保罗和巴拿巴却放胆说：“神的道，先讲给你们听，是应该的。但因为你们弃绝这道，断定自己不配得永生，所以我们现在就转向外族人去了。

如果我没有来，也没有对他们讲过什么，他们就没有罪；但现在他们的罪是无可推诿的了。

到他家里的时候，要向他们问安；如果这家是配得的，你们的平安就必临到他们；如果这家不配得，你们的平安仍归你们。如果有人不接待你们，不听你们的话，你们离开那一家那一城的时候，就要把脚上的灰尘跺下去。我实在告诉你们，在审判的日子，所多玛和蛾摩拉所受的，比那城还轻呢。

他们或听或不听，你只要把我的话告诉他们，他们原是叛逆的。

因为无论在得救的人或灭亡的人中间，我们都是基督的馨香，是献给神的。对于灭亡的人，这是死亡的气味叫人死；对于得救的人，这却是生命的香气使人活。这些事谁够资格作呢？我们不像那许多的人，为了图利而谬讲神的道。相反地，我们讲话，是出于真诚，出于神，是在神面前、在基督里的。

即使有人不信，又有什么关系呢？难道他们的不信会使神的信实无效吗？

如果你警告恶人，叫他离开他所行的，他仍不转离，他就必因自己的罪孽死亡，你却救了自己的性命。

无论进哪一城，人若不接待你们，你们就出来到街上，说：‘连你们城里那黏在我们脚上的尘土，我们也要当着你们擦去。虽然这样，你们应该知道：神的国临近了！’我告诉你们，当那日，所多玛所受的，比那城所受的还轻呢。

他又对我说：“人子啊！我对你说的一切话，你都要留心听，记在心里。你去，到被掳的人民那里，向他们宣讲；他们或听或不听，你只要对他们说：‘主耶和华这样说。’”
