in the wilderness.

Now it happened, while I was prophesying, that Pelatiah the son of Benaiah died. Then I fell on my face and cried with a loud voice, and said,“ Ah, Lord GOD! Will You make a complete end of the remnant of Israel?”

For thus says the Lord:“ The whole land shall be desolate; Yet I will not make a full end.

“ Nevertheless in those days,” says the Lord,“ I will not make a complete end of you.

Yet in Your manifold mercies You did not forsake them in the wilderness. The pillar of the cloud did not depart from them by day, To lead them on the road; Nor the pillar of fire by night, To show them light, And the way they should go.

And as for Me also, My eye will neither spare, nor will I have pity, but I will recompense their deeds on their own head.”

Look, this day your eyes have seen that the Lord delivered you today into my hand in the cave, and someone urged me to kill you. But my eye spared you, and I said,‘ I will not stretch out my hand against my Lord, for he is the LORD’s anointed.’

But with an overflowing flood He will make an utter end of its place, And darkness will pursue His enemies.What do you conspire against the Lord? He will make an utter end of it. Affliction will not rise up a second time.

For their heart was not steadfast with Him, Nor were they faithful in His covenant.But He, being full of compassion, forgave their iniquity, And did not destroy them. Yes, many a time He turned His anger away, And did not stir up all His wrath;

“ And you, son of man, thus says the Lord GOD to the land of Israel:‘ An end! The end has come upon the four corners of the land.

Therefore I also will act in fury. My eye will not spare nor will I have pity; and though they cry in My ears with a loud voice, I will not hear them.”
