Rid yourselves of all the offenses you have committed, and get a new heart and a new spirit. Why will you die, people of Israel?

Get rid of all the evil things you have done. Let me give you a new heart and a new spirit. Then you will be faithful to me. Why should you die, people of Israel?

Put all your rebellion behind you, and find yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. For why should you die, O people of Israel?

For if you live after the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

I call heaven and earth to witness against you today that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. Therefore choose life, that you may live, you and your descendants,

Tell them,‘“ As I live,” says the Lord Yahweh,“ I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn from your evil ways! For why will you die, house of Israel?”’

Putting away therefore all wickedness, all deceit, hypocrisies, envies, and all evil speaking,

I said to them,‘ Each of you throw away the abominations of his eyes. Don’t defile yourselves with the idols of Egypt. I am Yahweh your God.’

Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts. Let him return to Yahweh, and he will have mercy on him, to our God, for he will freely pardon.

Put to death therefore your members which are on the earth: sexual immorality, uncleanness, depraved passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.For these things’ sake the wrath of God comes on the children of disobedience.You also once walked in those, when you lived in them;but now you also put them all away: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and shameful speaking out of your mouth.Don’t lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old man with his doings,

I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear me forever, for their good, and the good of their children after them.

Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well- pleasing, and perfect will of God.

Behold, I have set before you today life and prosperity, and death and evil.

Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners. Purify your hearts, you double- minded.

Seeing you have purified your souls in your obedience to the truth through the Spirit in sincere brotherly affection, love one another from the heart fervently,

“ Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of the Lord,

For I have not sent them,” says Yahweh,“ but they prophesy falsely in my name; that I may drive you out, and that you may perish, you, and the prophets who prophesy to you.”

You blind Pharisee, first clean the inside of the cup and of the platter, that its outside may become clean also.

that you no longer should live the rest of your time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.For we have spent enough of our past time doing the desire of the Gentiles, and having walked in lewdness, lusts, drunken binges, orgies, carousings, and abominable idolatries.They think it is strange that you don’t run with them into the same excess of riot, blaspheming.

as children of obedience, not conforming yourselves according to your former lusts as in your ignorance,

You shall defile the overlaying of your engraved images of silver, and the plating of your molten images of gold. You shall cast them away as an unclean thing. You shall tell it,“ Go away!”

Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly, and said,“ It was necessary that God’s word should be spoken to you first. Since indeed you thrust it from yourselves, and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold, we turn to the Gentiles.

“ You shall say to this people,‘ Yahweh says:“ Behold, I set before you the way of life and the way of death.

Depart from evil, and do good. Seek peace, and pursue it.

that you put away, as concerning your former way of life, the old man that grows corrupt after the lusts of deceit,and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind,and put on the new man, who in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of truth.Therefore putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor. For we are members of one another.“ Be angry, and don’t sin.” Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath,and don’t give place to the devil.Let him who stole steal no more; but rather let him labor, producing with his hands something that is good, that he may have something to give to him who has need.Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building others up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear.Don’t grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice.And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you.

Therefore, putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness, receive with humility the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.

“ Either make the tree good, and its fruit good, or make the tree corrupt, and its fruit corrupt; for the tree is known by its fruit.

But he who sins against me wrongs his own soul. All those who hate me love death.”
