如義人轉離其義而行惡、效惡人行可惡之事、豈得生存乎、其所行之義、不復見憶、必死於其所蹈之愆、所犯之罪、

如善人去善就惡、行諸不義、我所痛疾者、豈得保生乎、其所行之善、不復追憶、既犯罪作惡、必使之亡。

如善人離善作惡、循惡人所行諸可憎之事而行、豈得生存乎、其所行之諸善、不復追憶、必因所作之慝、所犯之罪死亡、

“ But if a righteous person turns from their righteousness and commits sin and does the same detestable things the wicked person does, will they live? None of the righteous things that person has done will be remembered. Because of the unfaithfulness they are guilty of and because of the sins they have committed, they will die.

“ Suppose a godly person stops doing what is right. And they sin. They do the same evil things a sinful person does. They do things I hate. Then they will not live. I will not remember any of the right things they have done. They have not been faithful to me. They have also committed many other sins. So they are guilty. They will die.

But when a righteous person turns away from his righteousness and does injustice and does the same abominations that the wicked person does, shall he live? None of the righteous deeds that he has done shall be remembered; for the treachery of which he is guilty and the sin he has committed, for them he shall die.

However, if righteous people turn from their righteous behavior and start doing sinful things and act like other sinners, should they be allowed to live? No, of course not! All their righteous acts will be forgotten, and they will die for their sins.

But when a righteous person turns from his righteousness and acts unjustly, committing the same detestable acts that the wicked do, will he live? None of the righteous acts he did will be remembered. He will die because of the treachery he has engaged in and the sin he has committed.

“ But when a righteous person turns away from his righteousness, commits injustice and does according to all the abominations that the wicked person does, will he live? All his righteous deeds which he has done will not be remembered for his treachery which he has committed and his sin which he has committed; for them he will die.

“ But when a righteous man turns away from his righteousness and commits iniquity, and does according to all the abominations that the wicked man does, shall he live? All the righteousness which he has done shall not be remembered; because of the unfaithfulness of which he is guilty and the sin which he has committed, because of them he shall die.

But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? None of his righteous deeds that he hath done shall be remembered: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die.

But when a righteous person turns from his righteousness and practices iniquity, committing the same detestable acts that the wicked do, will he live? None of the righteous acts he did will be remembered. He will die because of the treachery he has engaged in and the sin he has committed.

But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity,[ and] doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked[ man] doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die.

“ But if a righteous man turns away from his righteousness and practices wrongdoing according to all the abominable practices the wicked carry out, will he live? All his righteous acts will not be remembered; because of the unfaithful acts he has done and the sin he has committed, he will die.

“ But when the righteous turns away from his righteousness, and commits iniquity, and does according to all the abominations that the wicked man does, should he live? None of his righteous deeds that he has done will be remembered. In his trespass that he has trespassed, and in his sin that he has sinned, in them he shall die.

義人轉離自己的義作惡，他必因此而死亡。

人偏離智慧的路，必與陰魂為伍。

耶何耶大祭司在世的日子，約阿施行耶和華眼中看為正的事。

義人若轉離義行而作惡，他就因這些惡而死亡。他要死在他所作的惡中。

耶何耶大死後，猶大的眾領袖來叩拜王，那時王就聽了他們。他們離棄耶和華－他們列祖上帝的殿，去事奉亞舍拉和偶像；因他們這罪，就有憤怒臨到猶大和耶路撒冷。但上帝仍差遣先知到他們那裏，引導他們歸向耶和華。先知警戒他們，他們卻不肯聽。那時，上帝的靈感動耶何耶大的兒子撒迦利亞祭司，他就站在上面，對百姓說：「上帝如此說：『你們為何干犯耶和華的誡命，以致不得亨通呢？因為你們離棄耶和華，所以他也離棄你們。』」眾人謀害撒迦利亞，照着王的吩咐，在耶和華殿的院內用石頭打死他。這樣，約阿施王不記念撒迦利亞的父親耶何耶大向自己所施的恩，殺了他的兒子。撒迦利亞臨死的時候說：「願耶和華鑒察伸冤！」

人子啊，你要對本國的百姓說：義人的義，在他犯罪之日不能救他；至於惡人的惡，在他轉離惡行之日不會使他傾倒；義人在他犯罪之日不能因自己的義存活。我對義人說：『你必存活！』他若倚靠自己的義作惡，所行的義就不被記念；他必因所作的惡死亡。

「我立掃羅為王，我感到遺憾，因為他轉去不跟從我，不遵守我的命令。」撒母耳就很生氣，終夜哀求耶和華。

我怕我再來的時候，見你們不合我所期望的，而你們見我也不合你們所期望的。我怕有紛爭、嫉妒、憤怒、自私、毀謗、讒言、狂傲、動亂的事。我怕我再來的時候，我的上帝使我在你們面前蒙羞，並且又因許多人從前犯罪，行污穢、淫亂、放蕩的事，不肯悔改而悲傷。

你們向來跑得好，誰攔阻了你們，使你們不順從真理呢？

「他若生了兒子，兒子作強盜，流人的血，作父親的雖然未犯此過，兒子卻對弟兄行了以上所說的惡，在山上吃祭物，污辱鄰舍的妻；

所以我對你們說，你們會死在自己的罪中，你們若不信我就是那位，就會死在自己的罪中。」

人若看見弟兄犯了不至於死的罪，就要為他祈求，上帝必將生命賜給他－有些人犯的罪是不至於死的；有的是至於死的罪，我不是說要為這罪祈求。一切不義的事都是罪，但也有不至於死的罪。我們知道，凡從上帝生的，必不犯罪；從上帝生的那一位，必保守他，那邪惡者無法加害於他。

而且你們要為我的名被眾人憎恨。但堅忍到底的終必得救。」

他們說虛妄誇大的話，用肉體的情慾和淫蕩的事引誘那些剛脫離錯謬生活的人。他們應許人自由，自己卻作了腐敗的奴隸，因為人被誰制伏就是誰的奴隸。倘若他們因認識我們的主和救主耶穌基督而得以脫離世上的污穢，後來又被污穢纏住，被制伏，他們末後的景況就比先前更不好了。他們知道義路，竟背棄了傳授給他們那神聖的誡命，倒不如不知道為妙。俗語說得好，這話正印證在他們身上了：「狗轉過來吃自己所吐的；」又說：「豬洗淨了，又回到爛泥裏打滾。」

他所犯的一切罪過都不被記念；他因所行的義，必要存活。

至於那偏行彎曲道路的人，耶和華必將他們和作惡的人一同驅逐出去。願平安歸於以色列！

這樣的人是你們愛筵上的污點；他們無所懼怕地同你們宴樂，彷彿牧人只顧餵飽自己。他們是無雨的浮雲，被風飄蕩；是秋天沒有果子的樹，死而又死，連根被拔出來；

他們既然故意不認識上帝，上帝就任憑他們存扭曲的心，做那些不該做的事，裝滿了各樣不義、邪惡、貪婪、惡毒，滿心是嫉妒、兇殺、紛爭、詭詐、毒恨，又是毀謗的、說人壞話的、怨恨上帝的、侮辱人的、狂傲的、自誇的、製造是非的、忤逆父母的、頑梗不化的、言而無信的、無情無義的、不憐憫人的。

在那日必有許多人對我說：『主啊，主啊，我們不是奉你的名傳道，奉你的名趕鬼，奉你的名行許多異能嗎？』我要向他們宣告：『我從來不認識你們，你們這些作惡的人，給我走開！』」

並那些轉去不跟從耶和華，不尋求耶和華，也不求問他的。」

我必快來，你要持守你所有的，免得人奪去你的冠冕。

撒在石頭地上的，就是人聽了道，立刻歡喜領受，只因心裏沒有根，不過是暫時的，一旦為道遭受患難或迫害，立刻就跌倒。

如果我們領受真理的知識以後仍故意犯罪，就不再有贖罪的祭物，惟有戰戰兢兢等候審判和那將吞滅眾敵人的烈火了。任何人干犯摩西的律法，憑兩個或三個證人，尚且必須處死，不得寬赦，更何況踐踏上帝兒子的人，他們將那使他成聖之約的血當作不潔淨，又褻慢施恩的聖靈的人，你們想，他不該受更嚴厲的懲罰嗎？因為我們知道誰說：「伸冤在我，我必報應。」又說：「主要審判他的百姓。」落在永生上帝的手裏真是可怕呀！

「污靈離了人身，走遍無水之地尋找安歇之處，卻找不到。於是他說：『我要回到我原來的屋裏去。』他到了，看見裏面空着，打掃乾淨，修飾好了，就去另帶了七個比自己更惡的靈來，都進去住在那裏。那人後來的景況比先前更壞了。這邪惡的世代也要如此。」

論到那些已經蒙了光照、嘗過天恩的滋味、又於聖靈有份、並嘗過上帝的話的美味，和來世權能的人，若再離棄真道，就不可能使他們重新懊悔了；因為他們親自把上帝的兒子重釘十字架，公然羞辱他。

從此，他門徒中有很多退卻了，不再和他同行。耶穌就對那十二使徒說：「你們也要離開嗎？」西門‧彼得回答他：「主啊，你有永生之道，我們還跟從誰呢？我們已經信了，又知道你是上帝的聖者。」耶穌回答他們：「我不是揀選了你們十二個嗎？但你們中間有一個是魔鬼。」

「人子啊，你要告訴以色列家，對他們說，主耶和華如此說：你們的祖先在背叛我的事上再次褻瀆了我；

只是我的義人必因信得生；他若退縮，我心就不喜歡他。」我們卻不是退縮以致沉淪的那等人，而是有信心以致得生命的人。

你將要受的苦，你不用怕。看哪！魔鬼要把你們中間幾個人下在監裏，使你們受考驗，你們要遭受苦難十日。你務要至死忠心，我就賜給你那生命的冠冕。

他們從我們中間出去，卻不是屬我們的，若是屬我們的，就必仍舊與我們同在。他們出去，這就顯明他們都不是屬我們的。

他口中的言語盡是罪孽詭詐，他不再有智慧，也不再行善。他在床上圖謀罪孽，定意行不善的道，不憎惡惡事。

但是義人若轉離他的義而作惡，我要把絆腳石放在他面前，他必死亡；因你沒有警戒他，他必死在罪中，他素來所行的義不被記念；我卻要從你手裏討他的血債。倘若你警戒義人，使他不犯罪，他就不犯罪；他因領受警戒就必存活，你也救了自己的命。」

你該知道，末世必有艱難的日子來到。那時人會專愛自己，貪愛錢財，自誇，狂傲，毀謗，違背父母，忘恩負義，心不聖潔，沒有親情，抗拒和解，好說讒言，不能節制，性情兇暴，不愛良善，賣主賣友，任意妄為，自高自大，愛好宴樂，不愛上帝，有敬虔的外貌，卻背棄了敬虔的實質，這等人你要避開。

你們受這麼多的苦都是徒然的嗎？如果真是徒然的，

至於他父親，因為施行欺壓，搶奪弟兄，在百姓中行不善，看哪，他必因自己的罪孽死亡。

於是耶穌又對他們說：「我去了，你們會找我，而你們會死在自己的罪中；我所去的地方，你們不能去。」

惡人因所行的惡必被推倒；義人臨死，有所投靠。
