耶羅波安對他的妻子說：“你起來改裝，使人認不出你是耶羅波安的妻子。到示羅去，有亞希雅先知在那裡，他曾對我說，我必作這民的王。你要帶十個餅，一些餅乾和一瓶蜜去見他，他會告訴你孩子將要怎樣。”耶羅波安的妻子就這樣行了。她動身往示羅去，到了亞希雅的家；亞希雅因為年紀老邁，眼睛昏花，不能看見。耶和華對亞希雅說：“看哪，耶羅波安的妻子要來向你求問關於她兒子的事，因為他病了。你要這樣這樣告訴她。她進來的時候，必裝作別的婦人。”她剛進門的時候，亞希雅就聽見她的腳步聲，就說：“耶羅波安的妻子啊！進來吧！你為甚麼要這樣改裝呢？我奉差派要把凶信告訴你。

他們派了自己的門徒和希律黨的人一同去問耶穌：“老師，我們知道你為人誠實，照著真理把神的道教導人，不顧忌任何人，因為你不徇情面。

有幾個以色列的長老來見我，在我面前坐下。耶和華的話就臨到我說：“人子啊！這些人已經把他們的偶像接到心裡去，把那陷他們在罪孽中的絆腳石放在自己面前，我怎能讓他們向我求問呢？

以利沙對以色列王說：“我和你有甚麼關係呢？去問你父親和你母親的先知吧！”以色列王對他說：“不要這樣說，耶和華招聚這三位君王，是要把他們交在摩押人手中。”

米該雅來到王那裡的時候，王就問他：“米該雅啊，我們可以到基列的拉末去作戰嗎？或是要忍耐不去呢？”米該雅回答亞哈：“你可以上去，必得勝利，因為耶和華必把那城交在王的手裡！”王對他說：“我要囑咐你多少次，你才奉耶和華的名對我只說真話呢？”米該雅說：“我看見以色列人四散在山上，好像沒有牧人的羊群一樣；耶和華說：‘這些人沒有主人，使他們平平安安各自回家吧！’”以色列王對約沙法說：“我不是告訴過你，這人對我說的預言，總不說吉話，只說凶話嗎？”米該雅說：“因此，你要聽耶和華的話；我看見耶和華坐在他的寶座上，天上的萬軍都侍立在他的左右。耶和華說：‘誰去引誘亞哈，使他上基列的拉末陣亡呢？’有說這樣的，有說那樣的。後來有一個靈出來，站在耶和華面前，說：‘我去引誘他。’耶和華問他：‘你用甚麼方法呢？’他回答：‘我要出去，在亞哈所有先知的口中，作說謊的靈。’耶和華說：‘你可以去引誘他，你也必能成功，你去這樣行吧！’現在，耶和華已經把說謊的靈放在你這些先知的口中，耶和華已經命定災禍臨到你。”基拿拿的兒子西底家近前來，打米該雅的臉頰說：“耶和華的靈怎樣離開了我，去與你說話呢？”米該雅說：“你進密室躲藏的那一天，就必看見了。”以色列王說：“把米該雅帶回去，交給市長亞們和王的兒子約阿施，說：‘王這樣吩咐：把這人囚在監裡，少給他食物和水，直到我平平安安回來。’”米該雅說：“如果你真的可以平平安安回來，那麼耶和華就沒有藉著我說話了。”他又說：“眾民啊，你們都要聽。”

過了三天，才發現他在聖殿裡，坐在教師中間，一面聽，一面問。

她有一個妹妹，名叫馬利亞，坐在主的腳前聽道。

“人子啊！你本國的人在城牆旁邊和各家的門口正在談論你；弟兄對弟兄彼此說：‘來吧！聽聽有甚麼話從耶和華那裡出來。’他們成群來到你那裡，坐在你面前，像是我的子民一樣。其實他們聽了你的話，卻不去行；他們只是用口表示愛慕，他們的心卻是追隨不義之財。在他們眼中，你不過是首情歌，唱得美妙，彈得悅耳，他們聽了你的話，卻不去行。看哪！這事必定應驗，到那時候，他們就知道在他們中間有先知了。”

後來，西底家王派人去把他帶出來；王在自己的宮中私下問他，說：“從耶和華那裡有話來嗎？”耶利米回答：“有！”又說：“你必交在巴比倫王的手中。”
