“ Yet you say,‘ The way of the Lord is not fair.’ Hear now, O house of Israel, is it not My way which is fair, and your ways which are not fair?

「你們還說：『主的道不公平！』以色列家啊，你們當聽，我的道豈不公平嗎？你們的道豈不是不公平嗎？

「你們卻說：『主的道不公平！』以色列家啊，你們要聽，我的道不公平嗎？你們的道不是不公平嗎？

「你們卻說：『主的道不公平！』以色列家啊，你們要聽，我的道不公平嗎？你們的道不是不公平嗎？

「你們說，主這樣做不公平。以色列人啊，你們聽著，是我的做法不公平呢？還是你們的做法不公平呢？

“你們還說：‘主所行的不公平。’以色列家啊，你們要聽！我所行的哪裡不公平呢？豈不是你們所行的不公平嗎？

『你們還說：「主所行的不公正。」以色列家啊，你們要聽！我所行的哪裏是不公正呢？豈不是你們所行的不公正麼？

惟爾曹云、主道不公、以色列家其聽之、我之道、豈非公乎、爾之道、豈非不公乎、

爾言我耶和華所行、不尚正直、以色列族宜聽我言、我所行者、惟秉大公、爾所為者、尚存偏頗。

爾曹猶言主之道不公平、不公平或作不相宜下同以色列族聽歟、我之道豈不公平、惟爾曹之道不公平、

“ Yet you say,‘ The way of the Lord is not just.’ Hear, you Israelites: Is my way unjust? Is it not your ways that are unjust?

“ But you say,‘ What the Lord does isn’t fair.’ Listen to me, you Israelites. What I do is always fair. What you do is not.

“ Yet you say,‘ The way of the Lord is not just.’ Hear now, O house of Israel: Is my way not just? Is it not your ways that are not just?

“ Yet you say,‘ The Lord isn’t doing what’s right!’ Listen to me, O people of Israel. Am I the one not doing what’s right, or is it you?

“ But you say,‘ The Lord’s way isn’t fair.’ Now listen, house of Israel: Is it my way that is unfair? Instead, isn’t it your ways that are unfair?

Yet you say,‘ The way of the Lord is not right.’ Hear now, house of Israel! Is My way not right? Is it not your ways that are not right?

Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. Hear now, O house of Israel: Is not my way equal? are not your ways unequal?

“ But you say,‘ The Lord’s way isn’t fair.’ Now listen, house of Israel: Is it My way that is unfair? Instead, isn’t it your ways that are unfair?

Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. Hear now, O house of Israel; Is not my way equal? are not your ways unequal?

“ Yet you say,‘ The Lord’s conduct is unjust!’ Hear, O house of Israel: Is my conduct unjust? Is it not your conduct that is unjust?

“ Yet you say,‘ The way of the Lord is not equal.’ Hear now, house of Israel: Is my way not equal? Aren’t your ways unequal?

“ Your words have been harsh against Me,” Says the Lord,“ Yet you say,‘ What have we spoken against You?’You have said,‘ It is useless to serve God; What profit is it that we have kept His ordinance, And that we have walked as mourners Before the Lord of hosts?So now we call the proud blessed, For those who do wickedness are raised up; They even tempt God and go free.’”

“ Yet the children of your people say,‘ The way of the Lord is not fair.’ But it is their way which is not fair!

Far be it from You to do such a thing as this, to slay the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous should be as the wicked; far be it from You! Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?”

Righteous are You, O Lord, when I plead with You; Yet let me talk with You about Your judgments. Why does the way of the wicked prosper? Why are those happy who deal so treacherously?

Yet you say,‘ The way of the Lord is not fair.’ O house of Israel, I will judge every one of you according to his own ways.”

You have wearied the Lord with your words; Yet you say,“ In what way have we wearied Him?” In that you say,“ Everyone who does evil Is good in the sight of the Lord, And He delights in them,” Or,“ Where is the God of justice?”

The Lord is righteous in her midst, He will do no unrighteousness. Every morning He brings His justice to light; He never fails, But the unjust knows no shame.

Yet the house of Israel says,‘ The way of the Lord is not fair.’ O house of Israel, is it not My ways which are fair, and your ways which are not fair?

He is the Rock, His work is perfect; For all His ways are justice, A God of truth and without injustice; Righteous and upright is He.

But indeed, O man, who are you to reply against God? Will the thing formed say to him who formed it,“ Why have you made me like this?”

Let the heavens declare His righteousness, For God Himself is Judge. Selah

Listen, please, and let me speak; You said,‘ I will question you, and you shall answer Me.’“ I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear, But now my eye sees You.Therefore I abhor myself, And repent in dust and ashes.”

But if our unrighteousness demonstrates the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unjust who inflicts wrath?( I speak as a man.)

Have you not brought this on yourself, In that you have forsaken the Lord your God When He led you in the way?And now why take the road to Egypt, To drink the waters of Sihor? Or why take the road to Assyria, To drink the waters of the River?Your own wickedness will correct you, And your backslidings will rebuke you. Know therefore and see that it is an evil and bitter thing That you have forsaken the Lord your God, And the fear of Me is not in you,” Says the Lord GOD of hosts.“ For of old I have broken your yoke and burst your bonds; And you said,‘ I will not transgress,’ When on every high hill and under every green tree You lay down, playing the harlot.Yet I had planted you a noble vine, a seed of highest quality. How then have you turned before Me Into the degenerate plant of an alien vine?For though you wash yourself with lye, and use much soap, Yet your iniquity is marked before Me,” says the Lord GOD.“ How can you say,‘ I am not polluted, I have not gone after the Baals’? See your way in the valley; Know what you have done: You are a swift dromedary breaking loose in her ways,

The Lord is righteous in all His ways, Gracious in all His works.

“ Would you indeed annul My judgment? Would you condemn Me that you may be justified?

“ Do you think this is right? Do you say,‘ My righteousness is more than God’s’?

And when they had received it, they complained against the landowner,saying,‘ These last men have worked only one hour, and you made them equal to us who have borne the burden and the heat of the day.’But he answered one of them and said,‘ Friend, I am doing you no wrong. Did you not agree with me for a denarius?Take what is yours and go your way. I wish to give to this last man the same as to you.Is it not lawful for me to do what I wish with my own things? Or is your eye evil because I am good?’

Then the wrath of Elihu, the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the family of Ram, was aroused against Job; his wrath was aroused because he justified himself rather than God.

These things you have done, and I kept silent; You thought that I was altogether like you; But I will rebuke you, And set them in order before your eyes.

Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

“ For Job has said,‘ I am righteous, But God has taken away my justice;Should I lie concerning my right? My wound is incurable, though I am without transgression.’What man is like Job, Who drinks scorn like water,Who goes in company with the workers of iniquity, And walks with wicked men?For he has said,‘ It profits a man nothing That he should delight in God.’“ Therefore listen to me, you men of understanding: Far be it from God to do wickedness, And from the Almighty to commit iniquity.

“ Why will you plead with Me? You all have transgressed against Me,” says the Lord.“ In vain I have chastened your children; They received no correction. Your sword has devoured your prophets Like a destroying lion.“ O generation, see the word of the Lord! Have I been a wilderness to Israel, Or a land of darkness? Why do My people say,‘ We are lords; We will come no more to You’?Can a virgin forget her ornaments, Or a bride her attire? Yet My people have forgotten Me days without number.“ Why do you beautify your way to seek love? Therefore you have also taught The wicked women your ways.Also on your skirts is found The blood of the lives of the poor innocents. I have not found it by secret search, But plainly on all these things.Yet you say,‘ Because I am innocent, Surely His anger shall turn from me.’ Behold, I will plead My case against you, Because you say,‘ I have not sinned.’Why do you gad about so much to change your way? Also you shall be ashamed of Egypt as you were ashamed of Assyria.Indeed you will go forth from him With your hands on your head; For the Lord has rejected your trusted allies, And you will not prosper by them.

“ And it shall be, when you show this people all these words, and they say to you,‘ Why has the Lord pronounced all this great disaster against us? Or what is our iniquity? Or what is our sin that we have committed against the Lord our God?’then you shall say to them,‘ Because your fathers have forsaken Me,’ says the Lord;‘ they have walked after other gods and have served them and worshiped them, and have forsaken Me and not kept My law.And you have done worse than your fathers, for behold, each one follows the dictates of his own evil heart, so that no one listens to Me.Therefore I will cast you out of this land into a land that you do not know, neither you nor your fathers; and there you shall serve other gods day and night, where I will not show you favor.’

For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God.

But in accordance with your hardness and your impenitent heart you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God,who“ will render to each one according to his deeds”:
