因为他醒悟过来，痛改前非，必能活着，不致死亡。

Because they consider all the offenses they have committed and turn away from them, that person will surely live; they will not die.

They think about all the evil things they have done. And they turn away from them. So you can be sure they will live. They will not die.

我思想自己走过的路，就决定归向你的法度。

我重视你的一切命令，便不致羞愧。

人只要触犯律法中的一条，就等于违犯了全部，因为那位说“不可通奸”的，也说过“不可杀人”。如果你没有犯通奸罪，却杀了人，你仍违犯了律法。既然你们要按使人自由的律法受审判，就应该按律法行事为人。

所以，你们要治死身上属世的罪恶，如淫乱、污秽、邪情、恶欲和贪心，贪心就是拜偶像，因为上帝的烈怒必临到做这些事的悖逆之人。你们过去也和他们一样过着罪恶的生活，但现在必须杜绝这一切的恶事，如怒气、愤恨、恶毒、毁谤和污言秽语。不要彼此说谎，因为你们已经脱去了旧人和旧的行为，

“倘若这不肖子有一个好儿子，他看见父亲的所作所为，不愿步父亲的后尘。

我听见以法莲在为自己悲叹，‘我们就像未经驯服的牛犊，你管教我们，使我们顺服，求你使我们回到你身边，重新复兴，因为你是我们的上帝耶和华。我们曾经离开你，但我们后悔了；我们醒悟之后捶胸顿足，痛悔不已，因早年的所作所为而羞愧难当。’”耶和华说：“以法莲不是我的爱子吗？他不是我喜悦的孩子吗？我虽然常常责备他，但仍然惦记着他。我深深地想念他，我必怜悯他。

你们要离弃从前所有的罪恶，洗心革面。以色列人啊！你们何必走向灭亡呢？’

行为正直、遵行耶和华律法的人有福了！

人子啊，你要对你的同胞说，‘当义人犯罪时，他以往的义救不了他；当恶人悔改时，他以往的恶不会使他灭没。义人若犯罪，他以往的义不能使他存活。’

如果他们有智慧，就能明白这一切、知道自己的结局。

所以，人子啊，你要准备流亡的行装，在白天当着他们的面从你住的地方搬到别处。他们虽然叛逆，或许还会明白其中的意思。

撒母耳对他们说：“如果你们全心归向耶和华，就要除掉你们那些外族的神明，包括亚斯她录神像，一心归向耶和华，单单事奉祂，祂必从非利士人手中救你们。”于是，他们除掉了巴力和亚斯她录神像，单单事奉耶和华。

主耶稣为我们牺牲自己，要救赎我们脱离一切罪恶，并洁净我们，使我们做祂的子民，成为热心行善的人。

最后，他醒悟过来，心想，‘在我父亲家里，连雇工的口粮都绰绰有余，我现在却要在这里饿死吗？我要动身回到我父亲身边，对他说，父亲，我得罪了天，也得罪了你，

“恶人若肯痛改前非，遵守我的律例，秉公行义，就必活着，不致死亡。
