The one who sins is the one who will die. The child will not share the guilt of the parent, nor will the parent share the guilt of the child. The righteousness of the righteous will be credited to them, and the wickedness of the wicked will be charged against them.

A person will die because of their own sins. A child will not be guilty because of what their parent did. And a parent will not be guilty because of what their child did. The right things a godly person does will be added to their account. The wrong things a sinful person does will be charged against them.

The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not suffer for the iniquity of the father, nor the father suffer for the iniquity of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself.

求你在天上垂聽，採取行動，審判你的僕人，定惡人有罪，使他所行的，都歸到他自己的頭上。定義人有理，照著他的公義賞賜他。

神必照各人所作的報應各人：以永生報答那些耐心行善、尋求榮耀尊貴和不朽的人，卻以震怒和憤恨報應那些自私自利、不順從真理而順從不義的人；把患難和愁苦加給所有作惡的人，先是猶太人，後是希臘人，

他卻沒有處死他們的兒子，因為照著摩西律法書上所記，耶和華曾吩咐：“不可因兒子的罪處死父親，也不可因父親的罪處死兒子；各人要因自己的罪被處死。”

“在那些日子，人必不再說：‘父親吃了酸葡萄，兒子的牙齒酸倒了。’因為各人必因自己的罪孽死亡；吃酸葡萄的，那人的牙齒必酸倒。

耶和華對亞倫說：“你和你的兒子，以及你父家的人，要與你一同擔當干犯聖所的罪孽，你和你的兒子要與你一同擔當干犯祭司職任的罪孽。

我又看見死了的人，無論大小，都站在寶座前。案卷都展開了，還有另一卷，就是生命冊，也展開了。死了的人都憑著這些案卷所記載的，照著他們所行的受審判。

我必以死亡擊殺她的兒女；眾教會就都知道我是察驗人肺腑心腸的，我要照著你們的行為報應你們各人。

至於那差你們來求問耶和華的猶大王，你們要這樣對他說：耶和華以色列的神這樣說：有關你所聽見的話，你聽見我攻擊這地方和它的居民的話，就是他們要成為荒涼，受咒詛，你的心就順服，在我面前謙卑，又撕裂自己的衣服，在我面前哀哭，我已經聽到了。這是耶和華的宣告。因此，看哪，我要使你歸到你的祖先那裡，你必平平安安地葬在你的墳墓裡；你不會看見我要降在這地的一切災禍。’”他們就把這話向王回報。

你們要告訴義人，他們必得福樂，因為他們必享自己行為所結的果子。惡人卻有禍了，他們必遭災難，因為他們必按自己手所作的得報應。

人子要在父的榮耀裡和眾天使一同降臨，那時他要照各人的行為報應各人。

“人子啊！你要對以色列家說：‘你們這樣說：我們的過犯和罪惡常在我們身上；我們必因此衰弱而死，怎能存活呢？’

他受了生命之苦以後，必看見光明，並且心滿意足；我的義僕必使許多人因認識他而得稱為義，他也必背負他們的罪孽。

求你從天上垂聽，施行你的作為，審判你的僕人，照著惡人所行的報應在他頭上；宣告義人無罪，照著他的義行賞賜他。

“看哪，我必快來！賞賜在我，我要照著各人所行的報應他。我是阿拉法，是俄梅格；我是首先的，也是末後的；我是創始的，也是成終的。”那些洗淨自己袍子的人是有福的！他們可以有權到生命樹那裡，也可以從門進到城裡。在城外，有那些狗，那些行邪術的、淫亂的、殺人的、拜偶像的，以及所有喜愛說謊的和實行說謊的人。

“如果有人犯罪：他聽見發誓的聲音（“發誓的聲音”或譯：“傳召作證的聲音”，或“發咒語的聲音”）；他本是證人，卻不肯把看見或知道的說出來，他就要擔當自己的罪責。

“如果有人犯了罪，行了一件耶和華吩咐不可行的事；他雖然不清楚，仍是有罪，他就要擔當自己的罪責。

照樣，基督為了擔當許多人的罪，也曾經一次把自己獻上；將來他還要再一次顯現，不是為擔當罪，而是要向那些熱切期待他的人成全救恩。

他借東西給人要收利息，也向人多要，這樣的人能存活嗎？他必不能存活；他行了這一切可憎的事，必要滅亡；他的罪（“罪”原文作“血”）要歸到他身上。

他在木頭上親身擔當了我們的罪，使我們既然不活在罪中，就可以為義而活。因他受的鞭傷，你們就得了醫治。

那吃祭肉的人，要擔當自己的罪責，因為他褻瀆了耶和華的聖物；那人必從自己的族人中被剪除。

求你從天上你的居所垂聽和赦免他們，你是知道人心的，你必照著各人所行的報應各人；因為只有你知道世人的心。

“因此，以色列家啊，我必照著你們各人所行的審判你們。你們回轉吧！離開你們的一切罪過吧！免得罪孽成為你們的絆腳石。這是主耶和華的宣告。

以色列眾人要為他舉哀，把他埋葬；屬耶羅波安的人中，只有他可以入葬墳墓；因為在耶羅波安的家中，只有他向耶和華以色列的神顯出善行。

“你要向左邊側臥，承擔以色列家的罪孽。你向左邊側臥多少日子，你擔當他們的罪孽也是多少日子。

“這贖罪祭是至聖的，耶和華又把祭肉給你們，要叫你們擔當會眾的罪孽，在耶和華面前為他們贖罪，你們為甚麼沒有在聖潔的地方吃呢？

那隻山羊就擔當他們的一切罪孽，把它們帶到一個完全隔離的地；所以那人要把那隻山羊送到曠野裡去。
