不，你辦迎賓席的時候，要請討飯的、殘廢的、瘸腿的、眼瞎的，你就有福了。

疲乏的人、你沒有給他水喝；饑餓的人、你把食物留着不給他。

仇恨你的若餓了，你就給他飯喫；若渴了，你就給他水喝；

心眼兒好的必蒙祝福；因為他將食物分給貧寒人。

豈不是把你的食物分給饑餓的人，將流浪的貧困人帶到你家中，見赤身裸體的、給他衣服遮身，而不躲藏避開你骨肉之親麼？這樣，你的光就必暴發如破曉，你的新肉就必迅速地生；你的義氣就必在你前頭行進；永恆主的榮光就必做你的後衛了。那時你呼求，永恆主就必應你；你喊救，他就必說：「啊，我在這裏！」『你若從你中間除掉壓制人的軛，除掉手指頭的指罵人和奸惡的講話；你若將你的食物拿出來供應饑餓的人，使困苦的人得到滿足，那你的光就必在黑暗中昇現起來，你的幽暗就必變像中午。

我若見將要死亡的人赤身無衣，或見貧窮的人毫無遮蓋，

其實你們只要把裏邊的施捨給人，那麼一切對你們就都潔淨了。

關心於貧寒人的有福啊；他遭難的日子、永恆主必搭救他。

她張開了手賙濟困苦人；伸手幫補貧窮的。
