The one who sins is the one who will die. The child will not share the guilt of the parent, nor will the parent share the guilt of the child. The righteousness of the righteous will be credited to them, and the wickedness of the wicked will be charged against them.

A person will die because of their own sins. A child will not be guilty because of what their parent did. And a parent will not be guilty because of what their child did. The right things a godly person does will be added to their account. The wrong things a sinful person does will be charged against them.

The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not suffer for the iniquity of the father, nor the father suffer for the iniquity of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself.

求你在天上垂聽，有所施行，判斷你的僕人，定惡人有罪，照他所行的還報在他頭上；定無罪的人有理，照他的理直賞報他。

那時他必照各人的行為報應各人：對依行善之堅忍去尋求榮耀尊貴和不朽的人呢、是永生；對於營私爭勝、硬不順服真理、反而順服不義的人呢、是上帝公義的震怒。又有苦難困迫、加給一切厲行惡事的血氣人，先猶太人，而後希利尼人；

當那些日子、人必不再說：「父親喫了酸葡萄，兒子的牙就酸倒了。」不，各人的死，必須因自己的罪孽而死；各人喫酸葡萄的，只有他自己的牙會酸倒。

永恆主對亞倫說：『你和你兒子們、跟你父系的家屬都要和你一同擔當可能干犯聖所的罪罰；你和你兒子們也要和你一同擔當可能干犯祭司職任的罪罰。

我看見死了的人、大的小的、都站在寶座前：案卷都展開了。另有一卷是生命冊、也展開了。死了的人、都從這些案卷所記的、照他們所行的受審判。

我必以死亡擊殺她的兒女；眾教會就知道我是探索透人肺腑腎腸的；我必照你們的行為將各人所應得的報給你們。

至於差遣你們來尋問永恆主的那猶大王、你們要這樣對他說：永恆主以色列的上帝這麼說：論到你所聽見的話，你一聽見我指着這地方和這地方的居民所說的話說，要使這地成了令人驚駭、令人咒詛的對象，你的心便軟了下來，你就在我永恆主面前自己謙卑，又撕裂了衣服，又在我面前哭，因此我也垂聽你的禱告；這是永恆主發神諭說的。所以你看吧，我必將你收殮歸你列祖；使你安安然然被收殮歸入墳墓。我所要降於這地方的一切災禍、你也不至於親眼看到。」』聽完了之後，他們就將這話回覆了王。

義人有福啊！他們有好處，因為他們必喫他們行為的果子。惡人有禍啊！他有災難，因為他的手作甚麼，就有甚麼報給他。

人子將要帶着他父的榮耀同他的天使來臨，那時他必照各人的行為報應各人。

『人子啊，你要對以色列家說；你們常說：「我們的過犯罪惡老在我們身上；我們必在罪過中消削淨盡；怎能活着呢？」

他受了致命苦難以後、必得見光明；他必心滿意足、因知自己無罪，我的僕人必使許多人得稱為無罪；他們的罪罰是他要背負的。

求你從天上垂聽，有所施行，判斷你的僕人，報應無理的人，照他所行的還報在他頭上；定無罪的人有理，照他的理直賞報他。

『你看吧，我必快來；我的賞報在我這兒；我必照各人所行的報應各人。我是阿拉法，是俄梅戛：是首先，是末後；是起初，是末終。』那些洗自己袍子、好得權柄享受生命樹、好得由門進城的人、有福啊！外面呢、卻有那些犬類、那些行邪術的、做男倡或嫖妓的、做兇手的、拜偶像的、和一切喜愛虛謊、行虛謊的人。

『倘若有人犯罪、聽見誓囑或是誓求的聲音，雖能做見證——無論是看見甚麼、或是知道甚麼——卻不說出來，他就要擔當他的罪罰。

『若有人在永恆主所吩咐不可行的事上犯了罪，去行其一件，他雖不知道，還是有罪責；他必須擔當他的罪罰。

基督也這樣；基督也是只有一次之被供獻、來擔當許多人的罪。將來還要顯現個第二次、卻是與罪無關，是要向切候着他的人施拯救的。

為了利息他把錢借給人，以索取物資利——這樣的人哪能活着呢？他必不能活着；他行了這一切可厭惡之事，他必須死；流他血的罪必歸到他自己身上。

他以自己的身體在木架上親自背上我們的罪，使我們既跟罪割死，就得以向義而活。因着他受的鞭傷、你們就得了醫治。

喫的人要擔當他的罪罰，因為他褻瀆了永恆主的聖物；那人必須從他族人中被剪除。

求你從天上你居住之定所垂聽而赦免；你必照各人所行的報應各人；各人的心你都知道；因為只有你知道人類的心；

『所以主永恆主發神諭說：以色列家啊，我要判罰你們，各照各人所行的。回轉吧！轉離你們一切的罪過吧！免得罪過成了你們陷於罪罰中的因由。

以色列眾人必為他舉哀，將他埋葬；因為屬耶羅波安的人、惟有他得入墳墓，因為在耶羅波安家中、只見他對永恆主以色列的上帝、有可喜悅之處。

『你要向左邊躺着，擔當以色列家的罪罰；要按你向左邊躺臥的日數擔當他們的罪罰。

『這解罪祭既是至聖的，主又將那祭品給了你們、去擔當會眾的罪罰、而在永恆主面前為他們行除罪禮，你們為甚麼沒有在聖的地方喫呢？

那公山羊身上要擔當他們一切的罪罰到個隔絕之地；他就把那公山羊放在曠野裏。
