Say to them,‘ This is what the Sovereign Lord says: A great eagle with powerful wings, long feathers and full plumage of varied colors came to Lebanon. Taking hold of the top of a cedar,

说主耶和华如此说：有一大鹰，翅膀大，翎毛长，羽毛丰满，彩色俱备，来到黎巴嫩，将香柏树梢拧去，

说，主耶和华如此说：有一只大鹰，翅膀大，翎毛长，羽毛丰满，色彩缤纷；它飞到黎巴嫩，啄去香柏树梢，

说，主耶和华如此说：有一只大鹰，翅膀大，翎毛长，羽毛丰满，色彩缤纷；它飞到黎巴嫩，啄去香柏树梢，

告诉他们，主耶和华说，‘有一只大鹰翅膀宽大，羽毛丰满，色彩缤纷。这只鹰飞到黎巴嫩的香柏树上，折去树梢，

说：‘主耶和华这样说：有一只大鹰，翅膀大，翎毛长，羽毛丰富，彩色缤纷，来到黎巴嫩，把香柏树的树梢取去；

告訴他們，主耶和華說，『有一隻大鷹翅膀寬大，羽毛豐滿，色彩繽紛。這隻鷹飛到黎巴嫩的香柏樹上，折去樹梢，

說：‘主耶和華這樣說：有一隻大鷹，翅膀大，翎毛長，羽毛豐富，彩色繽紛，來到黎巴嫩，把香柏樹的樹梢取去；

說：主永恆主這麼說：有一隻鷹、翅膀大、翎翼長、羽毛豐滿、具有五彩色的、來到利巴嫩，將香柏樹的梢兒擰去；

主耶和華云、有一巨鷹、翼大、翎長、毛豐、文彩斑斕、至利巴嫩、取香柏之高枝、

當告之云、耶和華曰、巨鷹有翼、碩大無朋、毛羽豐健、文彩斑斕、集於利巴嫩、柏香木之高枝、為其所折、

告之曰、主天主如是云、有一巨鷹、翼大羽長、翎毛豐滿、采色俱備、至利巴嫩、在柏香木巔取柏香木之枝、

Tell them,‘ The Lord and King says,“ A great eagle came to the city of‘ Lebanon.’ It had powerful wings and a lot of long feathers. The feathers were colorful and beautiful. The eagle landed in the top of a cedar tree.

say, Thus says the Lord God: A great eagle with great wings and long pinions, rich in plumage of many colors, came to Lebanon and took the top of the cedar.

Give them this message from the Sovereign Lord:“ A great eagle with broad wings and long feathers, covered with many colored plumage, came to Lebanon. He seized the top of a cedar tree

You are to say,‘ This is what the Lord GOD says: A huge eagle with powerful wings, long feathers, and full plumage of many colors came to Lebanon and took the top of the cedar.

saying,‘ This is what the Lord God says:“ A great eagle with great wings, long pinions, and a full plumage of many colors came to Lebanon and took away the top of the cedar.

and say,‘ Thus says the Lord GOD:“ A great eagle with large wings and long pinions, Full of feathers of various colors, Came to Lebanon And took from the cedar the highest branch.

and say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: A great eagle with great wings and long pinions, full of feathers, which had divers colors, came unto Lebanon, and took the top of the cedar:

You are to say: This is what the Lord God says: A great eagle with great wings, long pinions, and full plumage of many colors came to Lebanon and took the top of the cedar.

And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; A great eagle with great wings, longwinged, full of feathers, which had divers colours, came unto Lebanon, and took the highest branch of the cedar:

Say to them:‘ This is what the sovereign LORD says:“‘ A great eagle with broad wings, long feathers, with full plumage which was multi-hued, came to Lebanon and took the top of the cedar.

and say,‘ The Lord Yahweh says:“ A great eagle with great wings and long feathers, full of feathers, which had various colors, came to Lebanon, and took the top of the cedar.

This is what the Lord says:“ Look! An eagle is swooping down, spreading its wings over Moab.

“ Put the trumpet to your lips! An eagle is over the house of the Lord because the people have broken my covenant and rebelled against my law.

Your Majesty, you are that tree! You have become great and strong; your greatness has grown until it reaches the sky, and your dominion extends to distant parts of the earth.

“‘ But there was another great eagle with powerful wings and full plumage. The vine now sent out its roots toward him from the plot where it was planted and stretched out its branches to him for water.

Jehoiachin was eighteen years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem three months and ten days. He did evil in the eyes of the Lord.In the spring, King Nebuchadnezzar sent for him and brought him to Babylon, together with articles of value from the temple of the Lord, and he made Jehoiachin’s uncle, Zedekiah, king over Judah and Jerusalem.

“ Say to this rebellious people,‘ Do you not know what these things mean?’ Say to them:‘ The king of Babylon went to Jerusalem and carried off her king and her nobles, bringing them back with him to Babylon.Then he took a member of the royal family and made a treaty with him, putting him under oath. He also carried away the leading men of the land,so that the kingdom would be brought low, unable to rise again, surviving only by keeping his treaty.But the king rebelled against him by sending his envoys to Egypt to get horses and a large army. Will he succeed? Will he who does such things escape? Will he break the treaty and yet escape?“‘ As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign Lord, he shall die in Babylon, in the land of the king who put him on the throne, whose oath he despised and whose treaty he broke.Pharaoh with his mighty army and great horde will be of no help to him in war, when ramps are built and siege works erected to destroy many lives.He despised the oath by breaking the covenant. Because he had given his hand in pledge and yet did all these things, he shall not escape.“‘ Therefore this is what the Sovereign Lord says: As surely as I live, I will repay him for despising my oath and breaking my covenant.I will spread my net for him, and he will be caught in my snare. I will bring him to Babylon and execute judgment on him there because he was unfaithful to me.All his choice troops will fall by the sword, and the survivors will be scattered to the winds. Then you will know that I the Lord have spoken.

Our pursuers were swifter than eagles in the sky; they chased us over the mountains and lay in wait for us in the desert.

Look! He advances like the clouds, his chariots come like a whirlwind, his horses are swifter than eagles. Woe to us! We are ruined!

The terror you inspire and the pride of your heart have deceived you, you who live in the clefts of the rocks, who occupy the heights of the hill. Though you build your nest as high as the eagle’s, from there I will bring you down,” declares the Lord.

in your hands he has placed all mankind and the beasts of the field and the birds in the sky. Wherever they live, he has made you ruler over them all. You are that head of gold.

At that time the officers of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon advanced on Jerusalem and laid siege to it,and Nebuchadnezzar himself came up to the city while his officers were besieging it.Jehoiachin king of Judah, his mother, his attendants, his nobles and his officials all surrendered to him. In the eighth year of the reign of the king of Babylon, he took Jehoiachin prisoner.As the Lord had declared, Nebuchadnezzar removed the treasures from the temple of the Lord and from the royal palace, and cut up the gold articles that Solomon king of Israel had made for the temple of the Lord.He carried all Jerusalem into exile: all the officers and fighting men, and all the skilled workers and artisans— a total of ten thousand. Only the poorest people of the land were left.Nebuchadnezzar took Jehoiachin captive to Babylon. He also took from Jerusalem to Babylon the king’s mother, his wives, his officials and the prominent people of the land.The king of Babylon also deported to Babylon the entire force of seven thousand fighting men, strong and fit for war, and a thousand skilled workers and artisans.

Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather.

You who live in‘ Lebanon,’ who are nestled in cedar buildings, how you will groan when pangs come upon you, pain like that of a woman in labor!“ As surely as I live,” declares the Lord,“ even if you, Jehoiachin son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, were a signet ring on my right hand, I would still pull you off.I will deliver you into the hands of those who want to kill you, those you fear— Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and the Babylonians.I will hurl you and the mother who gave you birth into another country, where neither of you was born, and there you both will die.You will never come back to the land you long to return to.”Is this man Jehoiachin a despised, broken pot, an object no one wants? Why will he and his children be hurled out, cast into a land they do not know?

The Lord will bring a nation against you from far away, from the ends of the earth, like an eagle swooping down, a nation whose language you will not understand,

After Jehoiachin son of Jehoiakim king of Judah and the officials, the skilled workers and the artisans of Judah were carried into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon by Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, the Lord showed me two baskets of figs placed in front of the temple of the Lord.

“ The first was like a lion, and it had the wings of an eagle. I watched until its wings were torn off and it was lifted from the ground so that it stood on two feet like a human being, and the mind of a human was given to it.
