主天主曰、以色列族歟、我必循爾人人所行以鞫爾、爾當悛改愆尤、恐愆尤罹爾喪敗、爾當悛改愆尤恐愆尤罹爾喪敗或作爾當悛改離爾罪愆恐爾愆尤陷爾於禍

“ But if the wicked person turns from all the sins he has committed, keeps all my statutes, and does what is just and right, he will certainly live; he will not die.

No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all perish as well.

But you must return to your God. Maintain love and justice, and always put your hope in God.

“ Therefore, say to the house of Israel,‘ This is what the Lord GOD says: Repent and turn away from your idols; turn your faces away from all your detestable things.

The end is now upon you; I will send my anger against you and judge you according to your ways. I will punish you for all your detestable practices.

Even now— this is the LORD’s declaration— turn to me with all your heart, with fasting, weeping, and mourning.Tear your hearts, not just your clothes, and return to the LORD your God. For he is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger, abounding in faithful love, and he relents from sending disaster.

and saying,“ Repent, because the kingdom of heaven has come near!”

For the Son of Man is going to come with his angels in the glory of his Father, and then he will reward each according to what he has done.

Yet you say,“ The Lord’s way isn’t fair.” I will judge each of you according to his ways, house of Israel.’”

Tell them,‘ As I live— this is the declaration of the Lord GOD— I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that the wicked person should turn from his way and live. Repent, repent of your evil ways! Why will you die, house of Israel?’

Because of your hardened and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for yourself in the day of wrath, when God’s righteous judgment is revealed.

For God will bring every act to judgment, including every hidden thing, whether good or evil.

Therefore produce fruit consistent with repentance.

If you appeal to the Father who judges impartially according to each one’s work, you are to conduct yourselves in reverence during your time living as strangers.

So you will again see the difference between the righteous and the wicked, between one who serves God and one who does not serve him.

Let each person examine his own work, and then he can take pride in himself alone, and not compare himself with someone else.For each person will have to carry his own load.

I gave her time to repent, but she does not want to repent of her sexual immorality.Look, I will throw her into a sickbed and those who commit adultery with her into great affliction. Just as it is written in the law of Moses, all this disaster has come on us, yet we have not sought the favor of the LORD our God by turning from our iniquities and paying attention to your truth.
