可是以色列家在旷野背叛了我，没有遵行我的律例，弃绝了我的典章（人如果遵行这些，就必因此活着），大大亵渎了我的安息日，那时我说我要把我的烈怒倒在他们身上，在旷野把他们灭绝。

可是以色列家在曠野背叛了我，沒有遵行我的律例，棄絕了我的典章（人如果遵行這些，就必因此活著），大大褻瀆了我的安息日，那時我說我要把我的烈怒倒在他們身上，在曠野把他們滅絕。

然而以色列家在曠野卻叛逆了我，不遵行我的律例，反而棄絕我的典章、（就是人若實行、必因此而活着的），大大瀆犯我的安息日。『我就心裏說我要在曠野將我的烈怒傾倒在他們身上，來消滅他們。

惟以色列家在曠野、悖逆乎我、不循我典章、棄我律例、人若遵行、則緣之得生、且犯我安息日特甚、我則曰、必在曠野、傾我怒以滅之、

然以色列族在曠野、違逆乎我、不遵我禮儀、犯我安息日、浸假有人守我法度、則可保生、惟彼藐視之、故我自謂、必在曠野、震怒斯眾、滅之務盡。

然以色列族在曠野悖逆我、不遵我之律例、藐視我之法度、人若遵行、必由此得生、彼又大犯我之安息日、我言將震怒斯民、震怒斯民或作傾洩我之盛怒於斯民滅之於曠野、

“‘ Yet the people of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness. They did not follow my decrees but rejected my laws— by which the person who obeys them will live— and they utterly desecrated my Sabbaths. So I said I would pour out my wrath on them and destroy them in the wilderness.

“‘ “But in the desert the people of Israel refused to obey me. They did not follow my rules. They turned their backs on my laws. The person who obeys them will live by them. They totally misused my Sabbath days. So I said I would pour out my great anger on them. I would destroy them in the desert.

But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness. They did not walk in my statutes but rejected my rules, by which, if a person does them, he shall live; and my Sabbaths they greatly profaned.“ Then I said I would pour out my wrath upon them in the wilderness, to make a full end of them.

“ But the people of Israel rebelled against me, and they refused to obey my decrees there in the wilderness. They wouldn’t obey my regulations even though obedience would have given them life. They also violated my Sabbath days. So I threatened to pour out my fury on them, and I made plans to utterly consume them in the wilderness.

“‘ But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness. They did not follow my statutes and they rejected my ordinances— the person who does them will live by them. They also completely profaned my Sabbaths. So I considered pouring out my wrath on them in the wilderness to put an end to them.

Then I resolved to pour out My wrath on them in the wilderness, to annihilate them.

But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness: they walked not in my statutes, and they rejected mine ordinances, which if a man keep, he shall live in them; and my sabbaths they greatly profaned. Then I said I would pour out my wrath upon them in the wilderness, to consume them.

They also completely profaned My Sabbaths. So I considered pouring out My wrath on them in the wilderness to put an end to them.

But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness: they walked not in my statutes, and they despised my judgments, which[ if] a man do, he shall even live in them; and my sabbaths they greatly polluted: then I said, I would pour out my fury upon them in the wilderness, to consume them.

But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness; they did not follow my statutes and they rejected my regulations( the one who obeys them will live by them), and they utterly desecrated my Sabbaths. So I decided to pour out my rage on them in the wilderness and destroy them.

“‘“ But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wilderness. They didn’t walk in my statutes, and they rejected my ordinances, which if a man keeps, he shall live in them. They greatly profaned my Sabbaths. Then I said I would pour out my wrath on them in the wilderness, to consume them.

“ Notwithstanding, the children rebelled against Me; they did not walk in My statutes, and were not careful to observe My judgments,‘ which, if a man does, he shall live by them’; but they profaned My Sabbaths. Then I said I would pour out My fury on them and fulfill My anger against them in the wilderness.

But they rebelled against Me and would not obey Me. They did not all cast away the abominations which were before their eyes, nor did they forsake the idols of Egypt. Then I said,‘ I will pour out My fury on them and fulfill My anger against them in the midst of the land of Egypt.’

“ Also the sons of the foreigner Who join themselves to the Lord, to serve Him, And to love the name of the Lord, to be His servants— Everyone who keeps from defiling the Sabbath, And holds fast My covenant—

because they had not executed My judgments, but had despised My statutes, profaned My Sabbaths, and their eyes were fixed on their fathers’ idols.

Also in Horeb you provoked the Lord to wrath, so that the Lord was angry enough with you to have destroyed you.

Then the Lord said to Moses:“ How long will these people reject Me? And how long will they not believe Me, with all the signs which I have performed among them?I will strike them with the pestilence and disinherit them, and I will make of you a nation greater and mightier than they.”

The carcasses of you who have complained against Me shall fall in this wilderness, all of you who were numbered, according to your entire number, from twenty years old and above.

Now therefore, let Me alone, that My wrath may burn hot against them and I may consume them. And I will make of you a great nation.”

because all these men who have seen My glory and the signs which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have put Me to the test now these ten times, and have not heeded My voice,

“ Then the Lord said to me,‘ Arise, go down quickly from here, for your people whom you brought out of Egypt have acted corruptly; they have quickly turned aside from the way which I commanded them; they have made themselves a molded image.’“ Furthermore the Lord spoke to me, saying,‘ I have seen this people, and indeed they are a stiff-necked people.Let Me alone, that I may destroy them and blot out their name from under heaven; and I will make of you a nation mightier and greater than they.’“ So I turned and came down from the mountain, and the mountain burned with fire; and the two tablets of the covenant were in my two hands.And I looked, and behold, you had sinned against the Lord your God— had made for yourselves a molded calf! You had turned aside quickly from the way which the Lord had commanded you.Then I took the two tablets and threw them out of my two hands and broke them before your eyes.And I fell down before the Lord, as at the first, forty days and forty nights; I neither ate bread nor drank water, because of all your sin which you committed in doing wickedly in the sight of the Lord, to provoke Him to anger.For I was afraid of the anger and hot displeasure with which the Lord was angry with you, to destroy you. But the Lord listened to me at that time also.And the Lord was very angry with Aaron and would have destroyed him; so I prayed for Aaron also at the same time.Then I took your sin, the calf which you had made, and burned it with fire and crushed it and ground it very small, until it was as fine as dust; and I threw its dust into the brook that descended from the mountain.“ Also at Taberah and Massah and Kibroth Hattaavah you provoked the Lord to wrath.Likewise, when the Lord sent you from Kadesh Barnea, saying,‘ Go up and possess the land which I have given you,’ then you rebelled against the commandment of the Lord your God, and you did not believe Him nor obey His voice.You have been rebellious against the Lord from the day that I knew you.

Thus says the Lord:“ For three transgressions of Judah, and for four, I will not turn away its punishment, Because they have despised the law of the Lord, And have not kept His commandments. Their lies lead them astray, Lies which their fathers followed.

and if you despise My statutes, or if your soul abhors My judgments, so that you do not perform all My commandments, but break My covenant,

Therefore he who rejects this does not reject man, but God, who has also given us His Holy Spirit.

Now it happened that some of the people went out on the seventh day to gather, but they found none.And the Lord said to Moses,“ How long do you refuse to keep My commandments and My laws?

And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying,“ Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment.”

They soon forgot His works; They did not wait for His counsel,But lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, And tested God in the desert.And He gave them their request, But sent leanness into their soul.When they envied Moses in the camp, And Aaron the saint of the Lord,The earth opened up and swallowed Dathan, And covered the faction of Abiram.A fire was kindled in their company; The flame burned up the wicked.They made a calf in Horeb, And worshiped the molded image.Thus they changed their glory Into the image of an ox that eats grass.They forgot God their Savior, Who had done great things in Egypt,Wondrous works in the land of Ham, Awesome things by the Red Sea.Therefore He said that He would destroy them, Had not Moses His chosen one stood before Him in the breach, To turn away His wrath, lest He destroy them.Then they despised the pleasant land; They did not believe His word,But complained in their tents, And did not heed the voice of the Lord.Therefore He raised His hand in an oath against them, To overthrow them in the wilderness,To overthrow their descendants among the nations, And to scatter them in the lands.They joined themselves also to Baal of Peor, And ate sacrifices made to the dead.Thus they provoked Him to anger with their deeds, And the plague broke out among them.Then Phinehas stood up and intervened, And the plague was stopped.And that was accounted to him for righteousness To all generations forevermore.They angered Him also at the waters of strife, So that it went ill with Moses on account of them;Because they rebelled against His Spirit, So that he spoke rashly with his lips.

They have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them. They have made themselves a molded calf, and worshiped it and sacrificed to it, and said,‘ This is your god, O Israel, that brought you out of the land of Egypt!’”

According to all the works which they have done since the day that I brought them up out of Egypt, even to this day— with which they have forsaken Me and served other gods— so they are doing to you also.

because they despised My judgments and did not walk in My statutes, but profaned My Sabbaths; for their heart went after their idols.

These are the families of Issachar according to those who were numbered of them: sixty-four thousand three hundred.

for I know your rebellion and your stiff neck. If today, while I am yet alive with you, you have been rebellious against the Lord, then how much more after my death?

“ Get away from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment.” And they fell on their faces.

Anyone who has rejected Moses’ law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses.Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace?

Because he has despised the word of the Lord, and has broken His commandment, that person shall be completely cut off; his guilt shall be upon him.’”Now while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man gathering sticks on the Sabbath day.And those who found him gathering sticks brought him to Moses and Aaron, and to all the congregation.They put him under guard, because it had not been explained what should be done to him.Then the Lord said to Moses,“ The man must surely be put to death; all the congregation shall stone him with stones outside the camp.”So, as the Lord commanded Moses, all the congregation brought him outside the camp and stoned him with stones, and he died.

The land also shall be left empty by them, and will enjoy its sabbaths while it lies desolate without them; they will accept their guilt, because they despised My judgments and because their soul abhorred My statutes.

How often they provoked Him in the wilderness, And grieved Him in the desert!Yes, again and again they tempted God, And limited the Holy One of Israel.

“ But they and our fathers acted proudly, Hardened their necks, And did not heed Your commandments.They refused to obey, And they were not mindful of Your wonders That You did among them. But they hardened their necks, And in their rebellion They appointed a leader To return to their bondage. But You are God, Ready to pardon, Gracious and merciful, Slow to anger, Abundant in kindness, And did not forsake them.“ Even when they made a molded calf for themselves, And said,‘ This is your god That brought you up out of Egypt,’ And worked great provocations,

But they rebelled and grieved His Holy Spirit; So He turned Himself against them as an enemy, And He fought against them.

“ Do not harden your hearts, as in the rebellion, As in the day of trial in the wilderness,When your fathers tested Me; They tried Me, though they saw My work.For forty years I was grieved with that generation, And said,‘ It is a people who go astray in their hearts, And they do not know My ways.’So I swore in My wrath,‘ They shall not enter My rest.’”

He who despises the word will be destroyed, But he who fears the commandment will be rewarded.

Why have you despised the commandment of the Lord, to do evil in His sight? You have killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword; you have taken his wife to be your wife, and have killed him with the sword of the people of Ammon.

Because you disdained all my counsel, And would have none of my rebuke,
