Don’t be afraid because of them, for I am with you to rescue you,” says Yahweh.

The best of them is like a brier. The most upright is worse than a thorn hedge. The day of your watchmen, even your visitation, has come; now is the time of their confusion.

“ You therefore put your belt on your waist, arise, and say to them all that I command you. Don’t be dismayed at them, lest I dismay you before them.

Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you.

“ I, even I, am he who comforts you. Who are you, that you are afraid of man who shall die, and of the son of man who will be made as grass?

By faith, he left Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king; for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.

But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you are blessed.“ Don’t fear what they fear, neither be troubled.”

For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self- control.

There is a generation, oh how lofty are their eyes! Their eyelids are lifted up.There is a generation whose teeth are like swords, and their jaws like knives, to devour the poor from the earth, and the needy from among men.

“ I tell you, my friends, don’t be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.

on my behalf, that utterance may be given to me in opening my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the Good News,

Behold, I have made your face hard against their faces, and your forehead hard against their foreheads.I have made your forehead as a diamond, harder than flint. Don’t be afraid of them, neither be dismayed at their looks, though they are a rebellious house.”

Yahweh’s angel said to Elijah,“ Go down with him. Don’t be afraid of him.” Then he arose, and went down with him to the king.

For wickedness burns like a fire. It devours the briers and thorns; yes, it kindles in the thickets of the forest, and they roll upward in a column of smoke.

Don’t be afraid of those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul. Rather, fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna.

and in nothing frightened by the adversaries, which is for them a proof of destruction, but to you of salvation, and that from God.

Then Amaziah the priest of Bethel sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying,“ Amos has conspired against you in the middle of the house of Israel. The land is not able to bear all his words.For Amos says,‘ Jeroboam will die by the sword, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of his land.’”Amaziah also said to Amos,“ You seer, go, flee away into the land of Judah, and there eat bread, and prophesy there:but don’t prophesy again any more at Bethel; for it is the king’s sanctuary, and it is a royal house!”Then Amos answered Amaziah,“ I was no prophet, neither was I a prophet’s son; but I was a herdsman, and a farmer of sycamore figs;and Yahweh took me from following the flock, and Yahweh said to me,‘ Go, prophesy to my people Israel.’Now therefore listen to Yahweh’s word:‘ You say, Don’t prophesy against Israel, and don’t preach against the house of Isaac.’Therefore Yahweh says:‘ Your wife shall be a prostitute in the city, and your sons and your daughters shall fall by the sword, and your land shall be divided by line; and you yourself shall die in a land that is unclean, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of his land.’”

Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and had perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marveled. They recognized that they had been with Jesus.

Now, Lord, look at their threats, and grant to your servants to speak your word with all boldness,

But as for me, I am full of power by Yahweh’s Spirit, and of judgment, and of might, to declare to Jacob his disobedience, and to Israel his sin.

“‘“ There will be no more a pricking brier to the house of Israel, nor a hurting thorn of any that are around them that scorned them. Then they will know that I am the Lord Yahweh.”

Then they said,“ Come! Let’s devise plans against Jeremiah; for the law won’t perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet. Come, and let’s strike him with the tongue, and let’s not give heed to any of his words.”

But all the ungodly will be as thorns to be thrust away, because they can’t be taken with the hand,But the man who touches them must be armed with iron and the staff of a spear. They will be utterly burned with fire in their place.”

But Peter and John answered them,“ Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you rather than to God, judge for yourselves,

Then out of the smoke came locusts on the earth, and power was given to them, as the scorpions of the earth have power.They were told that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree, but only those people who don’t have God’s seal on their foreheads.They were given power, not to kill them, but to torment them for five months. Their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it strikes a person.In those days people will seek death, and will in no way find it. They will desire to die, and death will flee from them.

“ Listen to me, you who know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law. Don’t fear the reproach of men, and don’t be dismayed at their insults.

They are all grievous rebels, going around to slander. They are bronze and iron. All of them deal corruptly.
