For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people.And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. Zechariah and Elizabeth were righteous in God’s eyes, careful to obey all of the Lord’s commandments and regulations.

For if you live by its dictates, you will die. But if through the power of the Spirit you put to death the deeds of your sinful nature, you will live.

Seek the Lord while you can find him. Call on him now while he is near.Let the wicked change their ways and banish the very thought of doing wrong. Let them turn to the Lord that he may have mercy on them. Yes, turn to our God, for he will forgive generously.

And I will put my Spirit in you so that you will follow my decrees and be careful to obey my regulations.

Just as the body is dead without breath, so also faith is dead without good works.

What good is it, dear brothers and sisters, if you say you have faith but don’t show it by your actions? Can that kind of faith save anyone?
