“ Ezekiel, tell the Israelites,‘ The Lord and King asks,“ Will the vine grow? Won’t it be pulled up by its roots? Won’t all its fruit be stripped off? Won’t it dry up? All its new growth will dry up. It will not take a strong arm or many people to pull it up.

“ Say, Thus says the Lord God: Will it thrive? Will he not pull up its roots and cut off its fruit, so that it withers, so that all its fresh sprouting leaves wither? It will not take a strong arm or many people to pull it from its roots.

“ So now the Sovereign Lord asks: Will this vine grow and prosper? No! I will pull it up, roots and all! I will cut off its fruit and let its leaves wither and die. I will pull it up easily without a strong arm or a large army.

“ You are to say,‘ This is what the Lord GOD says: Will it flourish? Will he not tear out its roots and strip off its fruit so that it shrivels? All its fresh leaves will wither! Great strength and many people will not be needed to pull it from its roots.

Say,‘ This is what the Lord God says:“ Will it thrive? Will he not pull up its roots and cut off its fruit, so that it withers— so that all its sprouting shoots wither? And neither by great strength nor by many people can it be raised from its roots again.

“ Say,‘ Thus says the Lord GOD:“ Will it thrive? Will he not pull up its roots, Cut off its fruit, And leave it to wither? All of its spring leaves will wither, And no great power or many people Will be needed to pluck it up by its roots.

次日清早，众人起来往提哥亚的旷野去。出去的时候，约沙法站着说：“犹大人和耶路撒冷的居民哪，要听我说：信耶和华你们的神就必立稳；信他的先知就必亨通。”

率领我们的是神，我们这里也有神的祭司拿号向你们吹出大声。以色列人哪，不要与耶和华你们列祖的神争战，因你们必不能亨通。”

耶和华说：“祸哉！这悖逆的儿女。他们同谋，却不由于我，结盟，却不由于我的灵，以致罪上加罪；起身下埃及去，并没有求问我；要靠法老的力量加添自己的力量，并投在埃及的荫下。所以，法老的力量必作你们的羞辱；投在埃及的荫下，要为你们的惭愧。他们的首领已在琐安；他们的使臣到了哈内斯。他们必因那不利于他们的民蒙羞。那民并非帮助，也非利益，只作羞耻凌辱。”论南方牲畜的默示：他们把财物驮在驴驹的脊背上，将宝物驮在骆驼的肉鞍上，经过艰难困苦之地，就是公狮、母狮、蝮蛇、火焰的飞龙之地，往那不利于他们的民那里去。埃及的帮助是徒然无益的；所以我称她为“坐而不动的拉哈伯”。

葡萄树虽然栽种，岂能发旺呢？一经东风，岂不全然枯干吗？必在生长的畦中枯干了。”

他却背叛巴比伦王，打发使者往埃及去，要他们给他马匹和多民。他岂能亨通呢？行这样事的人岂能逃脱呢？他背约岂能逃脱呢？他轻看向王所起的誓，背弃王与他所立的约。主耶和华说：我指着我的永生起誓，他定要死在立他作王、巴比伦王的京都。敌人筑垒造台，与他打仗的时候，为要剪除多人，法老虽领大军队和大群众，还是不能帮助他。

‘耶和华以色列的神如此说：我要使你们手中的兵器，就是你们在城外与巴比伦王和围困你们的迦勒底人打仗的兵器翻转过来，又要使这些都聚集在这城中。并且我要在怒气、忿怒，和大恼恨中，用伸出来的手，并大能的膀臂，亲自攻击你们；又要击打这城的居民，连人带牲畜都必遭遇大瘟疫死亡。以后我要将犹大王西底家和他的臣仆百姓，就是在城内，从瘟疫、刀剑、饥荒中剩下的人，都交在巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒的手中和他们仇敌，并寻索其命的人手中。巴比伦王必用刀击杀他们，不顾惜，不可怜，不怜悯。这是耶和华说的。’

信上说：“万军之耶和华以色列的神对一切被掳去的，就是我使他们从耶路撒冷被掳到巴比伦的人，如此说：你们要盖造房屋，住在其中；栽种田园，吃其中所产的；娶妻生儿女，为你们的儿子娶妻，使你们的女儿嫁人，生儿养女。在那里生养众多，不致减少。我所使你们被掳到的那城，你们要为那城求平安，为那城祷告耶和华；因为那城得平安，你们也随着得平安。

列国的人民哪，任凭你们喧嚷，终必破坏；远方的众人哪，当侧耳而听！任凭你们束起腰来，终必破坏；你们束起腰来，终必破坏。任凭你们同谋，终归无有；任凭你们言定，终不成立；因为神与我们同在。

巴比伦王必将西底家带到巴比伦；西底家必住在那里，直到我眷顾他的时候。你们虽与迦勒底人争战，却不顺利。这是耶和华说的。’”

你们即便杀败了与你们争战的迦勒底全军，但剩下受伤的人也必各人从帐棚里起来，用火焚烧这城。’”

祸哉！那些下埃及求帮助的，是因仗赖马匹，倚靠甚多的车辆，并倚靠强壮的马兵，却不仰望以色列的圣者，也不求问耶和华。其实，耶和华有智慧；他必降灾祸，并不反悔自己的话，却要兴起攻击那作恶之家，又攻击那作孽帮助人的。埃及人不过是人，并不是神；他们的马不过是血肉，并不是灵。耶和华一伸手，那帮助人的必绊跌，那受帮助的也必跌倒，都一同灭亡。

摩西说：“你们为何违背耶和华的命令呢？这事不能顺利了。

耶和华如此说：“我必将犹大王西底家和他的首领，以及剩在这地耶路撒冷的余民，并住在埃及地的犹大人都交出来，好像那极坏、坏得不可吃的无花果。我必使他们交出来，在天下万国中抛来抛去，遭遇灾祸；在我赶逐他们到的各处成为凌辱、笑谈、讥刺、咒诅。我必使刀剑、饥荒、瘟疫临到他们，直到他们从我所赐给他们和他们列祖之地灭绝。”
