惟爾人子、雖居荊棘蒺藜與蠍之中、勿畏之、亦勿畏其言、彼雖悖逆之家、勿畏其言、勿懼其貌、

“ But you, son of man, do not be afraid of them and do not be afraid of their words, even though briers and thorns are beside you and you live among scorpions. Don’t be afraid of their words or discouraged by the look on their faces, for they are a rebellious house.

And as for you, son of man, you are not to fear them nor fear their words, though thistles and thorns are with you and you sit on scorpions; you are not to fear their words nor be dismayed at their presence, since they are a rebellious house.

“ And you, son of man, do not be afraid of them nor be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns are with you and you dwell among scorpions; do not be afraid of their words or dismayed by their looks, though they are a rebellious house.

谁也不要怕，因为我与你同在，我必拯救你。这是耶和华说的。”

他们当中最好的不过是蒺藜，最正直的也不过是荆棘篱笆。你们的守望者所说的日子，就是你们受惩罚的日子已经来到。你们必惊慌失措。

现在，你要做好准备，去把我吩咐你的话告诉他们。不要惧怕他们，不然我将使你在他们面前充满恐惧。

我已经给你们权柄，使你们能践踏蛇和蝎子，胜过仇敌的权势，没有什么能伤害你们。

耶和华说：“安慰你们的是我，是我。你为什么要害怕难逃一死、生命如草芥的世人呢？

他凭信心离开埃及，不怕王的愤怒。他坚忍不拔，好像看见了肉眼不能看见的主。

就算你们为义受苦，也是有福的。不要害怕别人的恐吓，也不要惊慌，

因为上帝赐给我们的不是懦弱的心，而是刚强、仁爱、自律的心。

有一种人趾高气扬，目空一切。有一种人牙如剑，齿如刀，要吞吃世间的困苦人和贫穷人。

“朋友们，我告诉你们，不要惧怕那些杀害人的身体后再也无计可施的人。

也请你们为我祷告，求上帝赐我口才，让我勇敢地把福音的奥秘讲解明白。

不过，我要使你的脸像他们的脸一样硬，使你的额像他们的额一样硬。我要使你的额比火石更硬，如同金刚石。他们虽然是一群叛逆的人，你不要害怕，也不要因为他们的脸色而惊慌。”

耶和华的天使对以利亚说：“不要害怕，跟他去吧！”以利亚就起来跟他去见王。

邪恶像燃烧的火焰，焚毁荆棘和蒺藜，点燃密林，烟柱旋转上腾。

那些只能杀害身体，不能毁灭灵魂的人，不用怕他们。但要畏惧那位有权将身体和灵魂一同毁灭在地狱里的上帝。

同时，我要使你的舌头紧贴上膛，使你不能开口责备他们，因为他们是一群叛逆的人。但当我对你说话的时候，我必开启你的口，你要向他们宣告，‘主耶和华这样说。’肯听的就让他听，不肯听的就由他不听，因为他们是一群叛逆的人。”

毫不惧怕敌人的恐吓。这清楚表明他们必灭亡，你们必得救，这是出于上帝。

伯特利的祭司亚玛谢派人告诉以色列王耶罗波安：“阿摩司在以色列家图谋背叛你，我们国家无法容忍他的言论。因为阿摩司这样说，‘耶罗波安将丧身刀下，以色列人必被掳去，远离家乡。’”亚玛谢对我说：“先见啊，走吧！逃回犹大去吧！你要在那里挣吃的，在那里说预言。不可再在伯特利说预言，这里是王的圣所，是国庙。”我答道：“我本不是先知，也不是先知的门徒。我只是一个牧人，也替人看护桑树。但耶和华不再让我看守羊群，祂对我说，‘去！向我的以色列子民说预言。’亚玛谢啊，你说，‘不要说攻击以色列的预言，不要传讲攻击以撒子孙的信息。’现在你要听耶和华对你说的话。耶和华说，‘你的妻子必在这城里沦为妓女，你的儿女必丧身刀下，你的田地必被人丈量、瓜分，你自己必死在异乡。以色列人必被掳去，远离家乡。’”

在场的人看到彼得和约翰的胆量，又知道他们原是没有学问的平民百姓，都很惊奇。他们认出这些人跟随过耶稣，

主啊，你看他们这样恐吓我们，求你帮助你的奴仆们坦然无惧地传你的道。

至于我，因有耶和华的灵，我充满权能、正义和力量，能向雅各宣告他的过犯，向以色列宣告他的罪恶。

“‘藐视以色列人的邻邦必不再作刺他们的荆棘，伤他们的蒺藜，这样人们就知道我是主耶和华。’

他们说：“来！我们设计对付耶利米吧，反正我们有祭司教导律法，有智者出谋划策，有先知传讲预言。来吧！我们抨击他，不要理会他的话。”

但恶人要像荆棘一样被丢弃，没人用手碰他们，人要拿铁器和长矛把他们收集起来焚毁。”

但彼得和约翰答道：“要我们听从你们而不听从上帝，这在上帝看来合理吗？你们自己想想吧。

有蝗虫从烟里飞出来，落到地上，有地上蝎子的能力赐给它们。它们得到命令，不得毁坏地上的青草、树木和其他植物，只伤害额上没有上帝印记的人，但不可杀死他们，只折磨他们五个月。那种折磨就像被蝎子蛰到一样。那时候，人求死，却求不到；想死，死却躲避他们。

认识公义、铭记我训诲的人啊，听我说。你们不要害怕人的辱骂，也不要畏惧他们的毁谤。

他们顽固不化，如铜如铁，四处毁谤，极其败坏。
